Aside from playing VN, obviously, the reason why we are all here in the first placeĀ :makina:

On my part, I love language, linguistics and on the more nerdy side, conlanging (that is, constructing lenguages. Yes, it is actually a thing). Also in the last 6 months I've picked up running as a habit, and now I am quite enjoying it.

I guess another "hobby" of mine would be physics, but since it's what I actually study in college, I don't think it quite counts. Plus, I am actually a terrible student, but truth is I love physics nonetheless.

So, what about you guys? I thought this would be a good idea to get to know each other better.

For the past few years I've actualy tried comic writing (mostly comedic one-shots based on My Little Pony, with some pretty dark humour - my RL friend is a hugely successful brony fan artist and brought me into that community), had a lot of fun doing that and working with various fanartists in turning my ideas into proper comic strips. But I've realized I don't have the imagination necessary to be really good at it, so I pretty much abandoned it lately, journalistic and academic writing works much better for me.Ā 

The things I do on my studies are also a hobby of mine in some ways, some projects I've definitely done just for the fun of it. I'm nominally a sociologist, but mostly deal with fan studies and porn studies, both are evolving into pretty serious disciplines lately. :)

I play video games, read LNs and sometimes manga, watch anime, get into arguments just for the sake of arguing, repeatedly click and drag my mouse across various screens for no apparent reason, browse stuff on Amazon I'll never buy, go for a 30-minute walk, go to the movie theater for every Marvel movie in the last 3 years, watch shows on Netflix, browse Pixiv, shitpost on forums, shitpost on Facebook, and sometimes chat with friends on Discord (it's been a while though).

Somehow I'm able to do all this while going to college. Don't ask me how.

I really like fiction and been wanting to write a few stories of my own (though I barely get any writing done). I'm also pretty interested in game design and development. For gaming I tend to lean towards strategy games, cause I like getting better at things, though sometimes I just try out games to see what the developers made.

For outdoor activities, I was into longboarding in the past year or two.

I love reading and writing.

I like reading manga watching anime, reading VN's.

Gaming online (Dota 2). Cute games like Neptunia

Reading fanfictionĀ 

Playing the piano or harmonium

Downloading Anime in ridiculously high quality and sorting it on myĀ hard drive.

I don't really wanna call my uni a hobby, but with the amount of time I'm spending on it, it's probably become one.

Devouring fiction of different kinds.

Learning some interesting facts about history (usually, through Youtube, podcasts and some articles).

I like traveling, but I don't have many opportunities to travel nowadays, so I mostly get by with watching Youtube and exploring Google Street View. I also enjoy taking long walks in the parts of my city I've never been to before.

From time to time I'm trying (and failing) to create something decent in RPG Maker.

Physics... well, I can't call it my hobby anymore. I study it at the uni, and actually spending my free time on it? No. :leecher:I know, I need to do it to become good at it. Though I do enjoy watching/reading popsci from time to time.

Gaming, manga, the usual stuff, you get the idea.Ā Shitpost and read long wars of shitposting (what am I even doing with my time???). I also love writing original fiction! AndĀ sometimes doing cover songs withĀ voice synthesizers because I can't sing...

So far it sounds like you're all cut from the same mould ^_^

Apart from the otaku stuff... I love music, hifi, audiophilia, build my own loudspeakers etc. , enjoy high performance cars and driving, PC tech, linux related development (I'm a kernel dev), bitcoin development, fine food and wine and all other forms of alcohol too (might start a distillery soon), beaches, skiing, touring Japan and eating its delicacies and experiencing its everything else, reading fantasy and scifi (not much these days), the environment and walking, movies and more... Half of that stuff I do with my wife and/or kids too. Used to do lots of other stuff too like scuba diving but you grow out of things and think fondly of them but have no desire to do them any more.

I don't have many hobbies aside from VNs. There would be gaming, reading (a lot) and sometimes watching animes but you also do all that when reading a VN so I'm not sure if that counts.

There's also sleeping, eating (yes, those are hobbies to me) and physics but I'm not sure if it counts because I study it at university.
