allright, thanks for the help everyone

I personally think that romance is necessary, but I also agree with your second point, if you takeone, then the others should be able to end up with someone else

Recently started Da Capo, liking it so far except for one thing, I cant seem to figure out the route system Everytime I choose somewhere to go, its a different person, giving me the sense that I am kinda just strolling around hoping to fall into routes, lol. Im sure this is probably the way it was intended, in a 'you have to know your girl' kinda way or something. At first, when I heard the voices when you hovered over the are to go to, maybe that was an indication as to who would be there, but either I just haven't heard their voices enough to be able to actually place them, or I am just wrong about that. So, preferably without spoiling too much (if possible, it not then I will deal ) is Da Capo set up to be just kind of a meandering path, is there a way to actually put myself on specific routes, am I just to slow to realize what's actually going on? (its possible)

So, for those of you who finished at least a good number of the routes (cant have a statistic without a study right?) Which one/s did you like the most? And/or what were you're favorite moments? I think my favorite routes were Sagonomiya Saya's and Fujinami Tomoko's, I liked Saya's because she had this wonderful onee-san kind of vibe to her, cool, collected, etc. and I liked Tomoko's because it made me feel good, helping a emotional shut-out get over her problems, and bring her out of her shell again. Although one of my favorite moments was when you first run into Class President and for some reason don't recognize her at all, and I'm like 'are you serious? Like really serious? Its obviously her, what are you talking about' lol

I may try venturing into Untranslated, I can read some Japanese, but doubt I am profecient enough to make it on my own so maybe with one of those copy-translate programs. And, please don't take this as inflammatory, as that is not at all what I intend, but not knowing its rape doesn't negate it And yeah, when I first read some of the tags and the synopsis, Daibanchou was the first thing I thought of, and reading about what some people said about Rance, I thought the same thing, that Rouga would definitely go after this dude lol
-
Like, setting wise? 3 kingdoms/Sengoku periods, but all the generals are cute girls instead of old bearded men? Well, it doesn't have to be 3 kingdoms or Sengoku periods but maybe just something that feels similar, sort of like Daibanchou, but preferably without excessive amounts (or any) rape, and yes, unfortunately this takes out Sengoku Rance. People have told me that in Sengoku Rance, it's 'comedic rape' and not meant to be taken seriously, but I still can't bring myself to even try it. Although, I guess it if its similar to Daibanchou in the respect that the protagonist is not the one that rapes...I could maybe be ok with that, if we get a chance to save them from it by choosing certain actions or something. But I digress, I didn't mean to talk about all of that lol. So, anyone know anything like that?

Can you think of some your favored VN's? I personally loved Canvas 2, which I also recently finished, I definitely haven't played/read many of them though, so that may only be because it is still fresh for me

So, after finishing the Canvas 2 VN I decided to watch the anime

From what I have seen, all the parts in the Canvas series are seperate, just in the same verse, IE: Canvas 1 was about Asou Daisuke and...that other big name in Canvas 2...Sakuraza whats-her-name, etc. -
Maybe an odd question, about the existence of a possible VN

Awesome! Thanks Aaeru -

Well, in the anime, the protag is a student-teacher, not a teacher, the way he acts is also almost a 180 from the way he acts in the VN, instead of being aloof, a prankster, and generally apathetic about everything, he is fairly nice, helpful and kinda motivated. Alot of the heroines have slightly different personalities also, but that may just be my imagination since playing the VN, I invested my own thought into their mannerisms. If I had to choose, I liked the VN better, because I got to choose the route he was on -

Yea, its still a good anime, it was also turned kinda into a harem, which is easy to understand though, since the VN also had some pretty haremy tones to it, but it is pretty good though -
Welcome to the Fuwanovel forums, I haven't read either of those VN's yet, although I plan to get to Hoshizora No Memoria...sometime I don't know if you have tried it, although it is likely, but Katawa Shoujo was pretty awesome imo, and Canvas 2 was a fairly awesome one also.

Welcome to the forums, can you think of a VN or two that you liked the most out of the ones you've played? Not many, just maybe one or two that left a real impact with you?

Just started Shuffle, so far is hilarious, im only up to the point where Primula makes her appearance, but I think its hilarious that while everyone talks about Kaede, Nerine, and Sia's fan clubs, Miyami is the only one to mention Tsuchimi's fan club, which is growing to be a force possibly to even rival the Tripe Triple-letter fan clubs.

Tears to Tiara: On the synopsis on VNDB, it said single ending
torbin12 replied to torbin12's topic in Visual Novel Talk
Yea, I just finished downloading it also, but I started playing Shuffle before it finished, so I will probably finish Shuffle before trying it out. -
So, without spoiling to much for me, does this basically mean there is just the one route/play-through/etc? Or is it just that it ends the same way no matter which route you're on or whatnot? I personally hope its the latter, since I prefer VNs with more than one heroine, preferably a good number of them.

I dont know, I loved how Rin, who was this deadpan (more or less emotionless) girl, who you watched as she ran through these subtle emotions that were, for her, actually huge differences, and I liked how it was like oil and water, , the ending cutting the tension was, to me, the biggest sense of fullfillment, since Rin's route was the hardest to finish, because of all the tension, it was like I REALLY had to work to finish it up. Hanako's route was pretty easy to me, since it was mostly about healing a broken heart, not broken from love, but broken from pain and isolation, which comes naturally to me (not trying to brag or anything, it just is something I am skilled in, helping people) but it was definitely still my second favorite, so many amazing scenes.
-
I personally think Rin was my favorite route, although it got Kind of like Fight Club, if instead of fighting, it was romance, and instead of big burly dudes, it was a deadpan girl with no arms. But the feeling I had from finishing her route the right way, first time through, was trumped by only one moment in Hanako's route when Hanako was probably my second favorite route. What about you guys? What were your favorite routes, moments, or scenes from this wonderful, heart-tugging VN? (If my spoilers are messed up, please let me know)

Do we have a forum for this? If not, maybe?
torbin12 replied to torbin12's topic in Visual Novel Talk
Awesome, looking forward to it with much anticipation, I just love the idea of being able to discuss our favorite parts of our VNs -
Or maybe just the standard Visual Novel Talk forum would be sufficient, but anyways, what I was thinking about it, since I would love to do it with Canvas 2 once I am done with it (although I am only about half-way) but maybe making a forum for discussing Visual Novels after completion, things like our favorite Character routes, aspects we liked or didn't, whatever was related to the Visual Novel (after completion) I was thinking of a separate forum since this would understandably deal with ridiculously large amounts of spoilers for anyone who hadn't finished the VN yet. I don't know, maybe I'm weird, but I think this would be pretty cool. And also, I am sorry about making post after post, if that really does bother anybody, I am truly sorry.

Right now, saving up for Sei Monmosu Gakuen, because the ad on Jlist was just amazing, *quote* 'What is better than a school full of cute girls? How about, a school full of cute MONSTER girls?' *end quote* I mean really? Its like 'Well, you got me there.' Lol, plus, I am really into the appeal of cute monster girls, for some reason.
