Y'know, I've been wondering for a while and may as well just ask. Someone in a recommendation thread mentioned there being "almost too many H-scenes" in this. Are... Are there really THAT many?

As for the sex scenes, from my observation at Hitomi CG number it'll be at least around 5 per heroines. Since we have 4 heroines, obviously it mean that we'll have at least 20 scenes in Wagahigh (I need to check it through Sagaoz save later, so it might be wrong). As for whether the scenes were too much or not, I think 20 scenes is still within average number for recent moeges, moreso if we remember that Amatarasu Riddle Star (Another moege) did have 31 scenes.

For the topic, right now I played both of Sonohana 11 (In the middle of Shizuku x Eris story) and Fureraba (Already get Yuziyu at level 3 affection).

WagaHigh was pretty sex-heavy. I enjoyed the game, but once it got into a route, it definitely felt like a very large percentage of your time (more than half?) was spent on H scenes. Lots of thoughts on it from back when it was fresher in my mind, when I reviewed it: https://fuwanovel.net/reviews/2017/10/18/wagamama-high-spec/

Edit: Also, scanning through my review again, I was reminded that I really liked the soundtrack, so I just bought a copy on amazon.co.jp. This turned out to be an expensive Fuwa post for me...

Each girl gets 4 scenes (and one girl gets an additional masturbation scene). Each scene lasts a while. All of these are usually towards the end of the respective route, which often grinds the plot to a crawl.

Each girl also gets a bonus scene for completing their route (which can be freely accessed from the main menu).

Reading ef - the latter tale......

Spoiler

Shuuichi "assaults" Mizuki, fingers her very roughly, enough to send her into retreat. Then Shuuichi's heart gives out, and he has a weird near death experience...

..... that was the most surreal scene I've ever read! It was part disturbing, and yet somewhat turned me on? :michiru:

Finished Renna's route in both Tsujidou-san Jun'ai Road and the follow up in Virgin Road, it was really great! Though even in this one, Ai still feels for me like best girl :p. But it was tons of fun!

But more so, I have finally unlocked the secret route For Tsujidou AI XD, i'm now going to restart from the Jun'ai Road and go through the whole route and do Virgin Road and Minato Carnival FD!

Hi, basically i'm using ITHVNR+Translation Aggregator. For TA i have it set to use: Atlas, Google Translate, Mecab and Jparser. For me especially Mecab and Jparser are important, i get by fine especially with voiced dialogue/narration, but its mainly the Kanji where i'm stuck, being able to see the text as Romanji helps a ton. My setup is like this (i have a dual screen setup, though the translation monitor is on my right side not left, it ends up like that in screenshots because even though i have it on my right in the actual display settings for various reasons i keep it on the left):

I've just finished reading (well, watching a playthrough really, but it's a KN so there's not much difference) of Tales of Talia: Arcadia, the Winged Cloud's "dark fantasy" VN and My F***** God, I think the average Sonic the Hedgehog erotic fanfiction is written better than that piece of crap. Really, how can a studio that made 20+ games already, including a decent dungeon crawler be this inept at crafting a story? How can you be tone-deaf enough to inject 5 minutes of idle dialogue in the middle of a fight with a freakin' dragon? This would be disturbingly bad as a free Yuri Game Jam VN, but as an actual commercial product... :notlikemiya:

Oh, i thought you read in japanese. Ok now. When i read "Tsujidou-san no Jin'ai Road" 4 years ago with translators, i used the same translators you mentioned. Although i think sometimes it's still pretty hard, considering that we're talking about delinquents here, and they sometimes use some kind of an accent or just cut words. Like Azusa. Well, at least as i see it in english version.

Finished Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright

It was good overall, I tend to like medieval fantasy settings, and Phoenix utilizing his desk slamming prowess as a baker was outright hilarious and it was nice to have the Maya from the good ol' days

Puzzles were whatevers, they were about as good as some random mobile app you'd play to pass the time. Didn't know who the hell Professor Layton was prior to this but he was a cool guy, a bit too cool though in that he often overshadows Phoenix and makes him look like a total novice

The overarching mystery regarding the lore of Labyrinthia and the Great Witch Bezella was good enough to keep me interested, though when it came down facing the reality and unraveling the truth behind it all it was kind of disappointing if not super underwhelming

But the entire setting did make for some fun witch trials. I particularly liked the whole mob mentality / having multiple witnesses testifying together, it made cross examinations much more hectic and fun. The stakes were extremely high too, I mean you usually don't see or hear about the fate of the Guilty parties in Ace Attorney but here you get to see the results immediately ><

P.S. I think this game came out before Dual Destinies but apparently Professor Layton is a follower of Professor Means :makina:

I knew about Layton beforehand, but didn't play any games with him. And yeah, i'd prefer if they gave Phoenix more role and confidence. Sometimes it doesn't feel like he's a cool lawyer, like in Apollo Justice or later for instance, but some amateur or professor's pupil or whatever. Wish they both played an equal role in story.

