So, earlier today, I was feeling a bit nostalgic, thinking of my old days aboard the Anime NFO Radio Team, and I thought: "hey, why don't I do my own radio?!?!"  

 

So, without further ado, I bring you Radio Nao~!

 

 

I'll be streaming some of your favorite music on my channel ( http://www.twitch.tv/naomi955 ) in the highest quality--320 bit encode--as often as I'm online.  Eventually, I'll use this thread to organize specific times for certain genres of music.  But for now, it's a salmagundi of my favorite tasty musical masterpieces 

 

As for what I listen to and will stream: anime OSTs, VN OSTs, various JPop and JRock artists, and some occasional harder music.

This is a lovely idea Naomi, now i don't have to worry about what to listen to as often.

My only issue is buffering but it hardly happens to me. Is there any particular site that's dedicated to streaming audio only though?

There is plenty actually.  Here's an old favorite of mine: http://www.animenfo.com/radio/  (Thought they have a tendency to be frustrating when trolls pick the most annoying music to piss others off, like all the radio stations where users can pick music)

 

@Arturia: That's your internet connection then.  On my end, my stream has a green light saying that it's going through at 100% perfect quality.

Hmm, typically--on weekdays: 3-10 PM EST or so.  (I have school)

Weekends: Just depends on my work schedule.  I'll post here everytime I'm doing to do it, and delete my older post--to avoid double-posts and whatnot.

I have the video set at "No Source", which is the best I can do.  It's not encoding any video, which is the same thing really.

There is a lot off server software for audio streaming that works very well on a Raspberry pi if you want to host your own dedicated server for a cheap price.

 

and no rap what? whats wrong with rap? (i am thinking off the Swedish rap which haves good lyrics with a meaning)

I just set it up differently, so it takes 200kb/s to encode it instead of 1.5k kb/s.  So those of you with low banwidths can now listen to my crystal clear music with no difficulty now~!

That would probably increase the bandwidth used
