Timeless Wizard Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 I'm glad they listened, I just hope it is not too late though. There is still 1 week left. Quote
WinterfuryZX Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 44 Cats to the goal, it hasĀ a good chance of getting funded now. Quote
VirginSmasher Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 And we were all talking about how this KS would fail, myself included. It's nice to see this KS has a chance to make it now that Sekai Project and Regista have made some good decisions. Quote
Maxel Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Finally some reasonable prices for Kickstarter merchandise. Good job with lowering shikishi tiers, remember that in case of kickstarters true VN fans are probably most important, and they're the ones willing to throw thousands for sake of getting some shikishis/dakimuras and to also support kickstarter with the way they could not use otherwise if the KS wouldn't be available. I'll say it once more, remember to respect the fans.Ā I think the shikishis were that expensive priced, because Mikeou wanted a lot of money for his job, and didn't want to show that his work is cheap, but that's just my guess. And it's not how kickstarter works. It should be the devs/publishersĀ working together to gather the money to release the product together. Anyway, good job with listening to the feedback, and finally changing madman highest tier pricing! Quote
Dergonu Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Ahh, awesome to see that they have gone ahead and adjusted the kickstarter according to feedback.Ā Looking like it will make it now. Quote
Vorathiel Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Wow, this day (27.01) just started and it already have more money than yesterday! LightBladeNova 1 Quote

littleshogun Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 @DecayĀ I see, and yes I actually checked BlickWinkel writing about how he rated RD better than SG (I thought at first it was Killicool 64). I though since he was translator of SG, I assume that SG would be his most favorite game. Turn out I was wrong, although he still thinking SG had the good point of course. Before some of you thinking to bash him, he comment in regard of how handling the character, and I read that one of SG weakness (Don't be mad, SG fan) was how the writer handle the character. I think that's all in regard of translator opinion of RD from me. As for kickstarter, this morning the number still around 83Ā and now, wow the number right now was at 91. Quite massive jump if you ask me compared to past few days, although it still need a large amount of money to be funded (Around 44). If I may suggest, just in case it still didn't reach the targetĀ maybe they could try to extend it for at least 10 days and hopefully it will reach the target by that time. Although of course it would be much better if they managed to reach the goal by February 4th. Even if I suggest something like this, I'm sure Sekai already had any plan for this matter. That's all from me. Ā Quote
WinterfuryZX Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 That's impossible the only thing they can do is an autopledge with a fake account. I have a few suggestion though: 1) a couple of additional 2k tier slots 2) 500 usd tier. kingdomcome 1 Quote
Satsuki Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 The 1k tier is actually still a bit overpriced.Ā Oh well... I guess the KS should be fine now. Quote
WinterfuryZX Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Yes but they can't go back now, there's already 5 people. Quote
DavidB Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 (edited) Thanks all for the continued feedback. We're certainly listening and adapting as best we can with what we have for this campaign. We've been pushing hard the last week or so and are on a solid track to getting this one funded. If anyone has any additional feedback, please keep it coming. We certainly love to hear from all of you...be it positive, constructive criticism, or even the not so constructive criticism (because sometimes you just need to vent, and that's totally cool with me). Ā EDIT: Oh, and on a side note (not necessarily directly related to visual novels per se), we're getting ready to launch Rabi-Ribi tomorrow. If you dig metroidvania-style 2D platforming games and Touhou-style bullet-hell (bunny-hell in this case ) boss battles, this one might be right up your alley. Deep Blue Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 6 days and a few hours left and it's almost 100k, this looks promising. DavidB 1 Quote
LightBladeNova Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Latest update gives us a Collector's Edition, whooo!Ā Gonna up my pledge to get that DavidB 1 Quote
Basileus777 Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 The tiers finally look pretty well rounded, though it took a long time to get there. With the bump this will give the project, I don't think there is much doubt left that this will get funded. DavidB 1 Quote
Maxel Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 That was a nice journey. "From the worst VN Kickstarter" to "Acceptable/Good VN Kickstarter"Ā - Merchandise added - PSVita added/Price changes to the tiers(absurd shikishi's tiers changed to acceptable ones)/Names in credits/1$ tier added - New tiers for PSVita etc. - Collector's Box tiers added And there was also a lot of Game Information updates, pretty nice addition. I didn't read any of them, because I like to go in blind, but still that's pretty nice. Looks like the devs decided to jump on the train during the KS seeing that it's not doing well, and save honor, and also respect the backers. I wonder if how it would look if this KS has all these at the start, and maybe better layout and tier wording/styling, something like in Muv-Luv KS. Anyway, now we can rest assured that it will make it. After all, good job during the campaign Sekai Project, you still have a lot to learn, but I hope you won't make the same mistakes. ChaosRaven Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 It's over 100K now, so it's pretty sure it will make it in the last five days. Not that I ever had doubts about it... *wipes sweat off forehead* Canicheslayer and DavidB 2 Quote

slumwithme Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 I saw the update a little bit ago and while I'm happy that Sekai Project decided to listen to their backers, I'm a little annoyed that they decided to drastically increase the number of $2k tier shikishis.Ā When I pledged for it, I felt it was worth it given the lowered price point, the desperate need for Kickstarter funding at the time, and the rarity of the shikishi.Ā Now they've nearly tripled the tier size when the general sentiment at the time of the update was that the Kickstarter was going to be funded anyway.Ā It feels a little like a cash grab and a leaves me with a sour feeling about my pledge.Ā Still in a wait and see mode about keeping it. WinterfuryZX Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 I'm gonna Downpledge too but I'll wait the kickstarter to reach 145k, just to be sure. Quote

Not going to lie but the fact someone from Sekai Project came into this thread to talk with some of the community is a huge positive in my eyes and despite my harsh criticisms and my tsundere tendencies towards sekai project as a whole I have to admit this was a good move. I likely would not have backed MikandI's project had they not had someone come in here to try and push for their game and the same would have been true for this. The fact someone has for root double is nice because I have fewerĀ issues backing it now (wish there was a paypal option though). I'm still going to be extremely critical and cautious for other games and kickstarters as a whole but this one I'll go ahead and put in some faith. I'll at least be able to check it out sooner rather than later. DavidB 1 Quote
DavidB Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Thanks again to everyone for all of the help and the big push we've seen on the campaign in the last couple weeks. A vast majority of that is on all of you, so thank you! Also, thanks @Maxel. Good call on the Thunderclap push: http://thndr.me/T7lwJD - totally forgot that Libra used that - I even tested it out trying to get some votes for Sound of Drop. It was up for Community GOTY on Rely On Horror. We got edged out only by Until Dawn I think. Gave them a damn good run for their money though.Ā Ā EDIT: Also, why are you reading this?! Go out and have fun, it's the weekend. Well, consider Thunderclappin' then go out and have fun. Ā Dergonu and Deep Blue 2 Quote
