Hello to everyone whom views this, I've been having a little bit of trouble with the game, DRAMAtical Murder. You see I downloaded it all properly and when I would open the game the first time, I could play it perfectly. But whenever I close out of the game for a while and come back on, it loads to a black screen, fading into another white screen and then for only a moment I see the title screen before it fades back again. I can hear music in the background when I keep the program on, but other than that the game just isn't working for me. I've looked around a bit and I've heard that you have to run sdrt4280j.exe before playing the game. I found that application on my computer, but I don't really know what to do? So, I was wondering if some one could possibly guide me through the process please?

Are you running your computer with Japan system locale? (link to instructions): Yes Game Name: DRAMAtical Murder Description of Problem: I've managed to complete all routes except Ren's. For some reason it won't let me. There is a point, where I assume Aoba is about to go into Ren's mind (?) and the whole screen turns black. The normal visual for a Scrap or Rhyme intro is that black and blue/red mini movie thing. I assume this is what's supposed to happen next. The screen does go black, but then the whole game stops and it closes down. I've tried many times to re-do the route but it always shuts down at the same point. Your Operating System: Windows 7 64 or 32 bit (link to how to find): 32 bit What did you already try? (Uninstall/Reinstall, Redownload, Run as admin, etc): Just running as admin. My computer is already set to the Japan system locale and honestly, I'm not sure if I can do anything. Turning off the movie visuals in the config menu doesn't affect it. It's a real shame, as the game has been working perfectly so far.. Did you download your game from Fuwanovel?: Yes Here's a screenshot of the game when it shuts down: -
I'm sorry if the problem is getting old. I've found a couple of people who had exactly the same problem as me. I don't have a problem both installing and starting the game until the RPG Silent Oath scene. Aoba asked Ren to open the downloaded game and the princess is supposed to come up asking for help, but the game just don't continue. The blue window was blank. I tried to resolve the game myself many times but the old post I found really didn't help. So I don't have any choice now. What I've already done: - change local to Japan / seeding torrent > aren't the problems cause I could start the game - some say it's a bug which will disappear after start a new game and auto run the dialogue till the scene. > I've done that many times but still didn't work - re-download / re-force checking the torrent (I've seen a post which the problem was fixed by this but the file seems ok) - I even check the DX. The file's name of the scene ( the princess appears asking for help) is mvdot014.ngs. I changed .ngs to .mpeg and the video could be played just fine. Please help me. I really want to play the game but if you have no idea what just happened to the game so it's fine. I think I have to accept the reality hahaha. By the way, thank you in advance for any attempt of helping and sorry if the problem is kinda of old.

Hi guys, this is my first post on this site, but I've used it for a while. However, I downloaded DRAMAtical Murder (From Fuwanovel) and tried to run it. I've run all the extra files, tried the crack and ordinary version, all to no avail. My exact problem is that the game itself runs, and I can hear the BGM on the menu screen. I can swipe my mouse over where the options should be and hear the sound effects, and I even started the game and the sound worked fine, but with just a black screen. Some context here: I'm running a crappy ASUS netbook with 4GB RAM, Unknown graphics card, and Lubuntu OS with Wine. I don't know if it's a DirectX thing, as I have no idea how to update it I know it's not an issue with the RAM, because the sound plays perfectly. It's probably not an issue with the graphics card, because the Japanese warning messages initially came up fine. I've changed my system locale. and tried every known fix on Earth. If anyone here could help me or at least tell me what the problem is, I would be hugely grateful. This problem's been annoying me for MONTHS now. PS: If it helps, the laptop I use is an ASUS Eee PC 1000HD, with an Intel GMA 950 Graphics Card, and I'm running Lubuntu 32-bit with Wine.

So I just finished downloading Dramatical Murder onto my laptop and I used BitTorrent to download and open it, After it was done I clicked onto DMMd_crack_for_ver110 and a black tab opened for a few seconds then closed aterwards. I changed my local to japanese and un checked the file as 'read only' yet it still isn't working OH and i also tried the whole SdActi thing but that didn't work either..? I have windows 8 and my computer is a 64bit I tried checking forums like this one to try to find the answer but nothing is working .-. Please help me xD -

(Uninstall/Reinstall, Redownload, Run as admin, etc): all Did you download your game from Fuwanovel?: yes soooo yeah game works and everything, i can hear the music playing Only problem. as i started running the program it hit black screen for a long while until i got bored and blindly started clicking around. the title screen briefly showed before going back to the black screen. i know it is still working because the title screen music still plays... may i please get some advice on how to fix this problem?

