Deep Blue Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 oh my friends dont give a crap about vns, anime, or anything related to that so it's a bummer that I can't participate but thanks for the movie/documentary EDIT; is the same one of the kickstarter, 2 out 2 xD MiKandi Japan 1 Quote
Clephas Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Most of them signed up the first few days and weeks, because they had money at the time (and I didn't). I only backed a few days ago. Though really, I just went around telling them a new VN was getting Kickstarted that I'd played and thought was interesting... lol Quote

BookwormOtaku Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 I've got a question myself, seeing as this Kickstarter's doing so well, could this mean we may see a localization of the Mecha-con games someday? I'm asking since I've been playing Monomono from a recommendation from Clephas as a good harem eroge and from what I've played so far it's got a good character driven story comparable to the Kyonyuu Fantasy series. I get one complication would be that series is pretty ero heavy so an all ages release would probably be impossible, but then again you guys seem pretty chummy with Mangagamer now and the nukige they release tend to sell well (which includes ones that have story with euphoria being #7 on their 2015 best seller list) Quote

It isn't a straight-out nukige series, as there is actually real character development and story involved. However, the people who like it will like it... and the rest will probably be offended by the basic idea behind it, lol. BookwormOtaku 1 Quote
MiKandi Japan Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 Final Hours: Stretch Goal 3 Unlocked, AMA Quotes, Thank You! Stretch Goal 3 Unlocked: Re-Vote We left the fate of mini-episode 2's storyline in the hands of our backers. After a second poll was conducted and analyzed, it was Lycoris and Aoi's pre-Libra story that prevailed. AMA Fun! Over the course of our Kickstarter, we held 3 different AMA's: 2 at /r/visualnovels and 1 at /r/cosplay. The following are some highlights from each. Question: Did you take inspiration in Draculius when working on Libra? "The world, setting, is almost the same. At first when we started Libra, we thought about remaking the game... but during the planning, we thought just a remake is not so creative, so we decided to keep some of the same symbols but make a completely different game." "For example, when we made Draculius, we didn't imagine the biting pee effect which people asked about earlier in the AMA. So for somebody who really knows about manga/anime story they might know about higanjima manga. In that story, when vampires bite it makes people pee, so I thought if we make something like this with cute girls it might be fun. Of course there is much more, but this is one example maybe people want to hear about!" Source https://redd.it/3z7z7u What got Producer MOKA started on his path? How does he create new characters? "When I was in junior high, watching animation became the starting point. For example, anime like Mashin Eiyuuden Wataru. I was also a fan of Oji Hiroi, creator of Sakura Taisen (both game and anime) and Mado King Granzort. I was inspired by his work, so when I found Oji was a game creator also, it helped guide my path in that direction." "When I create a new character, before I visualize what they look like, I think about what they might say that connects to the story. From there, the details begin to materialize as more dialogue is written." Source: https://redd.it/40en99 Kurusaka-san, I like your cosplaying! Why did you become a cosplayer and what's it like in Japan as a cosplayer? "Thank you for your question. When I was a child, I really loved anime and manga. Naruto is my favorite. One day, my friend showed me a picture of Naruto cosplay (it was Sakura). From that moment I fell in love with the idea of dressing up as a character from my favorite show. What I like about cosplaying in Japan is there is a big community! I have a many cosplay friends and we enjoy talking about how to make different kinds of costumes. We get to share a lot of cool information with each other. There's also are plenty of shops to buy cosplay items from." (smiling) From Kururu Kurasaka's AMA: https://redd.it/40e97p Thank You! MiKandi Japan and XERO would like to give a sincere, heartfelt thanks to our friends, followers, the media sites that shared our battle with their audience, and to the Vampire Princess Army. Without you, making it this far wouldn't have been possible. Together we've marched to victory and proven that there is a hope for more visual novels to make it overseas. Onward to Immortality! jetpack003 Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 Well, I'm glad that you guys managed to figure out how to solve that second poll. If you guys are reading this, how does it feel to successfully reach the goal of your first project? Quote
Darklord Rooke Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 Congratulations on not only getting funded, but reaching a number of stretch goals. I admit I didn't think you'd make it, but you guys have done a pretty fantastic job. Good luck with the project Quote
VirginSmasher Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 I may be late to this, but congrats on getting funded. I'll eagerly be waiting for this one. It looks very interesting. Quote
Dergonu Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 Oh wow, gratz so much on making the third stretch goal! Awesome to see this do so well! Quote
KuroganeHomura Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 MikandiJapan: Considering the mini episode 2 stretch goal is at 158k, do you think it would be at all possible to move the mini episode 3 stretch goal to 170k? It doesn't seem likely the 210k stretch goal will be reached and there's a lot of space between 158k and 210k stretch goals. Dergonu and Canicheslayer 2 Quote

