Yume Posted January 26, 2014 Author Posted January 26, 2014 so.... the game won't work in windows 8 , huh. . . i guess should wait for further patch so this game is able to be played on windows 8. Thank you very much! PS: Marketd this topic as pending Quote
Mephisto Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 This sounds exactly like rewrite. Stupid siglus engine. The game is patched against non-japanese region computers, I think checkmate did something about that given the "No_region_loader" executable (that I assume the patch makes for you in your directory). The second part is the engine doesn't work for Windows 8, and until someone makes a patch to make it compatible pretty much out of luck. Someone did manage to fix that for rewrite though, so it's possible (especially if the game gets translated) for someone to make a fix for 初雪桜 as well. Quote
Yume Posted January 27, 2014 Author Posted January 27, 2014 Yep, my Rewrite's Siglus Engine is like that too. but i manage to fix it, with DVD Room Patch Quote
rasiav Posted November 25, 2024 Posted November 25, 2024 (edited) Hello! This thread is from ten years ago, and still helped me a lot. Thanks so much for the screenshots, as I didn't know I was supposed to apply and run the patches on the main disk and in Program files(x86) I got the game running just now at 8:53 P.M GMT+8. I am currently on the game opening tab, the one where I could choose Prologue, load, config, exit [(https://imgur.com/a/1xwxkBt)]. I'm not sure if it will also crash on the part where yours do, but I'll make a backup of the directory right now and upload them, hopefully it can be helpful. Here's how my directory is looking, by the way. (Yes I'm using windows 11 lol): Edited December 5, 2024 by Zakamutt no pirate links allowed Quote
littleshogun Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 Well turned out you didn't really need to go through complicated process to play the game, because Nekonyan will release this on 12th (ie 5 days later) together with Hikari Field. And before you say there'll be only English and Chinese languages, it'll also include Japanese language so no more complicated work to get the game running. For Sigles engine itself, let's just say I understand it's very complicated judging from how I ran HatsuKoi and Ginharu, and that Nekonyan need to port both of Kirikoi and this. Quote