So, I finally got my game working last night and it was awesome! I was so proud that everything had worked and it ran smoothly. Great first time playing. I finally met Mink and when they left to find Granny, I decided to save and play again tomorrow. It was 1am. So, after saving and exiting, I moved the file the game was on to my desktop, renamed it and went to bed Today, I cannot get it to open. It black screened me, and then shut off a second later like it had done the past few times before I realized there was a file I had to run. Everything is still set and nothing has changed on my computer since yesterday. What do I do?

okay so i downloaded bitorrent and downloaded dramatical murder, but when i open it, a black screen comes up and then disappears so i cant play it. what am i doing wrong?

can anybody help me? i downloaded DRAMAtical Murder with the english patch awhile ago. i played through Koujaku's route, but i haven't had any free time to play it since then. today, i tried to open it, but it won't work. a black screen pops up for a second, but it closes immediately. i don't understand what happened. it was working fine before.

Game Name: Dramatical Murder Description of problem: As soon as I double click on the crack version of dmmd, I get a black screen and an immediate error message in Japanese that starts with the phrase "DirectSound". I feel it may be worth mentioning that my computer's speaker jack is broken, and wouldn't be able to play sound. Dunno if that has anything to do with this. Operating System: Windows 7 64 or 32 bit: 32 bit What did you try?: I know very little about the VN world, and how to operate these things, so I just followed a guide that only told me to install the fuwanovel torrent, change my system locale, restart my computer, open the folder, and double click the dmmd crack version. I didn't want to stray from those directions on my own for risk of messing it up worse. Did you download your game from Fuwanovel?: Yes! I really, REALLY want to play this game! Any help would be extremely appreciated.

I'm aware that this subject has been beaten half to death but I've tried almost every other suggestion posted for people having the same issue and none have worked out so far, so here we go. Are you running your computer with Japan system locale?: Yes (I have also tried Applocale, doesn't want to open the game either) Game Name: Dramatical Murder Description of Problem: The game will not open, the black screen pops up (both with applocale and without) and then disappears after a few seconds Operating System: Windows 7 Did you download your game from Fuwanovel?: Yes ma'am What did you already try?: The #1 fix I found for this problem was to try running the game through Applocale, which I did, and the problem remains unchanged. sdrt4820j has also been installed. Any help would be great. Thanks!

Operating System: Windows 7 (on a Mac with bootcamp) 64 or 32 bit: 64 bit Did you download your game from Fuwanovel?: Yep, all three tries. What did you already try?: Umm, pretty much everything I could find on these forums. I've downloaded the game three different times. The third time I got further into opening it than the previous attempts (I used BitTorrent instead of Vuze which I used for the first two downloads. Vuze was the problem with the first two tries because an encoding error). This time I was able to run the installation program (sdrt4280j is its name), but running DMMd only makes an error pop up. The DMMd_crack_for_ver110 will open to a black screen for a few seconds then immediately close. I tried opening SdActi and then closing it, but it didn't seem to help. My computer has been restarted and shut down multiple times (I've been trying to get this to work for the past three days). I double-check the system locale each time. It is still set to Japan. I am the admin on my computer, so that's not an issue here. I also downloaded and installed CCCP codec pack. Still no improvement. I did notice something strange while I was typing this. No matter how many times I un-check the Read Only box in the properties of the game's folder, it immediately reverts back to a read only file. Perhaps this is the root of the problem? This is the error I get when I try to open DMMd: I actually just made an account in hopes someone might be able to figure out what's wrong. Since this is my first post, I apologize if I've done anything incorrectly. Also, sorry this post is so wordy :c

I actually had the same problem at the scene where Aoba and Ren were trying to start up the rpg game But idk how I did it, I managed to pass that scene after my second try... However, I came across the almost similar scene again and got stuck at this part.. It's the scene where Aoba and Koujaku were running away from the policemen who were after Aoba..and the both of them got the same message on their coils... It's stuck, nothing progress at all....only the song in the background Please help me I really want to play this game!!

