Guest Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 Do you have any specific need ? I can give you the methods in PM if you want. The thread isn't closed so feel free to ask questions. I have my own reasons to keep the main post down at the moment. Quote

Guest Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 I'll make a request to the hackers here. If ever you help out a member or a translation team by providing them with a tool. Can you also share it with me so we can make the thread grow ? Of course this is if you want to share your work for free and if the translation team agrees with it. If ever you wish not to share it or if the translation team refuses to do so, please tell it to me too, so I can save time asking the different teams and hackers involved. This would be a greatly appreciated contribution. =) PS : This will be added to the OP once it's fully back up. Thanks again. Quote

Deep Blue Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 I'm sure this was already answered many time before but i'm kinda lost...how the hell do i pack again a .xp3 file, I already unpacked it using crass. Quote
Guest Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 You should be able to repack thanks to AnimED, it has a repacking tool. There is no info about repacking in the thread, maybe I should do something about it. When I finding enough motivation to mess with it again :/ . Quote

KuroHime Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 DAT file I've tried to extract the Sprites of Pegeon Blood (*.DAT file) with arc_converter, but the problem is the output files don't have any extension. I don't know how to view them. Like this: I've already used AE but it can't read this DAT file. I think maybe somebody know how to deal with this, so please take a look & help me Here's the Sprites filehttp://www.mediafire.com/download/9v...eh/pjb_char.7z Thanks in advance! XP3 file I've already used AE & arc_conv to extract the data.xp3 file of the game Tsubasa no Oka no Himeou: A red and blue moon -finite loop- but the output files cannot be viewed, then I used xp3dumper but it can't dump this file. This is the folder of the game Please help me PAK file [PSP] And I got problem with *.PAK file of PSP game K Gakuen - Wonderful days - . I wanna extract the sprites from this game, I guessed they're in DATA.PAK file. But when I extracted the iso file by UMDGEN, there're 2 DATA.PAK files, one in INSDIR folder, one in USRDIR folder. I tried extract both of them by GCFScape, it got error like this When I changed their extension from PAK --> PGD & open them by PSNPKGDecryptor&Extractor, still no luck, it said that the file is invalid. Any help Quote
Haiyami Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 Does anyone know of a tool to forcibly extract a 100% save data file from a game. I'm wanting to extract a 100% save data from a visual novel. There is no one out on the internet because noone has able to properly complete the game. So I figured, I might as well forcibly extract one from the game. If you can extract all the cg data and stuff surely there must be a tool to extract the data and then recomplie it into a 100% save file. By the way the type of save file is a datasu.ksd file. And the game is Pure x Lover by Xiguratt Works. Quote

dkr724 Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 yo. I'm having an issue with some .dat files, from the game tusjidou-san no junai road by minato carnival, I tried Crage which failed, then extractdata, which was able to extract from the arc0.dat file just fine, unfortunately it didn't have what I was looking for, just a bunch of images for attack animations and such. But for some reason whenever I try to extract the other two files, arc1.dat and arc2.dat, it scans the file but comes up with 0 results, and these files are pretty big. like 1.5 GB each. I'm certain they have what i want in them. these are the only tools I have/ know of. Any info or tips would be appreciated. Edit: after fiddling with extractdata I got out about 15,000 ogg files around 1-4 kb each.... no idea what to do with that either. Quote
CryingWestern Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 This tool should work, I've used it for another minato carinival game before. http://asmodean.reverse.net/pages/exwhaledat.html Quote

I did some searching and found you need to run whale through the cmd? I tried that. (about 30 different ways) but always wind up with it just saying cannot find exwhaledat_v1.exe (or v2) or getting a big fat ACCESS IS DENIED. I went through several forums and apparently need visual c++ redistributale which I also installed. still nothing. so a VERY thorough explanation for how to use it (and that may still fail) or an alternate method, would be appreciated. Extract asmodean's zip to a folder. Put script.dat, arc0.dat, arc1.dat and arc2.dat from the game into the folder. Go into that folder, hold shift and right-click in the folder, and then choose "Open command window here." Then in the cmd, put the following: exwhaledat_v2.exe tsuzidou_files.txt Quote

CryingWestern Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 I was pretty sure they already were... but if they aren't, there should be a merge*.exe file that should do that, if not, tlwiki.org/images/0/0f/ExtractData_English_v1.20.zip Quote
dkr724 Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 OK YEP. that works. the merger just made them bigger tlg files but extract converted them. thanks for all the help Quote
Wakarimasen Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Is there a way to extract the background files from JAST USA version of Steins;Gate? I've read a bit through this thread and have seen a small bit of information but it wasn't very well documented. I'm extremely new to exacting files, so it'd be nice if someone could give me a bit of advice. What I understand is: 1. That there is a file called .npa that contains the CG/background files. 2. That these files are encrypted? 3. I need to use a program to decrypt the files and to extract them. So, there is a program, correct that you place into the steins;gate diectory? What do you type into the cmd once you place it in the directory? Step by step instructions for total noob would be appreciated. Sorry if it's not possible or it's against the rules to ask and for being bothersome. :X Quote
