  1. Sign me up, this looks like a lot of fun.
  2. Firstly I apologise if this is in the wrong area or if this is already being discussed elsewhere. I noticed that the Recent Topics list was brought back down to five entries recently which I found a little puzzling since ten seemed to be a more substantial number (and everybody seemed to be wanting it from what I saw). I was just wondering if anybody could tell me why it was brought down.

    Starter VN Reviews

I'd be happy to do a Katawa Shoujo review and (if I have time) a review for "If my Heart had Wings". It'd be good practice for when I start doing reviews regularly.
  4. Alright, I'll concede defeat, these are all valid points
  5. And while I'm at it..... Is anyone else sick of the "Steampunk London" setting? It makes sense in this VN as the characters are based of English people and characters, but why does everybody do Steam-punk England? Why not a Steam-punk Ancient Greece? or Steam-punk Italy?
  6. I agree that the writing isn't all bad and I can understand why some people would enjoy the repetition, I wouldn't mind it normally but in this instance it just feels over-done. and I think the lack of discussion is simply because people haven't finished it yet or aren't far enough to discuss it properly.
  7. Ok, so I'm a bit past the second mini-game and here are my thoughts so far.
  8. Welcome to the community, feel free to ask any questions you may have. As for recommendation, I recently finished Sharin no Kuni and quite enjoyed it's story (if you can look past it's pacing issues) and it's world, you may also enjoy it.
  9. Prior to playing Katawa Shoujo I thought I was content with my life, particularly my love life. I've always been introverted and felt that I didn't need a girlfriend because I preferred solitude. However, after I played Katawa, I realised for the first time in my life how lonely I really was. I found that there was a massive hole in my life and given my lack of social skills I feared that I would never be able to fill it. This also happened during my summer holidays (three and a half months long) so I had no immediate way of addressing this revelation and I fell into depression. Eventually I was able to accept my situation and myself, although I am still girlfriendless I understand my feelings on the matter, and this is all thanks to that charming VN. And to Ezyo22, well done champ, You've clearly been through a lot but are still standing strong. That, is true strength.

  16. It seems like each DLC will only have a small amount of content each ( a couple of skins perhaps) so i doubt there will be anything that would be essential to the game. though I will agree that 16 is pretty high, still, it could be worse; they could release five separate collectors editions like a certain game (glares at Watch_Dogs).
  17. Same here (I tell a lie, I played the first few minutes of the first Witcher).
  18. Just did a little research and found that CD Projekt does something most companies don't; they learn from their mistakes. They did some initial stuff with DRM and found it didn't work so they scrapped it and got a positive result, unlike a certain someone (I'm looking at you Ubisoft, and don't think you can escape EA!)
  19. I was browsing through Facebook when I stumbled upon this little spirit-raiser. http://au.ign.com/articles/2015/01/26/the-witcher-3-dev-on-making-a-stand-against-paid-dlc After all the Free-to-Play elements in full priced games, over-hyped disappointments (*cough Destiny *cough *cough) and open contempt for the consumers, it's nice to know there is at least one developer in the games industry that actually cares about their customers after a game is released. What are your thoughts on this (be they about the developer, the game or just the industry itself)?
  20. A boy wakes up in a field on the outskirts of a town, the last week of his memories is missing and a mysterious tattoo is on his chest. After arriving in the town he notices the locals keeping her distance with the exception of a charming yet sinister looking man with a pirate moustache. the man claims to be Death and unless our hero can solve the riddle of his tattoo he will become the new Death. The protagonist seeks the help of his best friend who directs him to a girl who claims to be missing a week of her memory and a mysterious tattoo. Can these two strangers recover their memories and learn the secrets of their destiny? or are they doomed to harvest souls for eternity?
  21. Kaguya has something special planned for us in February, we won't be voting but we are still doing something.

  24. Welcome to the community, feel free to ask any questions you may have. As for recommendations, Grisaia no Kajitsu is a popular one, though I'd also suggest Katawa Shoujo and If my Heart had Wings.
