I remember when I got The Sigh of HS, I was volunteering at the library so instead of money they let us take out advance reading copies of books. I looked in the box, saw a bright yellow book sticking out and thought to myself, " ehh, why not?". I had no idea what Haruhi was and was plesently enjoyed by it. And that's how I became a casual anime fan.

It truly is. When the Anime club in my College did a mystery box fundraiser, we sold boxes for couples as well as for singles. On the first day, we sold out of all of our couples boxes and made over $100 in one day. One woman even bought two of our medium sized couples boxes! Yes it was a very profitable year!

First anime I ever watched was Sailor Moon. I was 4 and had no idea what was going on, but I just admired it for the colors and "funny looking people", and of course Luna the talking cat. However the anime that transformed me from a one-and-done anime fan into the casual anime fan that I am today was Haruhi.

I decided not to invest so much money this time around. All I got was that Sakurua VN. Haven't played it yet but I'll be sure to get around to it next year.
