Oh don't worry, I played it, but the H-scenes were awkward as fuck. The story was still great though.

Well, the only one with a closed ending is Amane's, so there's that. Otherwise I don't think the order really matters. Apparently the general opinion is that Makina's is the strongest story, but I'm not sure I agree with that. It is the longest, though.

Well, congratulations on your 100'th post!

I downloaded the game from erojiji and got the translation from http://meruppi.blogspot.nl/2013/07/english-translation-patch-10.html (the link under "update 3"). So yea, the translation is really bad at some points and it helps to have a basic understanding of Japanese. But IMO it isn't unplayable.

There is actually a patch that removes all censoring, and the translation I got was free. :/

Say, has anyone here played "Kono oozora ni, tsubasa wo hirogete"? I've just finished my first route (Kotori's), and I have to say this may be right up there with Majikoi as one of the best VN's I've seen so far. Just a shame the translation is atrocious at times. One thing that really stood out to me was how good the ending was. I rarely get that sense of closure, I'm always left wanting more. But not this time. I can only hope the other ones are just as good. Apart from the translation there's one thing that bothers me, and that is the lack of scene replay. Also, CG mode doesn't seem to work very well, as if some of the images are actually not where the game shows them. I can't view a lot of them as well, but then again this might be because it isn't actually there. Edit: Also, I don't seem to be able to delete saves. A bit annoying. Anyone know if I can do this through the folder or something?

Just my two cents on the Anime vs. VN's, I think it's not realistic to compare the two. Like apples and oranges. I love both for very different reasons.

Yeah... I don't know what that means, but I have Japanese language pack installed in my OS and I still get the problem, even when I switch the language to japanese. I never had any issues with the other 2 games, or any other VNs for that matter.

It's only when trying the replay function. All other extras work just fine.

Oh well, it probably wouldn't be a stretch to assume that every download of Majikoi A-1 currently available is the same version, thus with the same bug...
