False. I've come to find them rather corny and saccharine nowadays. At other times, they can feel rather preachy (New Police Story). I hate it when movies force a rigid moral obligation onto an audience like that in sacrifice of a good story. Teaching kids a lesson in morals is fine and all, but when done wrong like Jackie Chan movies, they can feel melodramatic, like a Hallmark Channel movie.
