arakura Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 I've been using the microsoft basic mouse for the past two years or so and it broke yesterday, so I need a new one. I thought I'd ask around and see what mice people like. My preference is for extremely light mice, all the extra features are not necessary but not unwanted. Any suggestions? Quote
Fiddle Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 (edited) The Logitech G400 seems to be the mouse of choice for people who want something of all-around good quality but aren't willing to throw too much money around. It suddenly broke after a year or two when I used it, but I assume the prominence of the general opinion indicates that my experience is an exception. EDIT: From a glance at some of the prices of the G400 online, it looks like the price has increased overall despite it being so old, so perhaps the market has caught up to what was previously a steal. Alas. Edited August 25, 2016 by Fiddle Quote
Bolverk Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Personally I've been using a Logitech G500 mouse for years now. It's good shit yo. Cable gets a bit damaged after a few years, but you can replace it. Quote
Deep Blue Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 I use this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA4RE2576423&cm_re=a4tech_optical-_-173-000E-00009-_-Product because it's optical (laser sucks ass) been using it for 2 or even 3 now I think, other than the pad of the side it has like a rubber pad for some reason that gets a little dirty, my hand is pure sweat xD, it works perfect and it's pretty cheap. havoc Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 here are some choices,https://nl.hardware.info/product/341836/gigabyte-xm300-xtreme-gaming-mouse https://nl.hardware.info/product/198423/sharkoon-fireglider-optical https://nl.hardware.info/product/333787/gskill-mx-780 https://nl.hardware.info/product/130478/corsair-vengeance-m90 Ranging from cheap to mildly expensive but not overkill. I personally use on old trust gtx 35 but it is in need of replacement. Bought it because it is comfortable in big hands, but its definitly heavy. Quote
Barktooth Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Logitech G100s is probably the cheapest, lightest mouse with a decent sensor. I'm also a fan of lighter mice so I prefer this one to the higher end models. Quote
Narcosis Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Asus UX300 is incredibly cheap and solid. It's a blueray mouse with superb precision for a product of this grade and it's really good for gaming too, provided you don't have the need for many additional buttons. It's also small (but not too small), which makes it a perfect choice for people who don't have apeman-like hands Looks really neat, as well, especially in a dark room. That aside, Logitech G series are always a safe bet. They often last for years, if taken care of and there's a variety of different models aimed at different users. I guess you might give both a try, although UX300 is incredibly light and fits hand well. Quote
atorq Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 I have had the Logitech MX Master for about a year now, best mouse I've ever used. But it's not really a gaming mouse (whatever that really means) if that matters and it's not cheap. Quote
Okarin Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 I now have a gaming mouse, the Netway Virus. Fancy LED lighting that is useless, but really ergonomic and comfy. Quote
ittaku Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 I've hated every logitech mouse I've ever had. The microsoft ones were better. The steelseries mice are, however, fantastic. I have a steelseries sensei and it's the best mouse I've ever had. There are newer models around at a range of prices and features but I've had this one for a while. I also don't like wireless mice as they sometimes have a mind of their own, no matter how expensive. The most expensive mouse I ever bought was a top of the line bluetooth wireless logitech mouse and it was basically a steaming pile of shit (double negative, both logitech and bluetooth.) Quote

DarkZedge Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 When I got my Razer Deathadder Chroma I never turned to any other mice, I just love it and it's great performance wise as well. Quote
pual Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Zowie FK1 is pleasant to use, so is Logitech G400 but it might be too large for some people's liking. Quote
