Aldnoah zero doesn't disappoint, that's for sure^^ I especially like how Inaho and Slaine are polar opposite, Inaho being the cynical / pragmatic / emotionless type, while Slaine is the typical passionate and faithful type, and how both of them get equal importance as main characters. And probably best OST for 2014 so far. Dat music.

Fuwanovel Community Spotlight Video Series Official Thread
Diamon replied to OriginalRen's topic in Members' Lounge
Good luck with this! It's really a good initiative for the fuwa community! I'm very impressed by the amount of time and resources you spend on the fuwa forums, and I really feel that it's thanks to people like you that fuwa is such an entertaining and interesting place! EDIT : Have you thought about putting some english subs in your videos? (maybe through Youtube a annotations?) A lot of people on fuwanovel (like myself) are not english native speaker, and might have an easier time reading through what you say than listening to it. -
Hello, welcome to fuwa! Rewrite is a very nice VN to read (it's my personal favorite), but it might be a bit lengthy(easily over 50 hours of reading). Anyway, hope you'll enjoy your time here!

I agree, that's definitely a must! (and something I have to improve myself on as well ^^')

BG artists are generally very hard to find (I talk from experience), since very few artists dedicate their time to drawing only backgrounds. You might want to take a look on deviantart, but unless you're very, very, very lucky, the artists will ask for payment. As for promotion more generally, a blog is a good thing to have at the beginning, as I feel that Twitter and Facebook are a bit limiting in terms of customization (facebook should fit the bill if it's for basic updates though). Try to make a good impression on the communities you want to appeal, especially Lemmasoft and Fuwanovel since they are the biggest communities that will support you. When I say leave a good impression, it means : - Take care of your public relationships, and treat every people interested in your project with due respect (even if they are only criticizing you, and there will be people like that), that's especially true if your VN involves money (either a kickstarter or a commercial VN) - Stay humble and keep a low profile until you have some assets / teasers to show. It's better to keep your energy to work on your project and improve it before trying to make the buzz and appeal to the masses, real and heavy advertisement should wait until you have a demo before you can really focus on it. As for your kickstarter, I can't emphasize enough on how much you need to take care of the design of your presentation page. A video is mandatory, if possible a teaser video (or an opening) would be great, but might be hard to do without the resources. Also, keep in mind that a kickstarter is a double edged sword. If things go wrong (and I hope it won't, but it can happen), you will have to make sure to fund back those who tried to support you. Basically, I'm saying that if you're doing a kickstarter, you must be sure of the direction where you're going, and that you took some precautions so that you can reach your goal even if things go wrong (for example, you'll have to make sure that your artists will stay through the end, because changing artists midway is difficult. Same goes for your writers). Anyway, creating a visual novel is a long road ahead, but it's definitely worth it, especially if you're having fun while doing it. After 6 months spending creating a Visual Novel, I had lot of hardship, but also met a lot of amazing and skilled people that I can now call my friends, even despite the language barrier, and it's motivating to work with such wonderful people. If you manage to create such bonds among the members of your team, then no doubts that your VN will come to completion!

What's your favourite 'Comedy Routine' music?
Diamon replied to Mr Poltroon's topic in Visual Novel Talk
It's not my favorite musically speaking, but I can't help having a stupid grin when I hear this : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=71G_hxDgnHM&index=29&list=PLFACB1CED3B908B79 -
Grisaia hands down, however Little Busters comes close second I'd say (the fact that grisaia could afford ecchi jokes probably helped).

I enjoyed a lot Rewrite as a visual novel, the music was very good, as expected from a Key game, the common route was very funny, even though it got repetitive a few times. I liked the heroine, but none of them particularly stood out among the different VN / anime heroine I'm used to, except maybe Lucia (Shizuru' would have marked me more if the ending of her route wasn't that sucky). But what I really, really enjoyed was the thematic in Moon and Terra, and how : and Finally And that's mostly why Rewrite is probably my favorite VN so far.

What English Original VN are you looking forward to?
Diamon replied to Kimanor's topic in Visual Novel Talk
Do I really need to say it? Well, I am looking forward to the demo release of Violet Hill though! Also, I had a lot of expectations concerning Kendo Crush, but looks like they are going to make a 180° shift by including mechas and a sci-fi universe, so I don't really know what to think... -
Disclaimer : I'm not saying this as an OELVN creator, but as a VN reader. Honestly, a visual novel is a visual novel, even if the creators are not japanese. And while it's true that a lot of OELVN are very amateur-ish and tend to fail to reach a certain quality, there are some OELVN that are very good, and that would deserve some more recognition. I don't see why a reader would try to differentiate that much (good) OELVN and japanese VN, since they are basically offering the same experience. Maybe the only thing differentiating is that the stories and plots are different of different type / genre. So I'm all for it, granted you manage to pick only the most interesting OELVN.

Hey, welcome to the forums! As for me, my favorite VN would be Rewrite, mostly because the main thematic of the VN affected me very deeply. Else, Steins;Gate is also one of my favorite, because it probably has one of the most awesome group of protagonists, one of the best character development, and SCIENCE. Hope we'll get along!

oelvn project Lucid9 (available for free on Steam)
Diamon replied to Diamon's topic in Original Projects
A little announcement, thanks to the new people we've been recruiting during august concerning the different assets creation, we might be able to release some playable content (ie a very short demo) relatively soon! I can't promise for sure, but you can expect it for second half of September if everything goes well (well, everything goes well only in an ideal world, so there might be some delay). Content will be Day 1 of common route, and there should be around 20 minutes of reading content. Hopefully day 1 will be a good introduction to our world setting, to the story and to some of the characters! Get hyped (or not)! Also, we just made some new blog posts : One about writing, an interesting explanation about "method writing" from our lead writer Megan : http://lucid9.weebly.com/blog/off-the-record-method-writing And another post with a Rui presentation, and a new OST from Greg! http://lucid9.weebly.com/blog/when-it-rains-it-pours -
is this website reliable for all downloads? (answered)
Diamon replied to RexMasa's topic in Voluntary Tech Support
Yup, the links are safe don't worry. Some antivirus might act up because of the cracked nature of the files, but it will be only false alerts. -
Need VNs similar to Katawa Shoujo any sugestions?
Diamon replied to yoshitom69's topic in Recommendations
If what you are seeking is the aspect of the VN that focuses on the problems of different girls, or if you seek romance, you should try Key stuff. Kanon, Clannad, Little Busters (however Kanon is the only one with H-scenes) -
Haha I'm happy to see that our project caught your interest! Don't hesitate to post on our thread! And anyway, welcome to the fuwa forums! Hope you'll enjoy your stay here!

Looking for vn that goes to the romance fast?
Diamon replied to Flamingmangos's topic in Recommendations
Try Shinigami no kiss, I remember romance happening quite fast, but it might also be because the VN is not that lengthy. -
