Vn like Dies Irae

What I liked best about this vn is that the cast mostly exists of very powerful individuals on both sides. The protagonist is weak in the beginning but gets very strong during the course of the story.

I also liked the dark undertone throughout it all and the war like setting. I hope this is enough for someone to recommend me something similar!

While not a pure VN, there is the Blazblue series though it pretty much peaks at the second game...

In a sense, Fate/Stay Night... though to be honest, Dies Irae is one of the pinnacles of the chuunige genre.  I'm not giving you the titles of games that have similar styles or feels because some of them have overpowered protagonists or protagonists who don't necessarily become stronger during the story... otherwise, I'd recommend Paradise Lost and Kajiri Kamui Kagura, since they were written by the same guy.

Well if you want more chuunige, I guess I can try to recommend Comyu here. Other than that you can try both of Pygmalion and Ayakashibito, and if you want to wait for a while then you can try Hello Lady when Nekonyan release it later. I hope that my recommendations here can be helpful to you (I don't know though if you already play some of the recommendations).
