  2. Music knows no borders. Not knowing what the song is about means nothing, the raw emotions you get from them are much more important.
  3. Haven't read everything but I'll partialy agree with Rooke's and Okami's first posts. Keep the honorifics but add translation notes, thousands of them if needed. However, games without voice acting don't really need them unless they're relevant somehow. OELVNs with honorifics are usually made by bad/unexperienced writers, a -san or a -senpai here and there are likely the last thing you'll cringe about when reading such work. Seriously, translation notes are your friends, you can keep part of the moon runes while also presenting newcomers with what they'll face should they choose to look for more stuff in japanese. I like having the honorifics but unless they're needed somehow or the game has voice acting, I'd probably take them out. As an example of a game where the honorifics are kinda needed, let's take F/SN. If you already read it, chances are the word "Senpai" will remind you of Sakura and Shirou, mostly for the repetition I'll admit, but if you consider the cultural aspect of such thing (her calling him "Senpai" all the time), then maybe it's good that they didn't changed it to just "Shirou". In this case, we can feel that Sakura is a polite girl, it also tells us that Shirou is someone who's "more experienced" than her at something or simply that he's an year or more above her at school. Talking about that, the school setting is so frequent that leaving the honorifics is simply more practical. >.>
  4. I honestly don't even anymore.
  5. Fuck Fallout 4. MY LIFE FOR AIUR!
  6. Should I make it happen?

  8. If we're talking about the future, I'm placing all my chips on the OELVNs. The market will grow and more (good) writers will appear with time, naturally bringing us more (good) content. I know this is a bit out of topic but I believe this is what the current market will lead to. Japan will keep producing titles we'll be eager to read and companies like JAST will keep bringing them to us, but I don't see this market holding on forever. I do strongly agree with the second point, we're running out of popular (and manageable) material. Quite a few of the most famous VNs got officially funded and are being localized right now, what will they bring next? Of course there are amazing titles that many of us really want to read, and I feel like this adds another point to this discussion: aside from mangagamer's nukiges, we're not really getting many new titles. By this, I mean titles that do not have english translations. I might be wrong here but I feel like there's some truth in it, so let's take some famous titles that are getting/got localized recently. Muv-Luv games had fan-TLs already (not sure if everything since there's tons of content);Clannad as well despite the TL being said sub-par (haven't read it, can't say for sure);G-Senjou nou Maou - same.I'm only mentioning the ones that I know about, I haven't been around for that long so I don't know if games like Steins;Gate and Saya no Uta already had fan-TLs before JAST picked them up. Once we run out of popular content, what will they localize? Will it sell well enough? If companies choose to use kickstarter for them, will they even succeed? Honestly, I don't think so. ): @Bold lines - Wut?
  9. Oh my good lord what have I done? Welcome back.
  10. Friend of mine called on skype and: "Dude I'm playing a game here and I'm dating a girl with no legs who's a runner and we're having sex right now, though it's just making choices and reading". Me: "I'm on it". And that's how I got to read Katawa Shoujo and ended up here, sigh good times.
  11. Confession: I was skeptical about changing my avatar at first, Oga and Baby Beel are my boys you know. But hey, I'm quite liking this new one. Anshin'in might not be as high on my list of favorites as the boys, but the picture itself is just <3.
  12. Indeed he is, what a guy. My boy Flutterz has been carrying me on F/GO since I started playing it. Much <3.
  13. I play on two accounts and this is what I got on them. Sadly, the second account is taking all my luck, wish I could balance them a bit more. ): Account 1: http://imgur.com/a/8yqG8 Account 2: http://imgur.com/a/DzGfz Account 1 is rolling with Kiyohime and Elizabeth (Halloween), kinda sad not to get a 4/5 star servant here. Account 2 already had Heracles, Siegfried and Halloween Elizabeth, now I also have Alter there. Welp, back to grinding quartz. He's Hector from Troy.
  14. Honestly, Ragnarok Online is the only game where I ever really liked grinding. It was fun and allowed me to try my best looking for the most efficient method/area/etc. There's this article called: "Why was Ragnarok Online so Fun?", written by Ramona Smith. I think she did an amazing job explaining how they managed to make grinding an enjoyable feature rather than something bothersome. Just jump to page 8 (Gameplay) and read it from there if you just want to know about the grinding part, though I'd recommend reading it all if you're a fan of RO. 16. I scrolled down the whole thread kinda quickly so I might have missed it, but in case no one answered about VC: yes, you can finish the game without grinding for levels. I believe the game is much more about positioning and strategy, but grinding will naturally make things easier. I particularly am a fan of grinding if done right, and overall just enjoy trying to be as efficient as possible. How can I chain my spells or combo my attacks to make this mob/group of mobs go down faster? Which enemies should I focus down first in order to take the least amount of damage, thus allowing me to go for the next group without having to stop and heal myself? I basically just love being efficient. =D
  17. Medaka Box! Comedy + Battles + Romance. And yeah, Beelzebub has always been more about the comedy, the fights were just a bonus. The manga is pretty good too.

