ztrepzilius Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 Usually I heard people discuss about anime adaptation of the source material not VN as an adaptation. The first one I heard was Konosuba. Quote
Zalor Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 Angel Beats was originally an anime and got a VN adaptation several years later. Quote
Mehnot Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 Plastic Memories and Guilty Crown come to mind. Quote
bakauchuujin Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 I have made a series of videos talking about some of the visual novels that are based on anime, this is the first part. These are basically mini reviews I have done for the visual novels based on anime I have read. Quote
Markan Posted June 17, 2021 Posted June 17, 2021 Date a Live serie, at first I thought it would be a mess but it turned to be surprisingly good, especially the second game Chronopolis 1 Quote
littleshogun Posted June 17, 2021 Posted June 17, 2021 (edited) I seconded Date A Live trilogy as well, and as for the bonus the main writer also involved in the VN production as well. Other than that, there's Toradora VN, Oreimo VN, and the recently translated ReZero VN if you interested with some gameplay. Well no much that I can say in regard of anime adaptation VNs other than it has potential. Edited June 17, 2021 by littleshogun Quote
Clephas Posted June 18, 2021 Posted June 18, 2021 Good anime make horrible VNs and good VNs make horrible anime. Quote
