Rewrite - Siglus Engine problems

Hello people. I'm back with more problems. So currently I have this problem file:///C:/Users/Edmond/Pictures/Screenshots/Screenshot%20(2).png and I don't know what it says. The link goes to http://www.settec.jp/patch/support.asp?id=4434F424A413136313930303033363039593 and I have no idea what it says again. Can someone just tell me what to do?

Do you have your locale set to japanese? It's needed to play rewrite, though this error may be due to something else.

The error is about the copy protection on Rewrite, you need a Nodvd crack to play it.

Yea it's in Japan, and so is my keyboard when I open Rewrite

I don't know what to do since it's in the folder I installed Rewrite in/where the SiglusEngine is.

So I downloaded the one you linked me to. But now I got this message http://imgur.com/SgvF90Z

I think the message is telling me that the game can only be played in Japan but as you can see from the same picture, my keyboard and locale is Japan.

 

So close, yet so far...

I don't think so because when I was installing it, it would say stuff like Disc 2 (kanji that I can't read) or Disc 1 (kanji that I can't read) and wouldn't disappear unless I opened them both.

can you eject the dvd? its a virtual device right?

can you try reinstalling rewrite and see if it solves the problem,.

I had that issue the first time, but after re-installing it kinda just started working.

So I'm reinstalling it but now I'm getting this during the installation. I tried what I did last time (open Disc 2, open the setup function and spam the ok button) but that's not working anymore. Can anyone help me?

It clearly says "disc 2" in there in english. Pretty sure you just mount disc 2 there. You don't need to open the setup or anything. Just eject disc 1 and put disc 2 in the drive disc 2 was. It should work just fine.

Also note for the future even if you don't know Japanese you can try matching error messages with https://forums.fuwanovel.net/index.php?/topic/1333-error-messages-and-popups/ to figure out.

Another tip, ctrl+c in messageboxes will copy the text to clipboard so you can paste it somewhere for translation/etc.

if anyone is still having problems with this in this year <2016> and the reason you want to play REWRITE is BECAUSE of the shitty and boring af anime adaptation, follow my instructions, here: [i've studied japanese and see what the problems are with the "error messages" some people keep getting, it's easy　安心して　((´∀｀*))]

NOTE: you need AlphaRomDie and DaemonTools installed, and open the screenshots as you go through...

ANOTHER NOTE: if you downloaded the game from sukebei, the kDays.dll (which is important) with the siglusEngine is on another zipped file, copy the kDays.dll one http://imgur.com/BQXXHGw on the desired file where you'll extract the iso file  (reffering to the instruction below this one), you don't need the siglusEngine, you just need AlphaROMDie... (later)

INSTEAD of mounting the iso file as an image, using 7zip or any other compressor, just extract it inside a folder(e.g. rewrite), but don't delete the iso file which you extracted from (cause you'll need it later); 

once extracted, you can see 3 folders there along with the autorun , just click the autorun and a window will appear http://imgur.com/g6zLJZt...

and click the one that says install which is in japanese＝インストール or  アップインストール (match the writing), just press okay which is in the same place as yes in english language installation, now wait until it's done;

when it's done, just press okay and at the last part there is a chechbox, uncheck it, it's just a desktop shortcut;

now after that, your not finished with the autorun yet, so open it again and at the last selection (open the image there at imgur　↑ ) you can see the その他の設定　which ttranslates to "other settings", click that and this will appear　http://imgur.com/a/bDD1U and click the one that is marked there in the screenshot, which is a repair installation...;

again, wait until the installation is done and again there is another chechbox there, uncheck it, cuz you won't need it.. if some of you guys are wondering why, here...http://imgur.com/nvgcx7P, if you start the game using the shortcut, the usual "error message" that you guys keep receiving オリジナルディスクを入れて下さい which is asking you to insert the original disk.. again, don't mind this;

click alpharom, the window will appear and there are three checkboxes there, check the last one and drag siglusEngine to the window as if you're trying to copy the file into the program http://imgur.com/wby9d5r and this will appear http://imgur.com/jvJrJkW and just click yes (btw it's chinese so just click yes), and as you can see there is a siglusEngine.exe now.. that's where you will open the game but don't do it yet;

now the last one is to MOUNT the rewrite ISO using DaemonTools , not the MDS (or just double-click the ISO file itself, no need to open DaemonTools) http://imgur.com/YO1qSzc;

and of course a drive with the mounted iso will be there http://imgur.com/XtPGuUI.. (if you're also wondering why, if you open the siglusEngine.exe before you mount the iso file, an error message will appear and say that the disk is nowhere to be found wherein the disk is the ISO file);

now you can go back to the siglusEngine.exe and open the game http://imgur.com/9NlMKr6

you can just create a shortcut of the siglusEngine.exe, move the shortcut to the desktop, rename it(if you want), open the properties and put the rewrite icon(if you want..hmmm), and open the game from there;

THERE, OVER! i'm sorry, i'm not good with the use of words, that's why i can't sum up the instruction with much shorter ones...

in any other visual novel install like this, just follow this and think that you're just installing rewrite again.... well then, later!!　 ╲(๑¯Δ¯๑) にゃんぱすー
