You don't need to study music to be able to make good assessments of it. If you want to comment on the elements of musicality and such, that might help, but speaking frankly in plain terms about the things in the song that you enjoy is something that you might find value in. I don't really know because I've never been one to support studying music as a way to understand it. It's made so people who don't know the inner workings of it can enjoy it, right? I'm skeptical about the value of official music study unless you plan on making music. But it'd be interesting to hear some reasons as to why I'm wrong. On another note, I'm pretty sure not all of these are K-Pop, but I really like them and I think for the most part they are. Let me know what you think ^^ By the way, do you know any Korean? Are you planning on learning it if not?

I disagree with the last paragraph you wrote, because I still see them as stories and not games for the most part. But other than that you pretty much summarized it. It's not for everyone but it bothers me to see these people that just don't understand the purpose behind it and approach it with a mindset that ruins it for them.

That's also black. Cards like thoughtseize, duress, and inquisition of kozilek are for that purpose. You still need a way to win the game after you control their win condition though. You can splice blue for countermagic and run some big or recurring creatures. If you go mono-black then you should look into Phyrexian Obliterator

Elves is really big right now in Modern and Legacy. Go to mtgtop8 and you can find it in their lists. I think it's regarded as a combo deck due to the super rampy nature of elves. Actually black is the color associated with causing players to discard. Maybe something like this? http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/mono-black-discard-8/ I just googled it quickly. What you can do is find cards from those lists you like and edit then a little to your preference or ruin your synthesis by us?
