IMHO trying to ban this shit is, even though I find the content disgusting myself, nonsensical. It's freedom of expression IMHO, and I fully stand my ground on that fiction, regarding its subject matter, must be entirely free of governmental/legal regulation. This is like arguing FPS games must be banned because they feature murder or "it will give some freaks ideas to go shoot people". For fuck's sake. akaritan, BookwormOtaku and Narcosis 3 Quote

Down Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 If fictional beings are legally protected against filthy perverts, then I should also be able to legally marry them provided they're of legal age, shouldn't I? Silvz, Narcosis and BookwormOtaku 3 Quote
Nimbus Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 So long as Saudi Arabia is the head of their human rights panel, I couldn't care less what the UN thinks about morality. WinterfuryZX, Narcosis, AaronIsCrunchy and 1 other 4 Quote
Narcosis Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 At times like these I lose all faith in humanity... considering I ever had any to start with. Its the same kind of a straw man argument used against anything we find "morally" disgusting, yet have no clear evidence, nor facts to back up those theories. Within that logic, FPS games create murderers, raising animals promotes bestiality and everyone who's not a feminist is pro-rape.I can't even remember when was the last time, UN did something useful, besides constantly draining our hard earned tax money.Tfw fictional beings have more rights than you.I don't even.More like, when fictional children are given more care than the real ones.B-BUT THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!! BookwormOtaku Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 (edited) The UN can't even get get Japan to stop whaling so I doubt this bunch will be able to do any more than at most inspire a crappy reality show called "Loli Wars" or something like that Edited October 28, 2015 by BookwormOtaku Quote
monkeysrumble Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 Seems disappointing. Have fun trying to stop people from drawing things I guess. Quote
KuroganeHomura Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 Considering they ended up not banning drawn material last time they changed the law, which was pretty recently, I doubt they're going to do anything in the near future. That whole "some UN asshole says something" thing has happened many times in the past without any result. It's not like the UN has any sort of power to force Japan to do anything.Really, the only worry I have is that they might do something because of the Olympics coming to Japan. But that would probably target adult material in general, rather than anything specific. Quote
Nightmare799 Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 On what charges? Do they realize that drawn characters are not actual humans, and that people would rather have pedophiles jacking off to drawn porn that actually raping underage kids? Quote
Godskrieg Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 I'm not a fan of loli, but I still believe that it should be legal, theres a strict difference between fantasy and reality. It doesn't harm anyone in anyway what so ever, same goes for everything that isn't real. If you take offense from something that isn't real, then that's your problem. Quote

Soulless Watcher Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 Hey UN, how about you try and combat actual sex crimes against children? No? That would actually cost money and no one cares about crimes they don't know about? You are just doing this to get patted on the back by an extraordinarily dumb populace and to make yourself feel good for doing something, because secretly you know that your entire existence is a joke? Someone needs a one way trip to Switzerland. Quote
Deep Blue Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 U.N or O.N.U as we call it here are a charade, nothing more than that. Quote