Put a pause on Kyou's route for the moment to go after Maya cuz she's the character I liked most. I do like Kyou but her route seems meh so far. But man I'm really frustrated with 3:10 to Yuuma.

I hate how slow witted Yuuma is and his weak ass teasing skills. If I was in his shoes me and Maya would probably be either inseparable or in the middle of trying to kill each other. Or both, ideally.

But man, Maya is the type of girl I would definitely fall for in real life so seeing this fucking idiot fumble around is annoying me.

Well to some extent i do read in japanese :p, its the kanji and hiragana i'm having trouble with, but luckily MinatoSoft /Carnival novels are heavy in voiced dialogue, for the rest Mecab and Jparser do an okay job of converting kanji/hiragana to romanji (its not always perfect but most of the time its good enough) so i mainly read that while sometimes stealing glances at google translate/atlas if something feels of.

Common complaint. Unfortunately, the professor is simply too OP. That is one of his main traits. Phoenix would have hardly had a chance to be on the same level as him.

I'd still have preferred if he were, though.

Same complaint about Phoenix and Layton, but another big one I have is that the end/truth is too "Layton-esque" and full of plot holes.

Neko-nin Exheart 2 is pretty much exactly the same deal as Neko-nin Exheart 1. It's what I would describe as "a sakura game, but someone in production actually cares".

Yeah. It's stupid, it's moe so buy for porn and moe and don't expect smart things to happen. However, once again, the technical aspect is just on point. These guys at Whirlpool have their technicals on friggin point. Smooth transitions, fluid animation, great screen-effects and a very good settings menu.

Nekopara has the novelty of being fully animated and hand-crafted by a factual goddess. But this Whirlpool engine is just fantastic and what I would consider it the technical bar a VN should reach when it's released in 2018.

I finished the Ai's true/secret route in Tsujiou-san no Virgin Road. IT WAS FREAKING AMAZING! And that PLOT TWIST! I now also understand why its called Virgin Road, in japan the expression describes (used spoiler because its relatable to part of the plot):

The march you take towards the altar when getting married

To be honest with Jun'ai Road especially on Ai's route i was a bit disappointed with the protagonist, but they completely fixed that for me in this fan disk, and coupled with this story, now it all just seems like awesome character development, his pretty cool when it all comes down to it, and pretty surprising, amazing even at times!

This true route is also comparable with the Agave/Kouyuki Route in Majikoi in terms of plot, action, build up and suspense, its the best one by far as far as the Tsujiou series is concerned. To go into detail, in terms of Plot the Agave one may have been more complex to be honest, but in terms of build up and suspense i believe this one takes the cake.

Character wise i will also like to mention that a lot of the cast shined in this one, they managed to really make us cheer for most of our Shonan delinquents and bring them all to the spot light. Even some none delinquent ones really shined or turned out surprising, without spoiling one really big surprise was Kouchou for instance.

When i started this novel i also thought that Tsujiou and Maki where at Itadaki Tatsuko's level (when she's in her serious mode), but i was wrong, as far as strength and technique goes they are definitely people who have past the wall of human strength and are probably above most 4 devas (except Momoyo of course). Them and Makoto (which so far this series indicates she's even worse) are probably some of the most powerful characters in this series universe (there's also another really powerful character introduced in this fan disk but its better i leave her discovery to you :p)....

As for now... I'll see if there's any follow up in Minato Carnival FD, if not, will proceed with doing the new character's route in the Tsujidou series in Minato Carnival FD.

To wrap up, i honestly think that translator was to quick to disregard the fandisk, if he would have gave it a chance i would really be surprised for him to say its not worth translating. But each to its own, if your able to play non-translated VN's you really need to play this one, Jun'ai Road was a nice read, but this is a step up in every regard, its very well done, and its a lot more action packed and with an amazing build up during many of its routes. The after stories (except for Ai's true ending) don't really add much are fairly simple and short, but Azusa's, Yoiko's and especially the true/secret Ai route are amazing! Thus i leave you with some of my favorite scene CG's as well (in spoiler but i will try to pick some that don't spoil to much):

Oh, they did bring something like Agave/Kouyuki route, that's great! And considering "another "really powerful character", i guess it's

Spoiler

Maki's mother)) Dat picture of her you attached!

