The VN has a lot of endings and routes. I can tell you which exist without being too specific:

Getchu Bishoujo Game Awards 2018 are out
Mr Poltroon replied to ChaosRaven's topic in Visual Novel Talk
Indeed. For Rance to only get 2nd place can only mean that Summer Pockets must be truly spectacular. -
Getchu Bishoujo Game Awards 2018 are out
Mr Poltroon replied to ChaosRaven's topic in Visual Novel Talk
As far as I'm aware, Summer Pockets is in no way like Island. I believe that is why Kiririri is surprised. Once again, however, I have not played it. I've only seen opinions on it. -
Getchu Bishoujo Game Awards 2018 are out
Mr Poltroon replied to ChaosRaven's topic in Visual Novel Talk
Indeed, the premise is set up to make it look like a nukige. It isn't one so far as I understand, but I am sure there are those who can better explain it, as I've certainly not played it before. Also, puns. Plenty of puns and jokes, I've been told. -
Is there any way I can get my hands on the Katawa Shoujo Beta?
Mr Poltroon replied to Ryleona's topic in Visual Novel Talk
Even if it were, that does not invalidate reading a different version because they are, indeed, different. -

Just a video of me playing the puzzle mode of this game. I plan to do more of them, but I won't make a blog post for each one. Instead, they'll be replies on this one, probably. That said, I do plan to make something in this game involving the Fuwa community at a later date.

Irotoridori Kickstarter by Sol Press Funded at over 85k
Mr Poltroon replied to yelsha57's topic in Visual Novel Talk
Well, kind of a mix of those two. Kickstarter. -
Ah, I see where your concern lies. Do not worry. When I say 23, I am referring to the entire hour (as when I go to bed and when I fall asleep are distinct), meaning I may well fall asleep close to midnight, but when I say 9, it's definitely early 9 at the latest. As for the napping, those are on rare occasions: much more likely if I slept less due to having business in the early morning, and most certainly induced by me as a strange form of procrastinating. Napping is certainly much more appealing than working on the things I should be doing.
-
You might have noticed from my tone that I do not consider my sleeping habits to be of any concern. That said, I don't consider much at all to be of concern. I am certainly not visiting the doctor due to any particular problems, as I don't think or notice that I have any, or at least, that I have any that I consider negative. My main worries are things on my immediate future which I tackle one by one, such as my next University exam. In short, I am quite satisfied and have no real problems that I'm aware of. This question actually surprises me a fair bit. It makes me think that we're working on different assumptions or that our common sense differs. I or anybody in my family only visit the doctor when we're feeling sick or for a routine check. Going to a doctor specifically because of my sleeping habits, which I consider perfectly normal, or healthier than a lot of friends who are somehow able to survive of 5 hours of sleep (what??), is simply unthinkable. Much the same way, it's not something I'd mention to a doctor even if I went to one for whatever other reason. Speaking of health, though. I really should go to a dentist. I'm sure my teeth are bound to be screwed up with how long I haven't gone there.

Pardon me if I disagree. I have no problems with any kind with sleeping. Anybody I talk to about this agrees with me that sleeping too much makes you tired, and this is simply a case of that. If I fall asleep at around 23, as is usual when I'm in a routine, then sleeping till noon will make me tired (I usually sleep until 8 or 9). It's the same when I try to take 3, 4, or 5 hour naps whilst having slept properly that day. Those obviously numb me. If I keep the amount of time I sleep reasonable, then I won't feel tired. It's those kinds of long naps that I am referring to, and whilst I refer to it as 'tired', it is only because I know of no better term. 'Numb' likely works best, and being numb I can easily convince myself to do whatever until I wake up properly ten or twenty minutes later. I am sure there are many ways in which I am unhealthy, but sleep is not one of them, aside from napping for hours because I'm bored and procrastinating.
-
Well, in this case it's just excessive sleep. I wake up after a nap three or four times, perfectly comfortable, not tired, and, as such, don't feel like working. So, I fall asleep again until I reach the point where I can't sleep any more, a point in which I feel 'tired'.
-
I can contribute with my personal experience: I find it easier to do stuff I have to do I'd rather not immediately after waking up. I usually attribute this to being too tired to care. And since once I get started it's easier to keep going, this works reasonably. As such, what tends to happen is that I take a nap until I can't sleep anymore, and then go do whatever needs to be done.

To clarify, you are watching these films as the introduction to the series? A few years ago I tried Bakemonogatari, what I figured was the start of the series at the time; There was a lot of talking, which I'd usually appreciate, but I didn't really understand a bloody thing of what was going on, so I dropped it 4 episodes in. I'd write off the series entirely, but I actually quite liked Katanagatari (not the ending), which I think has no relation besides the name and author.

Magical Otoge series (free otome VN review)
Mr Poltroon commented on Plk_Lesiak's blog entry in EVN Chronicles
I'm not sure I understand what you mean here. I think I recorded like 20 minutes of the game, but it was grating on my voice, and I used a grating voice for the main character, so it'd be enjoyable for no one. -

Suki Suki aka If You Love Me Then Say So Released
Mr Poltroon replied to littleshogun's topic in Visual Novel Talk
I've come across some people with similar issues. The only solution I know of involves deleting a game file that records your progress, so you'd essentially reset the game. -
Keep us posted.

I'm afraid "males" is too wide a term for me to make an assessment. For instance, though I or Eclipsed may like such games, you may well not. There was, in fact, a thread about otome fairly recently. As you've already partaken in such a thread, perhaps the opinions of others cannot aid you here? I suggest you take the plunge and decide once and for all.

Reading Ginharu Very Slowly #14
Mr Poltroon commented on Flutterz's blog entry in Reading Ginharu Very Slowly
Yes! So glad to see this back. I will savour the next 1 to 6 entries for the year. -
Otome make consoles their target demographic. Consoles mean no porn, and no porn means they need something else to attract a fan base. All ages slice of life or drama cannot carry sales on their own, unless you're already an established player like Key or in the science; series.

Glad to hear Bloom Into You would not be my thing. Something about the first episode made me hesitate and nothing I've heard of the show since has lead me to regain interest. On the other hand, I've enjoyed Goblin Slayer. It has ultimately just been about slaying evil, without being all shounen about it. Fairly up my alley. The Bunny Senpai show started well enough with those first three episodes, and I've only heard good things since. However, at the time I felt the plot was being unnecessarily confusing, and given what I've seen some people mention, I'm starting to suspect the translation was to blame. I'm holding off on this to investigate further. The Slime anime is the greatest thing that has graced me in a while. And a whole 26 episodes of it, to boot! I am excited to see it continue. In my eyes, it is like all the other power fantasies where a nice guy does nice things, but I guess this one uses his head more and works with people more. It tends to be good at its core, which is great. Zombieland Saga had an hilarious start that really drew me in, but by episodes 3 and 4 started to turn into the idol show that it was meant to be. Unfortunately, I'm really averse to these for reasons I can't understand, which is weird, because I really like Shining Song Starnova. I fully intend on finishing this anime, but I can't quite muster the strength to do it all at once. There's this one about a magician in the modern world that's kind of about Colours, and I'm liking that. Magic in modern settings is always interesting to some degree. Also, I like stoic protagonists. Then there's Gakkou no Juliet which seemed like a fun comedy that immediately establishes the couple and avoids my immediate concern. Until the first new girl showed up. I stopped before that episode in fear of what was to come, and haven't restarted it since. I've also heard it doesn't go much of anywhere, but I think I'll still find out for myself. I also watched a single episode of that Vampire anime, and while amusing, I suspect it wouldn't be able to keep it up for too long.
