  1. Your title is misleading, you are looking for Visual Novel's not anime recommendations right?
  2. True enough you didn't order the crazy racist, but you have to admit that that expression is just a certain kind of special.
  3. You mean something like this? Wasn't there a cameo made by a They are my noble masters character when Cookie transformed into his third form? I'd chalk it up to laziness. I have played a VN where they went on and on about how crowded it was both on a plane and in the train station yet in the images shown there was not a single person around for miles. Still I wonder why you would draw a bed if you wanted the character to sleep on a futon its like they didn't share the context of the situation with the artists.
  4. Thats probably why I actually like Momoyo in Majikoi in contrast to someone like Medaka Kurokami from Medaka Box which I absolutely loathe. There needs to be a good balance between characters so they can play off of each others strengths and weaknesses. Yamato is a fairly awesome protagonist when it comes down to it and you're right there are certain things only he can do so that it never feels like he is thrown to the wayside. I still feel bad for Moro though since his only use is crossdressing, if he was the protagonist I probably would have hated majikoi.
  5. @Ouraibaa Hjyurraa There are those I guess, though she supposedly always pays yamato back after he's handled her debt. I actually don't dislike Momoyo I just don't like her archetype I think that it limits character growth and makes the MC feel severely inferior by comparison which can be a bad thing when you put yourself in the MC's shoes.
  6. When I say apparent I'm not talking about any mental flaws that all characters have, that comes with having a personality, and would be like trying to define perfection everyone has their own definition of that it's a very subjective thing. I mean that no matter what Kawakami Momoyo tries to do she inevitably succeeds in. Yes we do hear that she is bad at studying, but never once have we heard of her failing at something even if it isn't fighting she simply has no visible flaws. Meanwhile Point is unlike these two Momoyo does not know failure. Same for certain characters such as Hume or the Kuki clan itself who pride themselves on being perfect. I know that Momoyo has some mental flaws but unfortunately I am unable to find being otherwise infallible very endearing or sympathetic. Her grandfather did fight her in the Kazuko route and supposidly he wasn't holding back. I think that hume also fights her in A-1, but
  7. I think that when utilized properly H-Scenes can be used to show a helpful degree of intimacy. Sex scenes are something that exist in a lot of all adult themed media, but when you watch it you don't need to read about it so it's understandable why people don't want to have to read 40 lines about how it makes the MC feel. Most japanese created characters have a seriously prudish attitude towards anything that could be construed as sexual behavior and at times it can hurt character development. A problem I had with Clannad was that
  8. Have they improved the combat system any? I only played the first game but I remember that I had to play it in once a week doses because there was far too much trivial grindy combat using a very time consuming and repetitive combat system. The combat was the only reason why I never did a second playthrough, it was far too tedious.
  9. Everything is worthy of some sort of criticism Majikoi is far from the perfect VN. In fact while I do enjoy Majikoi one of the main issues I have with it is the apparent lack of flaws that of most of it's cast seems to suffer from *ehem*....(Momoyo). Come to think of it that might be why I like Mayuzumi's route so much seeing as how she is the only one with a glaring character fault. Also I understand that the title is Samurai Girls, but would it be too much to have at least one male character who could halfway compete with most of the cast? Hell even Momoyo's grandfather who has many more years experience and is the head of the Kawakami school of martial arts where she learned to fight can't even make her get serious. There is just a point where it becomes far too contrived.