Actually, considering Ai, that's a rather obvious ending, although it doesn't make it bad of course. I have some grudges about:

1. Ai being "the most" main heroine here, so all other routes kinda lack in something... Especially in Virgin Road, where, as i can guess, only one secret route, and again it's for Ai;

2. Not so many fights as i wanted, especially considering Maki.

But i described what i mean in my last post in Tsujidou thread, so i won't go into details here.

Overall, imo it's too underrated VN, let's hope for Virgin Road's translation. Too bad it's not gonna be another VNs in Tsujidou uneverse, i have such a feeling.

Your right about who the characters is, and your right that some parts of the final challenges to be obvious, but that's just one of the many elements that make the ending, there's some really surprising turn of events for the ending which where not obvious at all :p.

Also Virgin Road ain't the last in the Tsujidou universe, like i said Minato Carnival FD has a After After Stories for much of the cast (i haven't started it but i think the route is for their third year and adulthood, especially for Maki) and introduces a new character route, Aketashi Yui, which happens during the time Hiroshi and Ai move up towards their third year.

*LATER EDIT: I made a wrong assumption just like with Anekouji, on Tsujidou's side they are not After stories but new routes, they take place one year after a certain event (basically in their third year of highschool)*

Oh, i kinda missed that part about After After Stories and new route... Thought it's just crossover. Nevertheless, it is crossover, so would be glad to see full new entry) Also, to not make this thread again about Tsujidou, could you please answer my questions in its own thread? To be honest i wasn't really sold on her just from the cover work, but she was so cute :3 (and horny lol), since Onizuka's route had its let downs i was a bit a bit skeptic, but freaking hell, what a route! It was quite a ride! It had everything you wanted from a minato soft/carnival game! Its really mind blowing how good their fandisks are, even better then the routes in the main games lol, i seen it happen to some Majikoi routes as well. The artwork is great, her character and the cast is great, story is interesting, and i'm looking forward to the new routes (though something must've happen to Ai's VA), as i said this one isn't after stories but:

It takes place 1 year after the breakup, meaning in their 3rd year of Highschool

I just finished Yukizakura.

It was nice. Lighthearted high-school rom-com with a little drama. Comedy in this was really good, and characters are likeable (except for EvilGrandVizier Vice Principal of course :P )

The best route was definitly Saki - her relationship with Yuuji (protagonist), as well as her character had some nice developement and route had pretty good flow. Other routes were enjoyable, but significantly weaker - officially game doesn't have main heroine, but for me it feels like Saki is the one.

gfs_89421_2_2.jpg

Other notable highlights would be Misaki epilogue

Spoiler

I loooove "family" endings - that's why I liked Chiho ending from Princess Evangile, Hikari from Miagete or Hinata from NobleWorks.

and Rei route was good too.

Misato-sensei and Kozue endings were somewhat disappointing for me (the routes themselves were OK, just the endings felt little lackluster).

Nice thing about this game is that other characters don't disappear when you enter heroine route. They play important role throughout whole game. OTOH there is no clear distinction between common and heroine routes, with most key events repeating, so after the first route you'll probably be skipping a lot.

Character sprites and CGs were quite good for such ancient game, backgrounds were OK (except for traincar, which could use some more detail).

Nice, but IMO weaker than To Heart 2, so I give it 7.5

Game can be bought really cheaply on JAST site, so you may give it a try.

PS To have sound on Win7 (and upwards probably) you have to download "imaadp32.acm" codec and put it inside game directory. Otherwise it will complain that the system cannot play ADPCM and there will be no sound. Same goes for Heart De Roommate and other similar games from that era.

And continuing my adventure with old VNs, I'll now try aforementioned Heart De Roommate.

Because i was in a hurry there is one thing i forgot to say about Yui, in most animes and visual novels i hate her archtype regardless how cute they make them, i really dislike characters that pass judgement on others without bothering to see how they really are (and as far as deliquents go she is really biased), i also usually dislike characters that are to pushy, but Minato Carnival really played her well, despite her being quite an extremist i really got attached to her, she's one of those types whose smiles you wanna protect :P (just like Tsujidou while being an opposite of Tsujidou). She also happens to be the main heroine of the Tsujidou side of Minato Carnival FD, in fact you can't touch the other routes as far as i know unless you do hers first, with that out of the way i'm off to do Ai's route :3.

Finished with Shizuku x Eris story in Sono Hanabira 11, and for now I'll try to finish both of Yuzuyu's route and Takako x Runa story. Or so that's the previous plan, because right now I decided to change the plan by playing eden as a breather (Quite strange I know).

Finished Tsujidou Ai's route in Minato Carnival FD, and.... seems that the main route was designed to change a bit based on selections with some short ending changes based on the character you pick for the ending. That said, however short it was i really enjoyed Ai's route here, it was pretty emotional near the end, and got me teary eyed, it was a very sweet route.
