There's also original characters that only appear in Essence +

Essence + has 11 heroines as oposed to Shuffle that only has 5.

 

The extra routes are:

Kikyou (Sia's twin)

Mayumi (Two toned eye girl)

Kareha (Asa's friend)

Tsubomi (Kareha's sister)

Sakura (Osananajimi)

Nadeshiko (Teacher)

Daisy (Mysterious loli)

 

This is why I eagerly  hope Essence + gets a translation.

It's a lot of extra content, it's more than double the heroines in Shuffle so it'll be a piece of work. Don't know how long it actually is though.

But yeah it'd be logical  to want to translate it in my point of view.

I remember playing it (as my first eroge, actually) because I had watched the anime when it came out in the US. I think that's why it has a decent amount of popularity.

 

As for me, I downloaded the trial, and I'm really looking forward to the full version coming out. Kaede is my favorite Shuffle heroine, so I've been waiting for it. This was great news to wake up to.

Yeah, gods, devils, whatever. They're elves to me. I was being flippant but really, my point is that I don't fully understand where the game's popularity came from. It's not necessarily a terrible game, but 31st most popular game on VNDB? One of MG's best selling titles? I just don't get it.

Anime was really great and pretty popular so popularity come from there probably, but what I don't understand is why people like this so much as VN version isn't even close to anime, unles really? really! and Tick! Tack! are far batter from origanal Shuffle! I really don't get it as original Shuffle! VN was done porly.

That popularity propably came from the fact most of these people didn't have much else to chose from in the first place. I dislike the part of community that grew up on MG's titles and haven't actually touched anything else besides them; they are detrimental to the rest and with a tiny exception, don't bring anything exceptional themselves.

Well I've preordered since I like the series and Kaede's route was my favorite in the original game. I'll admit the series isn't even close to my top tier list, but to me it does enough right for me to appreciate it for what it is: a simple moege with fantasy elements.

I don't get what the big deal is about Shuffle! and it's popularity, i've read the VN itself and it wasn't that much to talk about though i'm not saying it was bad. I'd rank it as a decent VN to check out if you have the time.

If you've played any Phoenix Wright game, it's pretty much the same. Use keywords to find memories that aren't right and use them in the right text to fix the memory.

 

Although it can be hard. Like this one time the characters were talking about Primula and how it would be nice if she could go to school with them and then walk home with everyone. I had to play all the other memories because I thought I didn't have the keyword. So finally I had to go back and pretty much guess where the distortion was. Turns out is was the part where Kaede mentions walking home together. "That's right. Primula wasn't living with us then." How was I supposed to know that? I know it wasn't long after meeting everyone that she started living with Kaede and Rin, so I just assumed she was living with them then.

I don't know what to say about absolutely nobody commenting on me winning a free copy of this through that japanator raffle, lol.

 

That said, apparently shuffle is recommended reading, and so is tick tack. Which makes the whole free thing a bit amusing, though if I do decide to use my free copy I might get the earlier stuff for free as well.

 

Well, all of this convo hinges on me not having much money.
