  1. I made it further in the test than I'd like to admit before I realized that this quiz was for women. But I thought it'd be a waste if I dropped it, so here are my results:
  2. If there's a shitload of money on offer I just might consider it.
  3. At home because I don't have a portable Windows 10 device. Alas, I'd play stuff on Android or Vita, but they lack regional pricing and I'd need to invest the money you'd probably invest into an entire new console to buy a single game (e.g. a single game would cost me close to 150-200 Lira, which in my understanding is close in terms of buying power to the 200$ you use to buy a PS4 in the US.)
  4. this is what I'll tell people now if they ask me my opinion of Muv Luv Extra
  5. This is a bold idea... Be careful to not let your enemies defeat you with a smear campaign.
  6. The Ever17 skin because it features Sora Akanegasaki, probably someone I'd die for if they were real
  7. Confession: It bothers me deeply to look at my country's history. We have so many controversial actions, I'm wondering if I'm being a traitor to be against my country's policy in many past events or if I'd be gobbling up propaganda if I supported them.
  8. Would you look at that, these are two of my favorites back to back! Also, have to post a Umineko one. Counting the PS3 port's two OPs, there are a total of six OPs for Umineko and they're all great. I think my favorite is Kiri no Pithos: Lastly, I used to watch Danganronpa 2's and Steins;Gate's OPs over and over again. Won't post those, they're well known.
  9. I'm sort of juggling Dark Souls 3 (got to the final area and have Nameless King & DLC left, but I'm burned out), Hollow Knight (was underwhelmed the last time I played it but it's more absorbing this time around, different expectations I guess), and my NieR Automata replay hanging over me. Not to mention that Steins;Gate 0 is coming to Steam tomorrow (or any minute now), which I'll get to after a few exams this and next week, and on the 17th launches the LONG-awaited Fata Morgana fandisk, which I'll have to nab. Probably gonna be switching between HK and S;G0 once exams are over, because I spent something above 250 hours on Souls games in the last year, and I'm getting really burned out while I'm hitting apparently some of the toughest bosses in Fromsoft's entire repertoire, I'm close to giving up on DS3 otherwise. Also binged through 2/3 of Automata in a span of 2 days in my first playthrough, and didn't like the latter half as much as I wanted to (which was why I was replaying it in the first place, to see if I'd like it better with tempered expectations)-- I'm currently in Route B which means parts of the game I've seen about FOUR times. It wears thin, even though Automata's first half is probably one of my favorite experiences in gaming ever. So I need to give that some time to cool off, as well. And did I mention I bought HuniePop today and binged it for 5 hours straight? Because that happened. And I'm nabbing Prey the very second it gets a 50% discount again, had been counting on an anniversary sale but that didn't happen.
  10. Goddamn this is great work. noddingboromir.gif
  11. The House In Fata Morgana. It builds up. Then the latter half hits you and it's basically a 15 hour cryfest. You first cry because you can't take the feelings anymore, and then you cry, with relief this time because the plot decided to wind down for a few minutes. They didn't for me, but Higurashi and Umineko have some really hard-hitting moments. Steins; Gate (the anime at least) got to me hard. 999 and Virtue's Last Reward (sold as "The Nonary Games" on recent platforms) got to me on many occasions. Same goes for Ever17. Planetarian got to me by the end. YU-NO got to me in a few moments.
  12. Tomorrow's my last proper day of high school... Haven't had classes in a while, but tomorrow we'll be holding a little fun show/activity thingy to our underclassmen and then we'll proceed to fuck off (except for a few exams I'll take the next two weeks). I don't know what to feel. I am thoroughly disappointed with my decisions and how I acted throughout this last five years, so it's a rather mellow undertaking so far. That said, I've developed a circle of wonderful friends throughout the years. From underclassmen who look up to me to people to shoot the crap with to close friends for the thick and thin of it all-- more than I deserve, but what can you do.
  13. Erdogan just called snap elections for the next president. It coincided with the day the university entrance exams were supposed to be held, so the exams got postponed. The Turkish Lira is in an absolutely pitiable state (its value dropped like 5% in two days a few weeks ago), press freedom's nigh-nonexistent (everyone that hates Erdogan's a terrorist in his eyes), and Erdogan took Afrin to boost nationalism (to eradicate the PYD fighters there, which, in all of Turkey's opinion, are covert supporters of the PKK terrorist faction), so there's no way he won't win. Today's a national holiday and they'll block off access to Taksim Square, one of the city's most historic landmarks and the site of the Gezi protests that were sparked in 2013, to prevent any protest from organizing. On the up(?)side, we got a new right-wing opposition party that's more nationalist (rather than Islamist, I guess). They called themselves The Good Party (lmao) but I think I'll vote for them (my first vote, hah...) because the left-wing opposition (CHP) is completely full of inept fools who have no presence or stance except calling out Erdogan. It's shit. And it won't get any fucking better. I almost wish the coup had succeeded so that we'd have a new Islamist to violate our rights and freedoms. Also, I'm probably in the 1% of Turkish society because anyone with the time to learn comprehensive English here (and then discover VNs) is bound to be a member of a well-off family that can afford private education. The upper class here is overwhelmingly left-wing, primarily because we have access to better education and are subject to less backwards-ass religious tradition.
  14. Sorry, I didn't consider Denuvo particularly because a VN of all things using Denuvo is hilarious to me
  15. Well, the Visibility Day is made to actually humanize (and particularly for lesbians, de-fetishize) lesbians. It's both for lesbian people to express pride and acceptance of their identity (something especially young LGBT people need to see), as well as to show that LGBT people are not alien but belong amongst us.
  16. I mean, I don't enjoy having them, but I understand why they would be implemented. Unless it's deliberately anti-consumer or is online-only or something, I don't have much of a stance against them.
  17. I don't trust NK and honestly I don't see how anything could be improving geopolitically in this hellscape that is our current situation. (Living in Turkey, I've seen our president claim the economy's glorious while our currency's plummeting in value while we took in 3 million Syrian refugees (a good thing!) and then see our government try to use the very same refugees as bartering chips for visas with the EU, an occupation in Syria that I'm not sure if is perpetuating or eradicating terrorism, while Trump and Putin still do their well-known shit.) But I hope this is just me being edgy
  18. Unless there's a particular recommended order, I'll actually do the best girl first. That frees up my mind to appreciate the other routes for what they do. I very rarely play VNs where the main progress route is through different routes for every heroine, though. So this mostly isn't much of an issue in the first place.
  19. that's a... bit of a stretch, lol I'm tempted to try it now. I've heard great praise for it.
  20. your present is the realization that you won't receive a material present because we'll all be forgotten within a couple generations anyway. how many people are going to remember you exist in 70 years?
  21. All significant endings achieved and significant optional parts read.
  22. Both can work very well. Umineko with choices would've probably been unbearable, whereas Steins;Gate's true ending is way too fucking convoluted to get. The House In Fata Morgana only employs choices that lead to a bad ending almost immediately and that works in its favor, while YU-NO's sheer hell of choices, routes and brances serves to flesh out its world and themes in a very memorable and entertaining way. If we're talking about the true route/no true route debate, I prefer there to be a true route. Not necessarily something that invalidates all other routes, but I want the game to wrap things up after you explore all individual routes in a sensible way. Otherwise it feels more like busywork, to me at least. Not that I've played any charage VN without a true route, maybe except... Muv Luv Extra and Grisaia.
