douggle Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Welp, while I know the post is from moogy, https://twitter.com/sekaiproject it would seem Grisaia is getting an OFFICIAL translation Quote
Nosebleed Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Nice. And they'll carry the staff from the fan translation too. Sekai Project is making me like them more and more when they announce this kind of stuff. Unless this is fake. It'd be nice if it's true though. Quote
sarayne Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 This cant be real i have to be dreaming... just wow Quote
douggle Posted July 4, 2014 Author Posted July 4, 2014 UPDATE! http://www.siliconera.com/2014/07/03/grisaia-kaijutsu-published-english-sekai-project/ Its the real deal, also further backed up by the fact that the English Patch is no longer available on the TL Wiki site! Quote
Kaguya Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Good, we need more official translations here. I wish them good luck~ Quote
Clephas Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 If yall played it patched and didn't buy the Japanese version, buy the official release when it comes out... we need to support this kind of thing. *Clephas plans to preorder, despite the fact that he already has the Japanese version* Darklord Rooke 1 Quote
douggle Posted July 4, 2014 Author Posted July 4, 2014 The downside, it will be All-Ages, However, That also gives it a chance for a Steam Release. So I'll deal with it. Quote

The H scenes in Grisaia were shit and very disconnected. I wonder if Fuwanovel will actually remove its torrent now along with Planetarian to actually support the industry now. There should be more support for the industry. Now that its really starting to take off. solidbatman 1 Quote
Dizzyworld2 Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 I hope there's a physical release of it. I would love to buy my 3rd favorite vn. Any speculation as to when preorders will start as it's already translated? I'm guessing it'll be at least when the anime finishes airing. It would be awesome if they decide to pick up Meikyuu and Rakuen later in the future. Quote
douggle Posted July 4, 2014 Author Posted July 4, 2014 Not entirely sure, but there will be new CGs and new Scenes among other things. Quote

HMN Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 I wonder if Fuwanovel will actually remove its torrent now along with Planetarian to actually support the industry now. now that you mention they have to remove it don't they? won't there be issues if they don't? Quote

InvertMouse Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Great news! I would be okay with the torrents being removed. We need to support the industry . Quote
solidbatman Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 now that you mention they have to remove it don't they? won't there be issues if they don't? Fuwanovel's policy was to remove licensed VNs. That changed with Steins;Gate when the staff realized how many page hits they got out of it. While the main link is down, the page still points to the torrent, which should still be alive and well on Nyaa from Fuwanovel, which is a shame. I assume they will do the same thing with this using some bull crap excuse. Quote
douggle Posted July 4, 2014 Author Posted July 4, 2014 Yeah that's a bit shit, they claim they are about "Bringing VN's to the West" But now that there are actual companies willing to do that... they should take it down. Quote

Kaguya Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Do we really want to discuss this again? So much talk happened on this already. Make a new thread to talk about the whole thing if you wish, but don't derail this one, people. Fuwanovel's policies are not the topic here, grisaia's official release is. It's nice that more VNs are being officially released, though. I'm not one to buy VNs, but maybe I'll do it this time. Quote
douggle Posted July 4, 2014 Author Posted July 4, 2014 I will be buying it thats for sure, Because even though yes it IS an all ages version there will be new content and an even more polished version of the script which I thought was fantastic to begin with. Quote
Darklord Rooke Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 I'm not one to buy VNs, but maybe I'll do it this time. Please do. If you're passionate about something (whether it's an injustry, a medium, or a developer) you should support it if you're able. I'll definitely be buying this release. Good job Sekai Project! Quote
solidbatman Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Do we really want to discuss this again? I know the staff sure doesn't. They might actually have to do something good for the VN industry for a change. I will be buying it thats for sure, Because even though yes it IS an all ages version there will be new content and an even more polished version of the script which I thought was fantastic to begin with. Based off the PS3 version from what I gather. Sekai is ambitious, I'd die if it saw a release on Vita too. Quote

I didn't realize there was a Ps3 version to begin with, I thought it was PSP, PS VITA and PC, however I would love to see a localized vita port, or hell even a ps3 port would be good, but I have a feeling something like that would entirely depend on something like Xblaze Code Embryo since its the only English VN out on the ps3 atm Quote
