I believe that's the first time I've seen an MC breaks down from something so trivial, but at the same time realistic given his age and what he's gone through. Re Zero is truly a sadistic anime in the psychological level.....
-
Actually they are. Why? Well that's because most anime are adaptations nowadays so it's easier for a golden gem to pop out. Original anime are rare and when they do show up they're putrid shit so the golden gem for original tends to take a way while longer. Conclusion: More anime in original could be good but no anime studio would even dare to take the risk.
-
*sigh* Well it's how the anime industry work nowadays. Original anime tend to suck, a HECK TON of sucks. Even if those anime have crazy star directors and writers (looking at you Aldnoah, Charlotte, Guilty Crown). Adaptations are usually better considering it's usually based on something already popular and approved to they eye of the public. I mean I actually kind of saw it coming for Kabaneri. Even though the first few episodes were good, I know better to not raise any expectations considering that it is an original anime.

Out of the two top shounen of this season, I must say Kabaneri wins early but Boku no Hero wins in the end. 9/10 cannot wait for the second season~

Kiznaiver gets an 8/10 with me. Not so great in ending and first few episodes but the middle episodes still shines amazingly. Stellar character development moments with the not so stellar story overall. Animation wise it's great as it is consistent throughout in quality, soundtrack has its amazing moments too. One more week to Summer season!

^You may haven't read too many sci-fi novels, but it seems you've re-read Mein Kampf too much Besides, if the people of UK would truly knows what's best for them, then the polls wouldn't even be a close match of 48% vs 52%. It should've been a truly one sided winning. Oh well, at least the drop in pounds make it much cheaper for me to travel there for vacation...

You kind of just said it. Market hates uncertainty and uncertainty has always been bad for the market. I mean you can't ignore the fact that Pounds at its lowest since 31 years, Asian markets closing at lows with Japan's Nikkei at its worst since 5 years (5 years ago being the Fukushima disaster), an up to 450+ million dollars worth of UK shares movement in the first 30 minutes of its opening, FTSE 100 tumbling down to its worst since the Lehman Brothers collapse.... I haven't even touched on how countless companies decided to cancel their UK projects due to the outcome of the referendum... On top of that we got David's resignation as the bloody cherry. I mean if the market isn't at a bad situation then why would Mark Carney himself has to assure the market is safe? Even having to announce that the Bank of England is ready to inject £250 billion in case for the worst to come? Thank God that he said that though as any kind of re-assurance steadied the market even if its just by a little bit. Sure you could say there are positives, with all of these reds stuff in UK are bound to be cheaper and the economy should bounce back. Foreign investors should invest back when they saw those expensive properties being way cheaper than they know before. It could even be argued that the foreign investors panic of selling all their GBP and EUR and buying the more stable USD and JPY is just for short term to see how the economy would go in a few months.... I suppose it's not going to be like the 1930s... but arguably it could be even worse than the 2008s....

Yeah well, Greece was in debt and no way EU would let them ran away with all of those money... But UK? Well it is already officially written as the first country to leave the EU, Germany is already holding an emergency meeting, world's economy in tumbles, David resigns and Scotland is massively hinting that it would create the second independence referendum. So hide yo moneis kids cuz the depression will hit. Hard.
-
Um... Britain ALREADY exited dear... The referendum was today and well 52% voted to leave. Obviously stocks went mad and red becomes their favorite color followed by pounds deciding that skydive is his favorite sports... and finally finished with David Cameron rage quitting his job and saying "it's no longer my shit to deal with, it's ya'll brexiteers." So yes, we got that and either Hillary or Trump for US president. I say this has been a very eventful year!

