Well, that's the point, but in case of FF they can at least say that they are tirelessly adapting the script so that even your typical american mama can play the game, while there's little point of doing the same with a medium as niche and culturally fetishized as eroge. Though I often see that FF XII is considered one of the best game translations among our VN-translators.

Today I'm going for Yuuki's route - completed Ayame and Chiho so far. For now, I'm a bit underwhelmed. If Yuuki's or Rinka's routes don't grab me with something, I think it'll end up around 7/10 score. This game at various points gives me hopes or raises up expectations, but then never really gets there - close, but something's still missing.

Just finished all routes (besides mahiru) and can say it did not disappoint, but it could have been better.

 

 

My route preference is Yuuki>Rinka>Ayame>Chiho>Mahiru

It might not be fair to say Mahiru's is inherently bad without actually trying it but I can't bring myself to play it when she's so childlike(like someone mentioned before she's a hardcore loli).

Moving on, Yuuki's was the best for many reasons but I felt the feelings for this route were on point and made her more appealing (to me, at least). I prefer the route where mc reveals everything because I feel a real person would have chosen this way.

Rinka's route( Which is the true route technically?) ,depending on your choice at the end of summer, was definitely good. Both endings are satisfying but really do emphasize work over love and I could never understand that way of thinking. I prefer the normal ending(Where you don't confess), cuts all the needless drama and they both end up together anyways.

Ayame's route was decent. Went completely haywire at the end with both the extreme choices to decide between. Felt only logical ending which didn't warrant isolation(Or made life just something to exist in, waiting for death) was the non-confession ending. She gets her wish fulfilled (though, didnt QP give Souta a magical Cucumber that heals any disease? Why was that left out? Might have been a little over the top if the way it was used was the way he explained lol) and continues to walk with Souta. 

Chiho's route was a royal mindfuck(excuse the french) and I had no idea what had happened when I finished it. If someone could explain for me I would appreciate it!

Mahiru's route. I never completed it and won't because I can't bring myself to have to sit through H scenes with a girl of very questionable age(considering the VNDB page says she's in middle school....). Also, read it was a pretty boring route honestly. 

I give the VN 7/10 for at least bringing some variation to the genre with all the little secret scenes and alternate endings. (May have been an 8 if Maya or Eri were present as heroines)

 

Also excuse my terrible review skills lol. Doesn't help I am tired and it's 5am lol.

I think that with Chiho they tried to pull a KEY on us, but didn't fully succeed Some parts about memories reminded me of Mio's route from LittleBusters. But yeah, considering how the dreams and reality were mixed up in this route, I'm also not sure what exactly happened.

And, like you, I probably won't read Mahiru, or at least will have to skip thru h-scenes. She's middle-schooler age-wise (7th grade, that would make her 13), but her looks and behavior are those of grade schooler - that's too much to stomach. From what I remember from 7th and 8th grade, most girls in my class already had pretty feminine bodies.

And I totally agree, that lack of Maya's and Eri's routes is grave sin. 許せない！Somebody on vndb suggested that MangaGamer should produce the FD

Yeah, when I played Hoshizora no Memoria, playing through Mare's route made me feel like a pedo honestly, considering she was modeled after a child. I imagine I would feel the same with Mahiru, wish they could have made her a little less childlike. The Ex trope is not something that is common in VNs so it could have been really interesting.

That's what all-ages versions are for, my friend (and that's the version of Hoshimemo I'm going to play )

But I suppose, SukiSuki wouldn't work as all-ages title - it seems to me, that h-scenes are one of its main points, with story being in second place (though it obviously doesn't reach nukige levels).

Nah, the porn isn't all that bad(I never react to it really anyways), just when the game has hardcore loli content is when I question things lol. Main reason I haven't touched Maitetsu and a few others(like the one underneath your posts lol[yeah I know it's censored out in the release but really?])

Train theme interested me, so I got Maitetsu all-ages version, but haven't read it yet.

As for Matsuri in Kazoku Keikaku - h-scene occurs after some rather big timeskip, so technically she isn't loli anymore (and still her body wasn't as disturbingly childish as Mahiru's if I remember correctly)

Guess you're not entirely wrong there, both still look like they are >12 though. In the remake for it though Matsuri doesn't look that young anymore.

Yuuki and rinka are definitely the best routes. Im sure most will agree that Ayame would be good if not for the confession part. Sorry to say, chuablesoft likes to take a dump on each of the routes in a way, but the stink greatly varies.

Only 2 routes i havent done:

Chihiro both looks and sounds super weird. Freaks me out in a way.

after you finish one of the three 'main' routes (Yuuki,Ayame,Mahiru)you need start a new game, sleep in the 1st week and use the cupid flower so you can confess early and get more scenes

 

you can also use cupid's flower and cover all the weekend dates which starts from April i think. Getting Yuuki and Ayame's reverse confession is a pain though ugh

I finished Yuuki's "main" route. It was good, indeed better than Ayame's or Chiho.

