Also, I don't agree that H-scenes are a minor part of the experience, but to each their own. Having read recently Koirizo, I can say with full confidence that had it not been for the H-scenes, I wouldn't have enjoyed it as much as I did. I enjoy PULLTOP H-scenes a lot, and I really don't want to skip on that content. Some may call H-scenes in VNs "shoehorned" or whatever, but for me, they're a great part of an experience.

Let me clarify on what I meant by that, I only meant that for this visual novel not others, Konosora is clearly ruined without the H-Scenes and so is The Fruit of Grisaia, both of these rely heavily on the H-Scenes to help with the story.

Story is pretty ruined, and also a bit bad from the source i think. Everyone saying Hikari route is good and felt romance like needs an head exam. The moenovel operation reduced it to more of a friend route as there was little chemistry and what chemistry it had was.. removed. Saya was better for sure though.

I completely disagree, story is not ruined, not even close and Hikari's route is good but imho all routes are good, not a single route is bad, nothing you say will change my mind on that.

Fuwa Elite, thank you very much!! Really MoeNovel simply ruined the novel... Waiting for full release!!

I disagree that MoeNovel ruined the visual novel, the translation isn't that bad, it's nowhere near as bad as If My Heart had Wings, there are some bad spots (not even that many and mostly in the prologue) but it is still a very enjoyable read.

You really should read it yourself before saying they ruined it, you really have no right to an opinion if all you're going by is the views of others, read/play it yourself before you go and say MoeNovel ruined it otherwise I'm not taking you seriously at all, I never like it when people blindly believe in the opinions/views of other people without even trying the product themselves.  Also the H-Content is so minor to the story it won't add anything important.

This project will likely take longer then it did for If My Heart had Wings re-translation, it's honestly not worth the wait.

Is it worth play with the partial patch or is better to wait the full patch?

The choice is up to you but imho reading the first two routes can give you a good idea if the visual novel will even be something you will like, the translation is really good though, it's a Dark Fantasy themed visual novel just so you know.

For me I'm glad I read what is currently translated, I just have to wait for the full translation patch now, I do have a lot of other visual novels I haven't finished yet.

Is there a date for the release of the full patch?

The side stories aren't even close to being done so I doubt an ETA will be possible until they have a lot more progress, currently only 4.23% of the side stories are done (there are 19 side stories in total), I don't know how often they update the chart though: https://onedrive.live.com/view.aspx?resid=2AA0C152F3ABC311!169&ithint=file%2cxlsx&authkey=!AMiZoMMtMwT6WaI.

I've already finished reading through Fione and Eris's routes so I'm just waiting for the full translation.

It's been a while since I played the game but each woman has a couple endings. One will end the game with that woman and the other will take you to the next chapter. There may be bad ends etc. as well. I haven't found a walkthrough. I'd guess that seiya-saiga.com has one if you can figure out their site navigation.

According to VNDB page on the title there aren't any bad ends otherwise it would list them on the tags for it, it uses a Ladder Structure which I believe is a new tag they came up with since when I played Grisaia no Kajitsu (it's one of the titles that has it now) a long time ago I'm pretty sure that tag wasn't there, there aren't that many titles that have it though.

I've noticed even if you choose what would normally be a bad choice it actually will choose the right one just with a little extra from the MC.

About that website, I did find one from a thread on VNDB but it's in Japanese and can't be translated to English for whatever reason, I've come to the conclusion that a walkthrough guide isn't necessary for this title.

  6. Is there any way to tell what chapter you're on when reading this visual novel?  So far I haven't seen any indication of this, there isn't even a date/time display anywhere.

I am enjoying what I'm reading however, wish I would've known about this project but I don't really browse that much on this forum.

Does anyone have a walkthrough guide for this visual novel?  It's possible I'm on Eris Chapter now since the focus is on her now.

This is just a shot in the dark as I haven't played it, but if you're using an Nvidia graphics card then make sure shadowplay is disabled.

That isn't the problem at all, I have that enabled and don't have hanging at all.  Shadowplay never interferes with any game.  Also if you don't even have GFE (Geforce Experience) installed you won't even have shadowplay to begin with, you need GFE for that but you need to manually trigger shadowplay for it to even do anything, it doesn't run on it's own.

Hello, I've noticed that whenever i get into a battle in-game, the game "hangs" during the impact frames for attacks, I've tried installing codecs yet none have worked.

Not only that, the battle maps seems to be missing some text (example below)

    age_2019-11-13_18-18-55.png

    compared to

    Discord_2019-11-13_22-29-26.png

for the record, yes my system locale is in japanese

image on top is my game, below is my friend's.

    appreciate any help.

My copy displays the same as your first image:

    7a6ffc351fea062960796379f1ea6ccf.jpeg

I believe this is normal and doesn't mean anything is wrong with your copy.

Your friends screenshot appears to have sections that aren't translated (the text you're seeing is Kenji), those shouldn't be showing up at all.

About the hanging issue, I don't know about that because I've never had that problem before.

I'd been running 1.0 when I discovered this last night.  This afternoon I redownloaded from JAST which gave me version 1.01.  Does JAST not have the most recent version?