MiKandi Japan Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 Hi Guys, It's been a little over 24 hours since the end of the Kickstarter and I can honestly say that, part of me feels like I'm still on the "battlefield" when I should be celebrating with everyone. When I woke up this morning, just like every day, I went through my routine thoughts, racing as they do, about what needed to do be done with the remaining time. Then it hit me, Kickstarter was over! o.O The past 120 days -- every day -- have been filled with intense planning, ups/downs, execution of ideas, surprises (see James's KS celebration comment), and fun. For me personally, switching gears has been a little slower than expected, but I've got my foot on the clutch and easing in. The intensity won't change, just the lane. There's many steps left to take before Libra comes to a full completion and we're committed to seeing it through to the end. With that, I'd like to sincerely thank you for all the advice and feedback you've given. Fuwanovel has a great crowd. It's been a pleasure to make your acquaintance. I look forward to keeping you posted on our Libra progress, and also share what's on deck for future projects. You might even see me pop in a few off-topic threads, too. ;-) Until next time, Jonathan (MiKandi Japan PR/Marketing) Suzu Fanatic, sanahtlig, BookwormOtaku and 8 others 11 Quote

littleshogun Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Oh, looks like I was quite late to the party, but let me say this first. Congratulations on your very successful Kickstarter, Mikandi Japan. Although I'd never give my post here, I'd always followed your progress you know. Anyway, my impression for this VN was the graphic and OP was good, although my judgement may be wrong though. While usually I would comment about seiyuu, in here I couldn't comment much because they still had quite small role roster for translated VN, and I usually like to comment about seiyuu for translated VN. Although I'll give comment about that very later though. For character design, I think for now Lycoris had the best design, if only for the her cloth. But for now I'd said all of the characters design was quite good. As for the premise, I think it'll be like Tsukihime because of vampire thing, even though I maybe wrong. Either way looking forward for this game release in English, although from now it'll be a long time (Around 10 months later). Oh, and for Mikandi Japan thanks for your effort for translating this game to English. That's all from me and feel free to update the progress here. PS I prefer you release the VN at 2016 Halloween, but if you want to do that at November, it's okay. MiKandi Japan 1 Quote

sanahtlig Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Kickstarter Backer Update: "Interview with a Vampire" Success, Translation Progress, MOKA LIVE!!! Quote BREAKING: Producer MOKA LIVE! Producer MOKA will be interviewed live at DenmoTV on April 14th at 22:00 JST. He'll also be talking a whole lot about their latest VN. I've already seen the promo material and... I've gotta say, it's a hot one. Too hot for Kickstarter :-P" The game pictured is Bitch Nee-chan ga Seijun na hazu ga nai! (My Perverted Older Sister Can't be this Chaste!). I'm curious why MiKandi JP and XERO want to spend much of their interview time discussing a nukige. Shouldn't they tailor this interview at least somewhat for fans of Libra of the Vampire Princess? Or is this title actually one of MiKandi JP's upcoming projects? Quote