At the dizzy, crazy, moon-lit, midsummer party the night before hosted by those two charming gentlemen from Vote Leave everything seemed so feasible, so plausible, so possible. How much fun it was to ridicule those boring pen-pushers in Brussels. The streamers were flowing, the mood was light and optimistic . At midnight, when the moon was bright and the English champagne flowed freely, when the brass band played Rule Britannia with such aplomb how giddy everyone felt at the idea of Britain’s invincibility, greatness and unique position in the world. Everyone hugged each other wearing funny party hats and shouted – “We’ll be fine. After all – they need us more than we need them! Ha, ha, ha! We’re the fifth largest economy in the world! Hurrah for the British Grenadiers’. Nigel Farage entered the room with a pint in one hand a fag in the other grinning like a Cheshire Cat “Ladies and Gentleman – so what if the pound falls!” he roared. Everyone thought this was hilarious! A great joke! Farage at his humorous best – never had he made them feel so happy and complete as when he announced “They need us more then we need them!” The Cheshire Cat continued between pointed, yellow teeth, “We will finally be free!” The crowd went wild. Next entered Boris Johnson, the ass with long ears and brown teeth, announcing “Tomorrow, your savings will be devalued along with the pound but you have nothing to fear I will be well on my way to becoming your new Prime Minister!” The crowd roared their approval chanting “We are the fifth largest economy in the world! They need us more then we need them!” and “Three cheers for the Brexiteers!” ..... On the morning of 24th June 2016 the British nation woke up to that dreadful “morning-after” feeling with a knot in the pit of their stomach, a thick tongue and a thumping headache threatening to spoil not just their day but their decade. The night before, 23 June 2016, will seem like a hazy fog. In the harsh reality of the morning comes the gut wrenching realisation that the British just signed away their house, their savings and their pensions to a likeable, persuasive rogue, with no recourse to redress since the rogue is now in charge of the asylum. ..... Politics are fun to watch. Business news too, especially when all you can see are diagrams and tables of red numbers. I just hope you guys in Britain and Europe saves enough money and has a stable income job to continue buying weeb merchandises. Japan still need those moneis even if Japan's economy somewhat profit from this!

Kabaneri of the Musical Fortress. Yeah Sawano, keep raping my ear with them soundtracks~ Oh of course you have to put Aimer too~~ Onwards to the final episode next week~
-
THE HYPE IS SO REAL. I knew it. No way they're gonna let loose that plot too far away. OMG I seriously can't wait for more Re Zero.
-
Sony killed it for this year's E3..... Those amount of games.... wow.... pretty much guarantee on making my wallet cry.
-
Ah, underwhelming second half for the episode, but I understand it's nothing more than concluding everything and hinting tons of other info. Towards the next arc! Meanwhile Bones back at it again with the epic shonen fights for Boku no Hero.
-
Damn Trigger, back at it again with the dark twists! As usual, for whatever reason, the first half of this episode is tad boring and simply unneeded set ups but the second half especially the last 5 minutes really make it up. Definitely make my heart ache, talk about a really depressing turn out...

