rpg/srpg visual novels?

what are some rpg or srpg visual novels? ones that have character level up, skill system, battling, or controlling armies like koihime? im just looking for any kind of rpg/srpg visual novel that has fighting in it. it doesnt have to be translated so raw japanese vns are fine too. some games i have tried are the sunrider games and sakura dungeon.

You could also try out some of the h-rpgs for rpgmaker. They aren't really VNs though, but some of them are worth a shot such as Meltys Quest, Rune Pharmacy, or Ariadne. Meltys Quest has an official translation while the other 2 require a fan translation patch if you want to play them in English.

Since they haven't been named in the thread yet, Eien no Aselia, Bunny Black, Daibanchou and Utawarerumono have all also been translated into English and are pretty great, if not as sleek as some newer games. Eushully consistently puts out great strategy games in their own right, but to my knowledge only Kamidori has been fully translated and the text is fairly kanji-heavy for a second-rate reader like me.

While there's already Eushully recommendation here, I think I'll should as well some of the VNs that I already played. As for my Eushully VNs it would be Soukoku no Arterial (Card battle), Himegari (Like Kamidori, only that it was obvious that it was th eprototype), and Madou Koukaku (The conquer countries game). For more RPG, I think Yumina and Seinarukana could be good, although the former could might be not for you though because it had dungeon crawling element. Also might as well tried Evenicle since you said that you okay with untranslated one, and perhaps Galzoo Island too. Hope those recommendations would be help.

I can suggest the Whole Utawarerumono saga, the first is only available on PC through a fantranslation, the 2nd and the 3rd have been officially released by ATLUS in the US/Europe on the VITA.
