Update: Based Tulip Goddess Maria delivers her blessings once again! We're slowly getting there. Slowly but surely. Meanwhile, she's trying to finish translating KnS2 before 2015. Watch out for that one too. <3 I'm sure you're used to it by now, but no progress update in 01, 5D, VI, and IX. 01 has an unknown status, 5D and VI are just being translated very very slowly, and IX is posting in another thread.

As others have said, length doesn't matter. At least, to me. It's the story and the character that counts. The art sometimes. But we have different expectations and experiences in different visual novels. That's why I can't really decide in terms of length.

Her abilities weren't rendered ineffective as far as I'm concerned. Well, maybe ineffective due to not being able to utilize it to its full extent because of the modifications made by Zouken. I'll look at it again when I reach Heaven's Feel so we can confirm it. Fate/Stay Night cannot be the sole basis anymore though, since the lore has expanded quite a lot. Or it was always this big. :> Edit: Whoops found the answer to my question. Looks like it isn't the fragments of the Holy Grail or Zouken that made her seize control of the Grail. Rather, it was Shirou's fault. Yep. All his fault. I guess her corruption made her, being another lesser Grail, steal the function of the other lesser Grail, Illya.

So war was ultimately waged in this thread too huh? I'm that type that does all routes. I just can't leave a visual novel unfinished. Maybe due to my perfectionist autism. Or maybe because I just like collecting CGs. But I do try and finish everything before I move to another one. There are some cases though, Daibanchou for example, where I am not able to finish everything before moving on. The character clears are just too absurd, you know? Also, I like doing all heroine routes basically since I want to see the story that each heroine has to say. Each story told by another person is beautiful, no? I refer to them as a person here since even though they are fictional characters living in a fictional world, their stories are nonetheless the truth for them, or their reality. To trample upon their reality is something I could never do. So no matter how bad a route was, I can't really find a reason to sincerely hate it. Though I do show my dissatisfaction with one (Wanko to Kurasou for example). A little H-scene won't hurt too, since I also have that desire inside of me. About how I treat 2D girls... I treat them as characters. They will never be physically real in our world, but they can be real in our hearts. That's why I come to love characters. Even though I won't be able to show these characters how much I love them, I would still like to cherish their memories and stories in my heart. Their stories have reached me, and I will try and remember their experiences that they've shared with me. I might have not been their physically, but I tried to be there mentally. Something like that. They're not here beside us, but they're here inside of us. <3 Of course, this includes fapping to them. Even though they're not physically real, they still affect us mentally. Mentally affecting us can still affect our body, and so that action is done. At least that's how I think it works. So yeah. I'm a VN player who finishes all the routes, be they in adult games or not, faps to almost all the heroines at least once, and enjoys their stories. I'm that guy who gets attached to a character, and becomes happy for a character when her romance comes true. I'm that guy who sympathizes with these characters for their losses and pains, and that guy you can see crying for no reason after reading a heartwrenching scene. Yeah. That guy who continues to live in this world, this 3D world, carrying the experiences he had with these 2D characters. I'll never have myself isolated in the 2D world though. I'm not that kind of guy. :/