Quite a belated one, but still better than never. Here's the first tester corner, and it's quite long at that. Should be a good read though if you've been took a liking to the game. Enjoy.

As for the seiyuu info, I'll just list what role they have seeing that the post explain each characters nicely (Except Rinka). Here's the list below, and I'll included Rinka as well.

1. Himekami Ayumi - Ayumi Sarah (Kayahara Yukiko from Kara no Shouko 2, Yuu from Bokukotsu, Kousaka Mayuri from Flowers)

As for Rinka, her role is that she's one of top idol that was currently very famous in the setying. Also it's interesting to know that Souta did want to kiss Rinka through the TV, only to find out that he's kiss old male news announcer lol. The rest of the detail in regard of Rinka were spoiler, so find out about that by yourself later. For Rinka's seiyuu, her name is Arisugawa Miyabi who voiced Narumi Sakura from Supipara, Kazato Yoru from Konosora, Hourasien Runa from Sono Hanabira franchise, and Yukimura Touko from Hoshiori (Same red hair by the way).

How to get more Cupid's flowers than Ayame's "friend" flower or other main characters? I finished all's first routes.... I am planning to play Ayame's second route as new game. I selected Ayame's "friend" flower on 3/08, but I didn't unlocking 2nd flower on 3/15.  Did I missed something?

Sleep instead of doing anything and QP will give you more flowers.

So I've finished Yuki and Chiho so far and liked both.

Neither was great but both of them was quite OK. However,....

I started Mahiru... I usually have no problems with lolis but this is starting to become too much for me.

I can handle the child like appearance.

I can handle the child like voice.

I can handle to some degree the childish behavior, yet it bothered me here since there was NO indication that Mahiru would be mature enough to have a relationship. 

What I can't handle however,

I don't know where my line is regarding lolis but Mahiru is clearly beyond that.

I wish we could have gotten Maya insted of her.

Yep, same here. I read through the route, but had to skip the h-scenes. They were way beyond the line for me. I mean, come on, in-story she's 13 or 14, but resembles rather 8-10. As you say, she's total child. H-scenes with such character are just creepy, period. Other than that, the route was actually decent (but still my least favorite).

Actually, just a while ago I completed SukiSuki. I have really mixed feelings about it.

Choice system with it's dating-sim approach was really tiring, I'd prefer more traditional structure, with choices at branching points. The way it was, before locking onto a route we're limited to short scenes, that have to be episodic in nature, as reader can watch them in random order. That somehow limits the possibilities of proper build-up etc. I felt that sometimes there were too sudden jumps in relationships, or in general things felt rushed.

My favorite routes and heroines were definitely Rinka, followed by Yuuki. Ayame was nice too, but drama in her route felt a bit forced - like writers were trying too hard. Chiho's route was weird and a bit confusing, but enjoyable, and I wrote about Mahiru in the beginning of this post...

Like some other posters in this thread, I prefer "normal/non-confession" endings for Yuuki and Rinka, although that's close tie.

Sadly, h-scenes seriously dampened my enjoyment of this VN - just didn't align with my tastes I guess. I can see that there was lot of attention paid to them by creators (animations etc), but I didn't enjoy them - they were filled to the brim with almost all bad eroge cliches, and I didn't feel too much love there, just porn. Something was off. Also, for each heroine they were following basically the same formula/scenario. They could have been cut out just like in Steam version of Sanoba, and I think I'd enjoy this VN more that way - sometimes the way the scenes were written and main "eroge sin" - how characters changed during them - killed the mood for me

Also, probably to spice things up a bit, writers decided to explore some things I'm really not into - like anal or piss drinking...

I played the routes in order suggested in walkthrough - Ayame, Chiho, Yuuki, Mahiru, Rinka.

After first two I thought I would rate it around 7, and Mahiru's h-scenes made it even lower, but I have to give some bonus points for Rinka and Yuuki - those two routes save this VN. It still isn't worth 8 IMO, as I feel it isn't as good as other titles I gave that score, but I think 7.5/10 will be fair.

Overally I enjoyed it, but still feel a bit disappointed...

Ah, about the translation - "dude" wasn't the best word choice ("bro" would've been better ), but the rest is decent. Engrish converted to other languages (Spanish, and - in one scene - German) also is featured just in a few scenes, so not really an issue.

At first she said to him, that it was because she felt like he didn't really love her - because they never kissed or had sex... But later it turns out, that she actually believed that he loves Yuuki, and should be with her, so she didn't want to go in the way of their love.
