ExtraMana Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Can you recommend me some good comedy anime / manga? New or old, full length eps or shorts, long manga or short manga. Quality first everything else second. Quote
Down Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 As a fan of absurd, over-the-top humor I'd first and foremost recommend Gintama (for something long and awesome), Detroit Metal City, Teekyuu (shorts), Cromartie Koukou, and Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou. Just off the top of my head, I'm sure there's a bunch more. Quote

Stray Cat Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Nichijou and Gekkan Shoujou Nozaki-kun for sure. Quote
Turnip Sensei Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Tonari no Seki-kun is definitely worth to watch. I would also recommend Arakawa Under the Bridge. It's charming and really fun, though the weirdness might not work for everybody. Quote
MDruidd Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Nichijou and Gekkan Shoujou Nozaki-kun for sure. it isnt a decent anime, the story in the first and last can make crying and stomach ache,LOL Tonari no Seki-kun is definitely worth to watch. I would also recommend Arakawa Under the Bridge. It's charming and really fun, though the weirdness might not work for everybody. ahhh, forget about it, lol yeah tonari is good one, but its too short, sad Quote
CruelN1N1 Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Chronicles of the Going Home Club Kitakubu Katsudō Kiroku (it's the same anime but english and jap name) Very underated and not very knowed, i liked it a lot when it was aired so maybe you'll like it,GL (This post cames after i asked funny vns, suspicious...) Getsuya Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Jungle ha itsumo hale nochi guu (aka Hale x Guu in the US) Galaxy Angel (the manga and games are more serious, the anime is much less serious) Quote
Nosebleed Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Binbougami Ga (My favorite manga of all time and space) Mandatory Gintama recommendation. SKET Dance (Gintama in a highschool setting, kinda) Great Teacher Onizuka (continue on with the manga for extra epicness) Detroit Metal City (Watch it or Krauser II will murder your parents) Danshi Koukosei no Nichijou Seto no Hanayome (still the funniest romcom to date) Mitsudomoe Azumanga Daioh (some people don't find it funny, I thought it was charming as hell). Getsuya Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Woah I just realized there were no School Rumble recommendations. So... School Rumble. MDruidd 1 Quote
sub-zer0 Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 wow, most of the ones I have seen are already on the list, so here is one that hasn't been listed yet: Sabagebu! , it has 12 episodes, and is top of the notch comedy( It made me laugh really hard). Quote
Getsuya Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Love hina Read the manga, it is exponentially better than the anime. Ken Akamatsu has a sad history of constantly being screwed over by animation companies when they animate his stuff. See also: Negima. Quote
Nosebleed Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Soro no Otoshimono is quite funny! Another "read the manga" suggestion, the studio who did Sora no Otoshimono's final movie (which is a different studio who wasn't involved in any of the previous seasons) butchered the ending so badly even anime-only viewers were pissed (it was even worse for manga readers), I vividly recommend either just watching the first two seasons and the first movie or just reading the manga. Mugi Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Love Hina, Nichijou, Devil is a Part Timer, Barakamon. Or Non Non Biyori if you want some moe. Quote
starlessn1ght Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Maybe I'm not really adequate to post here, because I never read something for the comedy, there's a comedy manga I like: Kumamiko. I can't say it'll make you laugh, if that's what you're looking for, but I can say it has some interesting interactions. And anime: Non Non Biyori. Again, it's a comedy, yes, it is. But what it really does well it's relaxing you. Also, Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka? Quote
RinXD Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Mayo chiki http://myanimelist.net/anime/10110/Mayo_Chiki! Quote
ExtraMana Posted May 26, 2015 Author Posted May 26, 2015 I've tried the early suggestions and either not found them or dropped them. I have like 8+ new ones. I have a 95% drop rate so fingers crossed. Thanks all. Quote
Mugi Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Also, never watch To Love-Ru. B-but boobs and demons Quote
