Muv Luv Alternative - a lot of good unforgettable scenes. Still pondering about that scene near the end talking about life. What constitutes life exactly? It was never answered and I don't think the creators of Muv Luv have much a clue. Is it sentience or the compounds which are our building blocks? An answer that depends on whether you ask a holy man, a scientist, a philosopher, or an alien species.

I'm not too obsessed with it though. I still prefer more my Kuudere females with tomboyish characteristics, but are still blatantly female. When they look too, too convincingly like a male, they might as well be one. Liar

Ya, a single UR card pretty turns all my R cards into N looking ones. If it's as hard to get as every one says, I probably won't be a seeing another UR for awhile. I honestly didn't even take a look at all the other R cards I got yet.

Technically a trap is used with lure to bait prey into capturing them. A reverse trap would be an odd way of describing them. Since their appearances are more like deterrents against predators.

To appeal to Western aesthetics, you'd have to age the characters by at least 10 years in appearances and take it out of a school setting. We're probably used to the high school plot device by now, but that's the weakness that Japanese story tellers can't hurdle over if they want to appeal to a massive Western audience. Anime and manga I understand what audience is being targeted, but I assume people who play VN are mature enough to handle a wider variety of landscapes. I know they won't be able to handle their moege any older though in all seriousness. They'd probably lose a lot of their original fanbase if they moved in this direction. Western taste differs a lot from Eastern. Think Batman and the Walking Dead. I assume there are lot of people here who are from the West but have Eastern tastebuds in mind anyway.
