Za hype iz real. I personally really enjoyed the movie quite a lot, and for those who seem to complain endlessly about it's ending: What about the entire movie as a whole? Are you basically saying that a cliffhanger ending can ruin an entire movie regardless of how good the other 2 hours were? The ending did leave me rather annoyed too, but the entire journey was totally worth it. The animation, music, and character interactions throughout the whole movie are what made it a great experience for me, and I can't wait to see more of that in whatever there is to come

Just a while ago I got linked this, and needless to say I'm more than a little annoyed over this whole thing. TL;DR: They're going to delay the release date of Noragami's OST/blueray disks because apparently they have Islamic prayers in some of their soundtracks, which has offended a few Muslims. I've been following Noragami's second season since it's very first day, and thus far I consider to be the best airing anime at the moment. You may be wondering to yourself "Oh, but you're a Muslim right? Surely you were extremely butt hurt by there being an Islamic prayer in one of the songs!" No, I actually didn't notice it was there. I had to go hunting for that track (push buttons is its name btw) just to make sure the news was legit. "So uh, are you butt hurt now?" Of course not baka, what do you think I am? A guy looking for excuses to get offended...? Anyways, for those looking for more detail on why this is offensive: This very same issue, the "Islamic call to prayer being used in music", happened to Ocarina of time. Gaijin Goomba has a video that explains the issue in a pretty good way. In conclusion, I guess I just want to say this was pretty lame. Although this personally doesn't insult me, I can understand how it would insult some other Muslims. Do note that regardless of if we find something offensive or not, we have no right to force people who don't even follow the religion to respect any of it's teachings. What the Japanese did was extremely considerate and polite of them, and I can't help but respect them for it. But it's easy to misunderstand this whole situation as people forcing their rules and beliefs down other people's throats, and that simply isn't the case. So let's hope this doesn't affect the production of this anime, otherwise I'll be very sad... In other news, I just downloaded the song and now can't stop listening to it

Damn, this thread seems to have more posts than the Majikoi thread at this point... Anywho, confession: I'm doing an extremely bad job at my university atm, got a D in my last calculus major. There's now a very good chance that I might lose the scholarship I got when I entered, and needless to say that's going to suck pretty badly... The only way for me to make up is to get an amazingly high score in the final exam, and considering how badly I did in the major... I'm not too optimistic :c On a happier note, I got 3rd place in the University's debate contest, so yay \/

This. I live in Saudi Arabia and for over a year now, the big mosques here have to be guarded constantly by security. You have to be searched before you can even go in, just like an airport. It's pretty sad, people calling themselves an "Islamic state" then blowing up mosques and killing innocent people, Muslims more so than non Muslims...

Welp... Most people here already know my personal background, a Muslim Arab/kinda British/it's complicated dude, and while it's rather sad when you see even a few racist/hateful posts on this particularly respectful forum, that sadness is out-shined by my happiness with the large number of understanding and well educated responses. My respect to ya'll, especially you Rooke I would start defending Muslims/Islam, but it's unnecessary at this point, since most of you seem to be able to differentiate between a world religion with almost 2 billion followers and an extremest organization I pray for those affected by this incident and their families, regardless of their ethnicity or faith. And I sure hope this incident doesn't escalate to yet more wars in the already war-filled region of mine...