Go here https://nekonyansoft.com/shop/product/22 for the update, it's free, works on all versions.  While there are other sources to buy it from NekoNyan is the main company behind it, all patches come from them.  Steam will auto download the lastest patch of course.

Does anyone else have an issue with FC replay?  I haven't checked all of them, but specifically the match between Asuka and Shindou from the common route just yields a black screen that seems to lock out all interaction other than closing the novel.  The small handful of other ones I've reread seem to work fine.  If anyone has a fix, I'd be quite grateful.

Do you have the latest 1.04 update installed?  Steam users should already have it. I just checked that FC replay and it plays fine, no issues at all.

Highly debatable, Rika was a good side-heroine and her route was awesome, sprite thankfully did not skimp out and focus exclusively on the main two but in the end, it never did poke at main story and Masaya's past was largely ignored even though she knew about his FC days.

Also Misaki's route kinda blows it out of the water imo :sacchan:

Both Mashiro and Rika are main heroines not side heroines, calling them side heroines is wrong.

No, I wasn't talking about it, it isn't Chuablesoft's title even (and I haven't read it yet). I meant "If you love me then say so" - which was developed after "Farther than the blue sky", but was localized first.

It actually has part of story happening on Amanoshima Island, with members of Byakko club playing episodic roles.

Interesting, I have SukiSuki as well but haven't finished it, only done one route (Ayame, rather enjoyed it too), makes me want to get back to it since I haven't made any progress on it in a while. Interesting part about Byakko characters, just read that some of them make an appearance.

No, it wasn't their last, but still they went out of business some time ago. Also, while indeed it was IMO better than, say, SukiSuki, still Aokana is waaaay better than any of those (not just considering h-content, but overally). The way i see it, while VN as a whole is good, h-scenes in Byakko are "just" good/not bad - they are your typical, run-of-the-mill-eroge scenes, while in Aokana they are great - of course only for those who like vanilla ;)

SukiSuki (Sankaku Ren'ai: Love Triangle Trouble! right?) is just as good (currently reading this one now, H-Scenes are fantastic), also it's called Farther Than the Blue Sky, Byakko is just the name of the rocket club they're in (though it is used as an Aliases on VNDB) and I disagree with this part: "h-scenes in Byakko are "just" good/not bad - they are your typical, run-of-the-mill-eroge scenes", I would almost say they're better in terms of quality than those in Aokana (visual novels with uncensored H-Scenes are always better than visual novels with censored H-Scenes imho), all 4 routes are great and the final chapter has it end with a really fantastic ending.

Don't get me wrong I loved Aokana (the H-Scenes being censored I didn't like) but I also really enjoyed the other mentioned visual novels just as much and don't think any less of their H-Scenes, I just give more credit to visual novels that stay away from censorship (not like we can do anything about it, in Aokana's case nothing was drawn underneath the mosaic and the Japanese version came out in 2014).

I only like vanilla in H-Scenes myself.

  14. They cover it more with Masya and Asuka's past in the anime adaptation which is a fantastic adaptation, I'm planning on doing a rewatch of the anime soon after completing the visual novel.

I went in this order: Mashiro > Rika > Misaki > Asuka (I already said this before).

So was Farther Than the Blue Sky Chuablesoft's last title or something?  The H-scenes are great in it, the visual novel is really good.

Looking forward to this one after I finnish the ones I've got now.

But I do have a doubt as well. Considering I'm playing Koichoco, I wonder if this one has a forced rute too? Cause I really hope it's not the case. The flying thing seems kinda crazy tho, but will have to play it.

No it has no forced route order (you can go in any order you want), it would say so on vndb which it doesn't, it may be a Sprite title but that doesn't mean it will be the same which it isne't.

Everything about it is very different then Koichoco, artwork, characters etc. I've already given it a 10 on vndb, on my 3rd route already, I went Mashrio > Rika > Misaki (on this route now) > Asuka.

In case of Aokana, Steam version has added value, because it contains Japanese version as well. (AFAIK other editions are English only) And there's free +18 patch on Nekonyan's site, if one wants h-scenes.

All versions are the same no matter where you buy it from, unless you have solid proof that I am wrong that is.  It seems a lot of you don't realize this visual novel came out in Japan in 2014.

You're just supporting censorship by buying any visual novels from Steam.

  17. 3 hours ago, adamstan said:

Yes, it happens when you refuse all four girls at route-branching choice. It doesn't have much story or any CGs, but in Steam version it gives an achievement ;) There's no drama involved, the game just ends after short dialogue with Shion, because player haven't selected a route.

Yeah sounds completely pointless to get it on purpose and just sounds like it's something most visual novels have if you don't get on a route, even more pointless if you didn't buy it from Steam which for me I no longer support visual novels on Steam after the censorship bullshit they're pulling, I'll buy them elsewhere.

Yesterday I reached bad end (to get it out of the way), now onto the routes :D

Is that just by not getting into any routes?  Does it have any CGs or story tied to it at all?  VNDB doesn't really mention any bad ends though it doesn't list it as having only good ends, imo I see no point in getting a bad end if it doesn't lead to anything like CGs, being required to get other endings etc (the last one obviously doesn't apply to this visual novel).

I find it very weird that a visual novel like this even has any bad ends.