    Zelda Classic

Spamming might not be your objective but you're spamming the recent topics box. Please avoid making so many threads all at once, you're taking 6 out of 8 spots on the list. This could be posted on the Zelda Maker regardless of being a different program since they fulfill the same purpose.
  19. Thanks everyone who volunteered, I should have closed this way earlier but got caught up with some issues regarding some personal projects, sorry about that. I'll eventually PM everyone back, don't worry. You can still read the recruitment OP in the spoiler below if you feel like doing so for whatever reason.
  20. I can look at your designs and give you feedback, maybe even translate it to my native language in case the kickstarter fails. Unfortunately, that's pretty much all I can do. ):
  21. The weird kid that uses a weird font. A weirdo that makes some good threads every now and then. A nice weirdo overall. Confession: Changed my avatar after using the same one for a good while now. It feels weird.
  22. I don't really think that's a secret to most people It's obvious but people miss it because they are distracted with other bullshit like trying to look good, being good with sex, learning too many things to call yourself "experienced", stuff like that. The answer to a successful relationship is already within you. Not going to pursue this discussion but just felt like leaving this: balance is what matters. A hot dude with lots of benjamins might get more one-night-stands than the average Joe, but that doesn't mean he won't be a good partner in a relationship. On the same note, a guy who is polite and attentive can also not be the best boyfriend. Things change based on the individuals and what they become as a couple. Of course, caring is logically core in a relationship, but don't feel like you have to demonstrate it frequently. This is probably not the best example but my ex would always say stuff like: "go fuck yourself" or "fuck off" when I tried being polite, simply because she knew I'm not the kind of guy who would open the door for her, even if I deeply cared about her well-being yadda yadda yadda. You don't have to be an alpha male to get a girlfriend, but it helps of course. Still, just be yourself, starting a relationship with a fake personality won't do you any good, just keep in mind that you'll naturally have to change/adapt along the way. Still, clubbing is still my best recommendation if you just wanna have sex, good drinks helps as well. Nothing like some good old vodka to get people a bit out of themselves. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
  23. Go clubbing! It's pretty easy to score something even if your looks are not model-tier. Maybe try a dating website? Well, you have one hour, you should be able to go for a few more rounds if you don't last long. Not all whores are just about getting your money and letting you do whatever, some of them are actually pretty cool. Maybe it's different where you live, but the ones I know are kinda used to virgins and they actually help them out by giving tips like what's a big no-no and what's good to do.
  24. Give the hookers some love, they're great too you meanies. ): Well, I get the whole emotional connection thing but... I don't know, sex can be enjoyable as hell even if it's a one-night-stand with someone you never met before. Yes, there's the sentimental value when it's between lovers, I get it, but sometimes doing it with a stranger can end up being so much better simply because you guys are a better match. As for the thing about parents telling their kids to get a prostitute for their first time... Well, I probably would do it too. I think it's a good thing, maybe it won't be the best memory you'll have but hey, most first-times between young lovers end up as a distant memory of a time when you had sex with the person you loved and broke up afterwards.
  25. Going the bishounen way, probably Gardis - The Second Reproduction. Though I'd prefer someone more GAR like Kuki (Ayakashibito) or Kirei (F/SN).
