  1. NTR48 is terrible. The NTR has almost zero setup. Try ELF's or LiLiM's titles. For heroine corruption, the Venus Blood series is pretty good.
  2. The picture also seems very familiar to me, and I don't play many "modern Tokyo" games.

  4. The President has a lot of power when it comes to foreign policy. Trump could, and probably will, do major damage there.
  5. Yeah, and everyone thought Hitler's rhetoric about putting Jews in their place was just hyperbole too. It's a dangerous game when candidates' political messages are filled with so much "hyperbole" that you can no longer elucidate what their actual policy in office will be.
  6. Tyr isn't even American lol. This wasn't his "battle". He's just in it for the lulz. No, what Trump did was unprecedented. His rallying call leading up to elections was literally to lock up his rival. Of course opposing political parties will be the first to leap when someone on the other side shows a legal opening. It's quite different to use the electoral machine to have a "trial by election", suggesting that criminal trials should be instigated and decided by a popularity contest. Also, Clinton was already thoroughly investigated. Trump promised to reopen the case outside the jurisdiction of the Justice Department, which didn't give him the result he wanted. That's exactly how these things work in a Banana Republic.
  7. You know what else Trump promised? To "lock her up". Specifically, he promised to assign a special prosecutor to prosecute his political rival over her conduct while Secretary of State.
  8. Sanders choked when the NY Times panel interviewed him. He didn't even understand the fundamentals of his core policy aims. That's when I dropped my support for him; he was just another demagogue (though not to the same extent as Trump).
  9. I tend to consider any kind of coverage or attention a form of promotion, especially if the net effect is to increase sales (a common side-effect of negative coverage of niche games). Sometimes the best way to show contempt is pure apathy.
  10. To reiterate this, affiliate linking is not sponsorship. It's business. The companies are paying you to refer potential customers to them. It's sort of like commissions-based sales work where you're paid per sale.
  11. This is the most elaborate recommendation demand request I've ever seen. Kudos. I'd recommend Ikusa Megami Zero for fantasy, but none of the "main" heroines are archers.
  12. For those hearing about MoeNovel for the first time and interested in some background reading, I wrote an article discussing MoeNovel's censorship of If my Heart had Wings back when it was first released in 2013. Also happens to be one of the top hits on Google on the subject (which must be embarrassing for MoeNovel). Why I didn't buy If My Heart Had Wings
  13. His word choice was simply off. He meant "ridiculous" rather than "retarded". Common mistake among teens. Let's try again with proper expression. "Learning a language just to play video games is ridiculous." But that doesn't address the common complaint, which is that whenever untranslated games are brought up and people pine about playing them, they're usually told to "go learn Japanese". So to further refine that: "Expecting someone to go learn a language just to play video games is ridiculous."
  14. Active Gaming Media also did this, coincidentally. http://www.activegamingmedia.com/en/portfolio/service/if-my-heart-had-wings-1.html
  15. Nekopara had a particular issue with bestiality that wouldn't necessarily apply to all titles.
  16. Apparently the outcry over Baldr Sky legitimately endangered Sekai Project's relationship with GIGA and legitimately had Sekai Project worried that GIGA would just call the entire project off.
  17. Is this just for Nekopara 2 or all titles? Can hardcopies for their titles only be ordered online through Kickstarter now?
  18. Translations are clearly magic performed by bored weaboo eager to show off their wizardry to the masses--so long as they're treated to a bit of perfunctory appreciation. If the first weaboo refuses, there's surely five others that would jump at the opportunity to grab a moment in the spotlight, to seize that brief flicker of happiness in the grim darkness of their pathetic and isolated existences.
  19. Try this list instead, which is sorted by user rating and includes your stated preferences. https://vndb.org/v/all?q=;fil=plat-mac.tagspoil-0.tag_inc-96.lang-en.tag_exc-104~220~1450~1557~1717~942.olang-ja;rfil=minage-18;o=d;s=rating
  20. Climate change is predicted to increase global strife as people are displaced by more frequent and more intense natural disasters, as well as gradually changing weather patterns. Competition for dwindling resources will be inevitable. The next world war could change the face of our planet. For everyone's sake, we need to prolong the current peace as long as possible--or at least until I've died of natural causes. Then go nuts, for all I care.
  21. Even if he won, Trump wouldn't have the power to make himself a dictator. He's a fringe lunatic and the slightest hint of corruption would immediately get him impeached, possibly by his own party. And even if he somehow managed to overcome the checks and balances and do what he says he'll do, the world would suffer for it. Anyone cheering on Trump as "what America deserves" is cheering for a disintegration of the world order that has kept our world mostly at peace since the 1940's--and that's just foolish. Seems to me like the writer was more interested in taking a swipe at the US than providing any useful policy insight.
  22. It sounds like what OP has in mind is like a hybrid of tabletop roleplaying and choose-your-own-adventure with a focus on romantic interactions. It's an interesting idea, and I think there's a market for it. Whether you want to call it a "visual novel" or not is purely semantic. The concept is what matters, not what it's called. Ironically enough, I've actually done something similar to this, though it was more of an interactive story--a fictional world I dynamically created for a friend--than a finished product to be distributed and experienced by others. Basically tabletop roleplaying minus the gameplay mechanics.
  23. I'd recommend acquainting yourself with text hooking and machine translation.
  24. The game hasn't been released yet, but Illusion promises that it will be an adult game on its official English site.
  25. I wrote this up in some detail in my most recent blog post. Rapelay developer Illusion boldly promotes its upcoming virtual reality sex simulator VR Kanojo with a Steam Greenlight for the non-adult trial version. Illusion reaches out to English fans with Steam trial of VR Kanojo
