Tried out edelweiss and it is just ok so far. The art style is a bit of a put off. I also found there are not enough choices and the story just drags a bit. I'm thinking I'm near the end of the first route I tried which is the teacher. The story tends to spend too much time focusing on trivial things to do with your idiot friends. I was hoping for something a little bit different

I prefer my h scenes to be avoidable if possible especially if it is anywhere near loli content. It is good if it is just in a single route that I can avoid.

How playable is it with just the interface hack?

In old games true love. In new games kamidori Yes I know most people don't call them "Vn" but for me it is a loose term

How about fan translation ? How easily moddable are their games? I heard there was some sort of rough interface hack for it.

Yes the lack of customization/depth is where it falls short. Also it looks like some of the monsters were drawn in ms paint. The sound effects are also pretty laughable but the again most eroge sfx are pretty bad. I guess I got really spoiled by kamidori...

Speaking of rogue like do any eroge rogue likes exist? I'm curious to see what it is if it exists

So I decided to take a look at this oft referenced game and I found it fairly underwhelming so far. Does the game improve much in mgq2 and mgq3 or is it just the same thing over and over again with different monster girls?

Going to start a new game but not sure what yet.... The rest of the majikoi translation is going to take some time so I'm going to need something to pass the time. Everyone seems to rave about g senjou no maou so might give that a shot...

San shimai/three sisters story is pretty borderline. I'd say it contains a fair amount of sex but is not the only plot line. I seem to recall having to save one of the sisters at the end of the game. Amy to yobanaide would qualify in my eyes as "nukige"

Tried out school days. It wasn't a complete disaster but at the same time I can't exactly say I like the game all that much. There are worse games out there though.

Surprised to see some people suggesting school days. Just played through it for the first time and I'm not sure how much I want to see all the other endings. The flow of the games to move like an anime was cool but even when I got the "happy end" with one of the girls I wasn't exactly happy with it. Even as so called. " nukige" I don't think it would be all that good.

Now when the next patch does come out for this other route will it invalidate save data or have to be reinstalled ? Just wondering if doing a couple of the completed routes is a worthwhile idea

Part of me feels like labelling some games nukige is a blanket statement for people to turn their nose up at. Now I'm not saying that the vast majority of these games aren't terrible in their own right but it feels a bit snobby. It's like when people turn their nose up at great games like kamidori for having gameplay elements.

Hmm didn't see a lot of guys with long hair. Tattoos are generally frowned upon but long hair.... It won't help but really unsure on how much it would hinder. How well kept is it?

There is a good plugin called reikai chan ( I think that was the name) for kanji it was helpful for finding the meaning of kanji on the fly on websites
