VNs in a Song

Hey Everybody! I've missed Fuwanovel a lot over the last few weeks whilst tracking around in various deserts. It's great to be back.

This topic represents an idea I had while on my trip: I thought to myself, "I wonder what song -- for me, personally -- perfectly encapsulates [enter VN name here]?" I came up with a few examples, and I wanted to start sharing them. I hope you'll join in, too.

The game works like this: pick a VN, find the perfect song to encapsulate your experience with it (in my head I thought it would be cool to limit the songs to the game's soundtrack, but don't let that stop you if you have a better song), and throw it up on youtube for us to enjoy : ). I've included my first "VNs in a Song" below. It's for Katawa Shoujo. Of Course. : )

I find this one piece more memorable than any other piece I've heard in VNs, except for the entire To the Moon OST.

In terms of emotional impact, I actually put To the Moon on the same level as Clannad. It's simply amazing what that game manages to do in such little time.

Yep, I loved To The Moon, too! Bought the game cheap on Steam, then loved it so much that I actually went out and bought a physical copy to show my support.

As for VN in a song, I'll go with this one just because it's one of the first VN OPs I've ever seen B):

When I was playing Saya no Uta, a song called "Stop Your Self Control" was playing in my head the whole way through. It has absolutely nothing to do with Saya; it's a fast dance song from a car racing anime and the lyrics are all about sex. Eventually, I though of the song as relating to the game; "stopping one's self control" is kind of what Fuminori did when he decided to pursue a relationship with Saya in his warped world. Due to this, the song really represents Saya for me, and whenever I hear it I recall the fond memories I have of playing the game.

Yeah, thinking back on what I posted I agree with you. This song really is more fitting.
