Post pics you like (Powered by Jun Inoueâ„¢)

One of my pet peeves. -
I didn't know that, might give it a go. Unlike a lot of VN adaptions the YnS anime actually had my preferred ending, which dampened my desire to try the VN after the anime (like I did with say, Kanon for Nayuki). But I could do with experiencing the Sora story again in a different format. Don't really care about the others. It seems I have to read another route first, but Kazuha wasn't too bad so that should be fine.

There are a bunch on iOS if you have one. It's super convenient too, because you can read them on the go.

Quiz: What Anime Girl Stereotype are you?
hydro replied to Stray Cat's topic in The Coliseum of Chatter
Yamato Nadeshiko - I've been the perfect waifu for some time now, so this isn't surprising. I do exhibit minor Kuudere/Ane/Kamidere traits from time to time, so no complaints here. However I take issue with the one point for tsundere. I knew that was going to happen. I call people idiots because they're idiots, not because they slipped on a banana peel and fell face first into my crotch. I'm not tsundere, and I resent the implication. baka -
What does the person's avatar tell you about them?

Whore Pretty chill guy with with good taste, Amane is love. <3 -
I guess they wanna avoid people creating multiple accounts. Seems unnecessary, given that would be a huge waste of effort for an online anime vote of little consequence, but it does happen a lot with these kind of things. Still, as someone else without an account it makes me a sad panda. Then again, Osaka lost in the first round essentially rendering the entire competition a farce.

I'm not sure I'd by a 3DS for Smash, but as someone who already has the console it's a no-brainer. Same if I had a Wii U. And the reason more people have 3DS' than Wii U's is the insane amount of good games on the system. For what seemed like a fairly gimmicky console at first, it has an amazing line up. I don't even use the 3D, I just like the console for all its good games. I'd say it has at least 5 separate games that by themselves would be considered "console sellers" to different people, probably more.

I used to read all routes in a VN, but these days I ignore the ones I don't have an interest in. I just consider it complete when I'm done playing for good. If I plan to get back to it eventually, no matter how long that may be, then I just consider it "on-hold". I have a couple that have been like that for a long time now. The fact I've "dropped" a few VNs confuses things a bit, but I guess I just make the personal distinction by how much I've read and why I stopped.

I'll go with Fate/Zero and the original Dragonball. They're different in just about every conceivable way, but I love them both.

Eh, to an extent. I usually read routes in order of preference, occasionally ignoring some I don't think I'll enjoy. How much I like a girl's personality is the main factor in how much I enjoy a route, but situational factors are also part of it. If either of those things change my priority may change with it. I never planned to read Yumiko's route at the start, but decided to eventually. It overtook MIchiru's route in priority despite me liking Michiru as a character better.

I may buy a Wii U eventually, but for now I'm only worried about the 3DS one too. Pre-ordered it a while ago along with Alpha Sapphire. I'm looking forward to trying out Greninja. Also happy my current favs Pikachu and Toon Link are returning.

Been reading Shinikiss. I like the talking, BL loving cat that explains the types of deres to you. I usually dislike asshole heroines and ignore their routes completely, but I was compelled to read Shizuku's route despite every second thing she says being an insult. I guess I'm partial to sisters/step-sisters. Also Honoka's route is pretty much School Days:

Been playing Tales of Xillia 2 for a while now. This game in really fun. Easily prefer it to Xillia 1, and it would come pretty close to my fav Tales game ever. It's amazing a broken piece of shit like Fifa 14 can have a metascore of 86, while Xillia 2 is rated 72. The user scores illustrate the situation better, 8.7 for Xillia 2 and 4.1 for Fifa 14.

The only shinies I ever caught were in Pokemon X using the fishing chains. I never had the patience or the motivation to try the Pokeradar method, and I was never fortunate enough to run into one naturally throughout my 6 generations of playing.

I just finished reading this route recently. At the start I wasn't planning to give it a go at all, as I found Sakaki annoying. But she grew on me enough over time for me to try her route. She's probably still my least favorite heroine, but I still like her which is a testament to the quality of the cast. The route I don't plan to read now has shifted to Michiru. All things considered it doesn't seem like something I'd enjoy. Besides, I thoroughly enjoyed Michiru's stupidity in the common route, no need to mess with a winning formula by getting serious. I'm perfectly content to leave that as my lasting impression of the character. Anyways, I enjoyed Sakaki's route around the same as Sachi's/Makina's. Amane's was my fav though.

Intelligent-Sarcastic VS Indecisive-Idiot VS Pervert-Idiot Protagonist
hydro replied to j2.dless's topic in Visual Novel Talk
He's alright. I like Yuuji from Grisaia much better though. -
Seo the God-tier romantic. <3 This anime has a lot of heartwarming romance actually, melts even my cynical heart.

Nozaki-kun. This anime is soooooo good. I was expecting "just another fun anime", but it really caught me off guard with how entertaining it is. The character dynamics are fantastic and relatively unique. Funny as hell too.

Intelligent-Sarcastic VS Indecisive-Idiot VS Pervert-Idiot Protagonist
hydro replied to j2.dless's topic in Visual Novel Talk
Intelligent sarcastic type definitely. Perverts are annoying and the idiots tend to get pushed around too much. I don't care the MC is physically weak, frail, "unmanly" or whatever else so long as he has a silver tongue. That's by far the most important thing for me, and the intelligent/sarcastic type is gonna come the closest to ensuring that. In fact it's probably better if the guy is physically weak, gives the character balance and makes him relatively unique for a man. Incidentally I'm not big on the whole "manly man swoops in to save the day" stuff. I don't "self insert" so to speak, I treat VNs the same as I do anime or any other medium, that is a viewer of an interesting story or set of character interactions. So a blank slate MC with no name meant for that purpose bothers me. Similarly the girls talking to "you" rather than the protagonist of the story also bothers me. -

I adore the Yu-Gi-Oh and DBZ ones. The Yu-Gi-Oh one is miles better than the anime itself, the DBZ one might actually be too despite how much I like the original.