Are you running your computer with Japan system locale?: Yes Game Name: Dramatical Murder Description of Problem: Played through Koujaku's route (both good and bad endings) with no problems. Launched game next and started a new file to start Noiz's route. Got to the first choice (where Koujaku is with the girls) and the game completely freezes, giving no error message. It froze my computer completely and I had to do a forced restart. Then when I launched the game after the restart, it loads a black screen and after a few seconds it gives the 'www.otomedream.com has stopped working' error and then shuts down. Game hasn't loaded since and gives the same errors. Your Operating System: Windows 8.1 64 or 32 bit : 64 What did you already try? Game re-install, stopped it from seeding in torrent client, did forced file re-check through torrent client, made sure all game files weren't 'read-only', ran game as administrator (always did when it was working), ran the game from the crack file (always ran it from here when it was working), did a scan/repair on computer Did you download your game from Fuwanovel?: Yes I've read other topics where users were having the same issue and the only thing I tried that got the game to launch again was deleting my save data. I don't want to lose my progress, so does anyone have any other suggestions to try? Thanks in advance! -
Recently, I've been inclined to finish the laste routes of Dramatical Murder, which was just sitting there on my laptop. But once I clicked on the short cut, it only opened a black window and closed a few seconds later. Dramatical Murder has worked fine for me in the past. But this is a new profile and I basically copied all of my old files from the previous profile, so that might be why. The sdrt4280j thing is installed, and my locale is set to Japanese as well. I really don't want to start over again or uninstall it. Do you have any suggestions why Dmmd might not be working? Anything would help, really!

(link to instructions): Yes/No Game Name: Dramatical Murder Description of Problem:Okay tonight I was playing Ren route for the first time and then Otome error came up and the game froze when Ren bit Aoba arm and Noiz appears, I read other comments, and I don't want to delete the game. its not seeding in the background (I turn my internet off when playing). could you please help, this the first time this happened to me. also im playing the game cracked version, not the 'dmmd.exe' version. Edit: also when I go start up the game again, it works until around Rin bit Aoba arm. It keep stopping there.

Yes, already installed AppLocal Game: Dramatical Murder Description of Problem: When i try to run the game, there opens a black window, and closes after a few sec. Your Operating System: Windows 8.1 64 or 32 bit: 64 bit What did I already try? Of course, i installed the sdrt file, and also downloaded the applocal. The settings are on japanese, my anti-virus and torrent is disabled. I tried to open the SdActi file then close it, but it didn't helped. Did I download this game from Fuwanovel?: Yup! And the game just does not open. (The English game opens for a few seconds on a black screen and closes.) Your Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate. 64 or 32 bit? : 64. What did you already try? : Everything. @ _ @ I re-installed, installed AppLocale, HF pAppLoc, pack of codecs, "DMMdUpdate1.10". I tried to run with Deamon Tools Lite a few times, I even moved the files to. "Iso", but it did not work then is back as before. There is no "ready-only" mode. I've tried running as an administrator in Japanese and Normal ... Hum ... I tried to download the "Windows XP Mode", but there is no valid download from Microsoft or any other site. I downloaded the english patched DMMDrc today and when I try to open it, it opens for a few seconds, and then it shuts down. I don't know how to get it to work. I have tried restarting my computer and everything. I have the regular DMMD on my computer aswell and that one works perfectly fine, but re:connect won't work. and yes I do have my computer set to Japanese for the non-unicode thing. please help?

Hiyaaaaaaaaa, I recently began playing DMMd and it wonked out on me and I had to uninstall it and re-install it. Now. When I opened the game back up it said i still had save files and everything so I was pretty happy and started where I left off (which was when the whole group was in the basement of Heibon), after the scene changed to the North District suddenly the game was in Japanese again. So I closed the game, did some research and found out that I shouldn't start from a previous save file or "errors would occur later in the game" (I guess they meant the sudden reversion back to Japanese.) Anyhow, just do be safe, I went into Nitro+CHiRAL's program file in my computer, deleted the " English Patches" and then put them back in. After making sure everything was in there, I restarted my computer. When I logged back in and tried to run the game (and yes, i am running the crack_for_ver110 or something) a black box appears and then it closes. Anyway, help is greatly appreciated as I've been having problems with the game since day one. For your convenience: Things I have tried: running the program through AppLocale, restarting the computer, running DMMd.exe, running the crack version, also I DO have my locale system on Japanese (Japan), also I just downloaded CCCP and that did not help.

Are you running your computer with Non-Unicode Japanese?: Yes Game: DRAMAtical Murder/ DMMD Description of Problem: Every time I try to open the game it will load for a while have a black window then a box with 'otomedream has stopped working' comes up and closes the game ;_;. It worked a few days ago and one day and when I came home it started doing that. I would really appreciate the help!