@Jun Inoue The thing is, all of these character developments, introduction, calculated pace can be done with a different story. IMO you could say that this shaman problem is a mere plot device for those aspects. Obviously the only thing that can prove my opinion wrong if the next episode reveals whether or not the shaman is part of the arc 3 or nothing more than a side villain. Honestly I wish it proves me wrong just so I can praise the anime better, but at this point I can't. Sure the latest episode delivers epic action with more character development particularly for Ram but again, they're starting to drag this arc in terms of story. Let's put it this way, in my opinion Re Zero is a great anime. The thing is I don't want it to be a great anime, I want it to be a MASTERPIECE. I want White Fox to squeeze the potential that the source material has until it's last drop. I want this thing to be so amazing it'll be in the top 10 of MAL of all time. Which is why I'm nitpicking quite a lot on the last 3 episodes. You could blame me rising the expectations to a ridiculous level or blame episode 7 for making me rise it that high. @Ceris First 3 episodes (counting the double length first episode) covers the first volume, episode 4-7 covers the second volume, 8-11 (by my prediction) should be the third volume. Hence episode 12-25 would roughly cover 3-4 more books but LN and WN readers say that the ending would either have to be cliffhanger or original as not even the volume 9 saw the conclusion of the arc. Trying to rush the next arc to completion would destroy the anime's pacing. So the only thing to appease the fans would be cliffhanger. Of course considering right now we're only in episode 11, thus it won't be unreasonable to see the pre-orders and sales of the anime's DVD going up substantially and warranting a "Re Zero 2nd season" announcement at the final episode just to build the hype. I mean Log Horizon did it with it's first season and that thing is 2 cours too! @Kenshin_sama White Fox does sequels more than other studios *coughmadhousecough* so that gives us some hope for a Re Zero sequel. AGK pre-orders are way below expectations thus the author gave them the condensed script for the anime to finish up without resorting to cliffhangers. You also have to factor in how popular is Re Zero overseas compared to AGK which is popular due to hate. Merchandise sales plays a big role too for an anime's future. It is also possible that White Fox doesn't continue it but have another studio leading the production for a sequel instead. Silver Link and J.C. Staff are the prime choices as both studio is listed being outsourced by White Fox and are well known for LN/WN adaptations.

Well I wouldn't like for them to throw out the pointless filler too but this arc isn't necessarily a very interesting arc either if you look at it from the bigger picture. If it weren't for the symbolism, character development, pacing and the little hints thrown around for the world building, this arc would've fall flat rather quick. The story theme for this arc is honestly boring, hence why I would really love them to conclude it in the next episode and starts a new arc, preferably something big.

Ugh, I don't get Kiznaiver. First 5 episodes? Mediocre, episode 6 and 7? Absolutely AMAZING in every department, and now episode 8 goes back being all over the place again BUT then the last 5 minutes became great again! Argh! What gives?? *sigh* At least the soundtrack of the latest 2 episodes are stellar consistently.... I really hope Re:Zero put the end of this arc in the next episode because it's starting to drag. Or maybe it's just because I predicted what happen so far hmm.... At the very least the action sequences are great. ...as for every other anime I've been following, they're all going... normally. Big Order definitely takes the cake for the most trainwreck this season, more so than Mayoiga. Boku no Hero's pacing at what I expected so the last few episodes will be great, hopefully it'll end with a second season announcement. Bungou Stray Dogs is being...a normal shounen. Nothing standing out. Kabaneri is straight forward as always with the story and relies on epic action. Flying Witch and Tanaka-kun is consistently relaxing. Nothing really stands out this week. ....and then I realized Girls und Panzer der Film's OVA is Spring! Aaaand it's just a SoL OVA unlike the movie.... should've seen it coming. Such a bait title for the OVA though.... "Alice's War" hah... here I thought it'll be more tank fights.... possibly with the Centurion again... here's hoping it'll set up for a future sequel what's with all the record sales the Blu Ray is getting.

Girls und Panzer der Film. 9/10 Best cutesy anime I've ever watched in my life and it's not even about the cutesy that makes it good~~ Panzer Vor!!
-
Hm? Oh no no. They confirmed it alongside the English version of Angel Beats during the Anime Central press session
-
Usually I didn't bother discussing an anime that's just announced but.... ANIME IS SAVED. BASED KYOANI.

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2016-05-27/visualart-to-release-rewrite-visual-novel-in-english/.102372 I KEEP THROWING MONEY AT THE SCREEN BUT NOTHING'S HAPPENING *ehem* on a serious note, didn't expect this to be announced so soon.

Welp, from the looks of it I've been missing quite a series for a long time. I guess I'll get Tales of Berseria when it came out before getting to the older Tales games. Wait for a PS3 emulator~

Playing Tales of Zestiria now. Why didn't I discover this game sooner. RPG hack and slash strategy with large linear levels that uses text, anime, 3D animation and VN style for its storytelling? I say I've never been this immersed in a JRPG before......
