I detest it. I simply don't feel like any moege presents a plausible cast of characters or plausible interactions. Now, the same's true for many things I indulgently enjoy. But moe is also very formulaic in a manner that's very grating to me. Interactions in moege always feel rather shallow and insincere to me. Also, the sheer focus on romcom just depresses me because let's face it I can't envision myself being mature, caring and reliable enough to turn someone's life around.

I'm sure all the sexualized "u-uu-me-pure-virgin-please-exploit" anime girls will provide the Japanese youth with the needed nuanced understanding of mutual respect, consent and sexual maturity.

This is a joy to read lol. AA2 is nowhere near AA1's cases in terms of tension or emotional stakes, IMO. Hope you enjoy it, regardless. I'll take a good long break and then I'll go back to play Trials and Tribulations, myself.

Umineko is the most worthwhile and interesting VN out of the ones in that list. Followed by Danganronpa 2 (provided you've played the first one, of course). Steins; Gate is great too. I find Grisaia is meh.

I've been on my spring break this past week, which I primarily used to finish NieR Automata. Route B in one day (one sitting), the rest of the game the day after (again, single sitting). The first half of the game (plot-wise) is honestly amazing, full of iconic moments and emotional scenes. I'll never forget Ending A. I found the second half disappointing. I'm on the last case of Ace Attorney 2. I've wanted to play Trials and Tribulations for a long time now, especially since I want to know how they connect to AA1. We shall see now.....

I finished NieR Automata (basically played through the latter half of the game in a single sitting) yesterday. I am disappointed with the latter parts of the game, though the finale is fucking excellent. Going to finish Ace Attorney 2 and then I'll replay Automata with more realistic expectations.

Wow, it really IS cheap as fuck (close to the price of a single Higurashi chapter here, about a couple cups of coffee's worth).
