lost everything

Just wanted to share that my computer broke and, although I got to fix it, I lost all my stuff from my HD (RIP). This means that I have to redownload all shows, VNs, movies, programs... my entire routine again. The worst: I'm also a teacher, and all my classes are now in jigoku.

Oh, but my porn, I don't know why, is safe. The only freaking think that last was my porn.

Sucks though, i once accidently formatted my 1tb hdd with all of my vn's.

managed to get it back by downloading some recovery software.

Took all night tough and the file order was a mess.

Did manage to get around 90% working fine again. the rest i restored of an old backup full of zip files.

I have two external HDs because the first is a backup of my all my stuff and pr0ns, and the second is a backup of that backup.

I recently managed to fuck up my boot record or something while trying to install linux for programming reasons... I ended up reinstalling windows, but thankfully I still have all my files left. Still a lot of setup of convenient stuff to do though... sigh

Well, you probably had to reformat your HD, right? I know there are ways to restore information from broken discs (though it might be expensive), but it depends on what exactly happened to your HD. Anyway, if you don't have unrestorable information there, don't bother with it.

The state of anger is now gone, and I'm starting to accept my "new" computer. I think the worst is to know that many things will never be ever touched by me again, such as some anime/movies that I've already forgotten the names.

Now I can see an external HDD more like an insurance policy than anything else.
