sirjabberwock Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 No matter how many times I say my body is ready for this, the hype will continue to build up until the moment I hold it in my hands. Quote
Lewycool Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Or maybe it's just a HD remake of Fallout 1 and 2 Quote
GetterEmperor Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Or maybe it's just a HD remake of Fallout 1 and 2 I'd actually be down for that. Would be pretty aweome to see that. Quote
solidbatman Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Enjoy another shitty mmorpg. This would be the best possible thing to happen. Forces Obsidian to make them after Bethesda screws it up. The atmosphere of New Vegas was awesome and reminded so much of Fallout 2. Quote
TexasDice Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Yeah. I really liked the blue sky, clear water and overflowing electricity everywhere. Got me immersed in that post-apocalypse setting real good. Quote
InvictusCobra Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 You... you haven't won... You and your hyped-bastard friends will join me in a big ol' disappointment cloud sendoff. They just triggered the crush hopes button. The crushing of illusions will go on. You didn't do nothing with this, 'cept seal your own dream's death warrant. Cynicism... disbelief... pessimism... Never Give in to the Hypppeeeee.... *dies* Quote
havoc Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 just make sure to ready the torches and pitchforks ahead of time. Quote
firecat Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 there's a RP ranking and a timer, that can only mean a new fallout. p.s its 18 hours and 49 minutes until its reveal. Quote
Thomas Posted June 2, 2015 Author Posted June 2, 2015 Guys.... They're announcing Fallout Online No please no! No more MMO,s please Quote
TexasDice Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Who knows, Obsidian could actually be behind this one too. I heard that New Vegas was more well received than FO3 was, so it seems possible that they could go with what people liked more. Really depends on if Bethesda wants to err on the side of caution or not. http://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/fallout-3 http://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/fallout-new-vegas Depends solely on who you ask, both games are amazing. New Vegas is obviously the better game, because of all the expanded and new mechanics. The DLC also was better overall (although nothing beats Point Lookout), with Lonesome Road as the sole "black sheep". But Fallout 3 has more charm. I enjoy the fact, that hunting for Bobbleheads and Unique Weapons is actually worthwhile and fun in Fallout 3, while New Vegas is just plastered with pointless mapmarkers and locations. In Fallout 3, every location was made with a purpose in mind, where as New Vegas just has them to fill space (Searchlight Airfield, the traintunnel near novac anything, beyond the Boomers, etc). Also, New Vegas itself sucked. Freeside is an empty shithole with 10 minutes of content and the strip underwhelmed as well. I blame time constraints. Quote
monkeysrumble Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Blah blah blah yay Fallout 4. Blah blah blah I hope it's not an MMO. Also, New Vegas itself sucked. Freeside is an empty shithole with 10 minutes of content and the strip underwhelmed as well. I blame time constraints. Unfortunately that's usually the problem with Obsidian games. They have great ideas and a great story but are always rushed and are never able to complete them they way they were intended. Quote
Deep Blue Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 the world from fallout 3 was way better than the one from new vegas, new vegas was more polished for obvious reasons. I hope there is 0 mutiplayer features on the new fallout that would certainly ruin everything... Fallout = single player 100%, there is no other way. Quote
Decay Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Well, Bethesda's version of Fallout is kinda lame. If this isn't Obsidian developed, I'll probably end up cynical on it up to its release. Either way, we live in a post-Witcher 3 world now, I'm not even sure Obsidian could produce something that would terribly excite me. Where's Cyberpunk 2077? (In 2017) Unfortunately that's usually the problem with Obsidian games. They have great ideas and a great story but are always rushed and are never able to complete them they way they were intended. Except for Pillars of Eternity, which is a very substantial game that was also pretty dang polished and didn't feel rushed at all. It's what they can do without a publisher breathing down their neck. Turnip Sensei Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 To be honest I don't feel that exited at all. I mean I liked the fallout games, but at the same time I got bored really quickly. It's the kind of problem that happens in western RPGs in which you can create your own character. Everything you can create must fit the game world, which means that the actual impact your character has in the story is not very substantial. Sure you can make decisions and all that, but it lacks something that really ties you to the story. And if the story doesn't wrap you in, the gameplay must. But the current style fallout gameplay is kind of wonky mix of shooter and RPG and it doesn't do that well in either. It's kinda fun, but it get boring and annoying in the long run, when the stats start to decide everything. Still if this is Fallout 4 that's coming, I hope they do some improvements. I want to play fallout game I could fully enjoy. Quote
Thomas Posted June 3, 2015 Author Posted June 3, 2015 5 hours and counting. I'm so hyped for this, i know i shouldn't be because if its not Fallout 4 i will be greatly disappointed Quote
