Lucid 9 Started off a bit slice-of-lifey but I loved the humour, and the music and art was good, its getting intriguing now. Cant wait to see what happens next

The descriptions in 999 were great though, I'll miss them And if you play ZTD in Japanese you'll need English subtitles (unless you understand Japanese of course), so doesnt that render the "People don't like reading" point moot? Please tell me we can pause the subtitles or something similar like how you can advance text in most VN

Hmmm. Not sure how I feel about that, seems an odd change of direction IMO to finish a trilogy. I havent played any Telltale games I'm afraid.

Not sure how I feel about "cinematic scenes" with no text parts. I guess if you can press a button to advance the story and not just "watch" it that wont be so bad. It was weird hearing the trailer in English as I only played VLR in Japanese, but Zero's voice is amazing.

$225 for Vita? Oy.... I dont mind upping to $99 but paying all that money for a digital only release that you wont see for a year is rough Sad to say I think this will fail, its such a shame as I really want to play it

Overall I thought this was a good mystery/thriller especially for a free VN. The music was excellent. It's very short but still good There is some humour in places as well as tense moments.

I really like the "childhood friend" thing too, probably because I can really relate to having warm feelings for or crushes on some close friends.

I agree with you. The story/Battle Royale concept felt like it could be interesting, but it was nowehere near as good as I thought it would be. Episode 2 was just wrong, where the main character almost becomes some sort of paedophile with the girl, that was so squicky

I saw that comparison as them saying "If you love Steins Gate, you'll love this!" not that SG was crap or anything.
