Well, whatever. It sounds like to me that just because you don't like H content, you think that no one else should like it or have access to it either. Oh, and it does not make everyone a pervert just because they like H content. I found that offensive when you replied to that other poster.

But we are talking about translating a visual novel for other people to read who already know there is H content and expect it, not about reading it and just putting up with the H content because you don't like it. Just because you don't like or think H scenes are wrong gives you the right to force your censorship ideals on others.

If you are a translator and want to pick up a title for your translating project, why would you pick up one that has H content if you don't can't stand it? Why not just stick to translating all ages visual novels instead. By leaving the H content untranslated, I feel you are not doing the translation justice for English speaking fans. If you get someone else on board to do it for you however, then that is fine.

Well, my questions were answered on the other thread, and I agree with both Steve and Nosebleed on both threads.

Welcome, I was also the same way. So far the people seem very friendly and helpful here. I hope we can all get along.

@Steve, I am not going to give any names, but I have seen a couple translators/project teams lately consider or actually say they were not touching H scenes. Just so you know, I appreciate translators for the work they do. I would just prefer to be able to enjoy the novel to the fullest, as a Japanese reader would.

My issue is, if this is going to be a rising trend in translation then I don't know if I will continue to have interest in visual novels. People and times change tho, so I am hoping it is just the opposite.

@Steve Yes, there are things that can be said besides just moaning and sexual content. Things can be said that are actually important to the story line.

@Mephisto that is your opinion. A lot of people enjoy reading the h scenes. Honestly, I would rather not have that person translate it and wait for someone else to come along who will translate the h scenes. Also, there are all ages visual novels available to translate if someone does not like doing h scenes.

Is it just me or are more and more translators refusing to translate H scenes? I do realize they don't have to translate anything, but if you are going to do a translation, do all or nothing. At least that is the way I see it. I do not know about other people, but I prefer having my H scenes translated in the visual novels I read. I would rather wait for a translation project longer than to not have the entire thing translated.

I see nothing wrong with people recommending visual novels to the OP. I don't know why this thread had to turn into an argument. Anyways, I recommend Da Capo 1 and Da Capo 2 seeing as how you read a couple other fantasy visual novels.

Da Capo was very good, especially Da Capo II. Don't let the crappy anime adaptions turn you off to these great games. Both have happy endings. Another great romance Novel is Hoshizora No Memoria.
