Biggest downside of the anime's first episode was definitely the unneeded fanservice but as a whole it's actually a pretty promising start. Some CG here or there but otherwise nicely detailed animation and pretty well paced. It looks like it'll be telling a story that divulges everyone's backstory to some extent which I think is actually the canon? Still, so far so good

They also have a Sly Cooper movie for either 2015 or 2016 if I remember right. I'll probably check out this movie but I do think the story is best saved for video games. It worked so well because of the gradual change throughout gameplay

Always wondered how you do that website panning shot like in the beginning. If you're just looking for someone to take/arrange clips to something that should be pretty easy. But you should definitely elaborate more. Not necessarily on what the video in question is but what it will be comprised of. But an basic example of one of my editing.

Sounds to me like Saya no Uta and Phenomeno are the ones I'll be going with then. I doubt I'll be scared but if I can get that dark, monster-y vibe I'll be satisfied. Thank you everyone.

I can't think of any off the top of my head but I do think it could be somewhat doable, at least in the Japanese language. Japanese alphabet characters all have set pronunciations so if they record each of the different characters theoretically they could arrange them to form any name they wish and it would come out decent. I get the feeling it's more complex than that but it seems doable from where I stand.

Like the title said. It's the season of the spooky and scary and I'm down for some seasonal reading. So far the only scary-ish VNs I've read are Higurashi, Umineko, and Kara no Shoujo. Any ideas on what I can add to the list?

Finding that balance is really difficult but getting it is paramount I think. It's best to choose your classes as wisely as you can. Naturally some people won't be able to do this every time but try to give yourself a couple classes that you can afford to be a little lax on if need be. It's pretty important to have some leeway for when work gets to be too much. Likewise resorting to your hobbies to unwind is necessary. I know for me whenever I get home and am exhausted I relax with a bit of VN reading or a few episodes of an anime. Maybe even some video games or something. Anything that takes the edge off so I don't become a stressed-out mess, but not enough that I begin to fail my classes. If you don't even have the time for that then try multi-tasking or applying one of your hobbies to your studies. For instance, I'm a film studies major and I aspire to one day be a critic so I apply what I learn in a school setting to the things I watch/read/play and not only does it reinforce what I've learned but it actually increases my enjoyment of whatever I'm doing. Course this is just the stars aligning in my favor but if you can find a way to do it then go for it. Likewise I wrote a philosophy paper heavily based in the philosophy of Fate/Stay Night. Blending the worlds of school and otaku-dom can be surprisingly effective if done right.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm still trying to find an ideal pace. I do want to speak quickly but the tricky part there is not speaking too quickly. Something I apparently still need to work on, so thank you for that. As for the second part, sorry if you disagreed but I was just trying to make a point of comparison but the only anime still really relevant and popular that I'm not too big on is SAO. Though I have yet to watch the second season so maybe it got better. This is also why the image I used to represent SAO was of season 1. It may not seem fully relevant but I think it related to the idea I was talking about leading into the actual review. And if it means anything I never explicitly said SAO was bad (Though I think it has a lot of problems) Just that popular anime doesn't have to mean good anime. If that bothered you then again, sorry. I'm a huge fan of psychological horror so my vote's for the Silent Hill series, specifically Silent Hill 2. Jump scares don't really scare me but some of the ideas in SH are pretty rough

Never been the biggest Steam user myself but it has some interesting potential. Particularly with VNs that go viral like Hatoful Boyfriend it can help spread the word but Steam needs more of a VN selection before much will come from that.

Honestly a little stressed. Lots of school assignments lining up in the same time frame and not enough time to unwind with games or a VN. But once this is all over I'll be happy as can be

Just finished reading Comyu myself. Overall I enjoyed it but I found a lot to be desired. They could've put more time into developing people like Gasai or Nanase or even Kugura. Too much time was spent on other things and not the actual conflict between Caesar and the Round Table. Least I think so.

Each of the different routes has something to offer. Saber's route has...well, Saber. Enough said. UBW has the best plot and IMO HF did some of the most interesting stuff with Shirou. It all comes down to preference really.
