RinXD Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Sekai has said things are moving way way way way way to fast for them they didnt expect this to fund that quickly Quote
Deep Blue Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 This shows that vns have a huge audience in the west too, Clannad was founded the first day too, now grisaia, even a vn like WAS was founded in the first week (if I remember correctly maybe even in the first days) and achieved almost all the stretch goals and just to name a few of them... I hope this is just the beginning of a huge wave of great vns coming to the west. Quote
RinXD Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Im waiting for them to add more stretch goals cause right now this is moving way too fast for them apparently Quote
Darklord Rooke Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Would appreciate a PS3 port so my sister can play it, but that probably won't happen. Quote
RinXD Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 It's getting a vita port depending on sony Quote
Lambda Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Pledged $120! Looking forward to this! ...Admittedly, I don't care about the stretch goals too much, but it's a good price for three games, so.... How good is Chiruchiru Michiru? Does anyone know...? Quote
RinXD Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Its not even out yet suppposed to launch some time soon Quote
LiquidShu Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Its not even out yet suppposed to launch some time soon The first part was apparently and the second comes out the 26. Either way its Chiru so win/win Quote
RinXD Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 not to mention it was never translated soo Quote
Lambda Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 not to mention it was never translated soo I know? I was asking for any opinions, and i knew the first part came out already so I was wondering if anyone played it in Japanese and found it good? Quote
RinXD Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 I coudlnt say for sure but most the kickstarter was raving about it Quote
Lambda Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 I coudlnt say for sure but most the kickstarter was raving about it Do you mean the people talking about the kickstarter or the kickstarter material? Because I'd expect sekai project to be a little biased... Quote
RinXD Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 I mean people posting comments about it on the backers comments thing Quote
Lambda Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 I mean people posting comments about it on the backers comments thing Oh! Thanks! Depending on the price I'll consider getting it then~ Quote
RinXD Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 i imagine it will probably be around 40 bucks since its a 2 part game but sekai said it would fit in the collectors box Quote
Down Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Chiruchiru (the first part at least) is a fairly nice read because it's funny. Both the parody elements and the fact that Sachi's here to crack the jokes (she's seriously god-tier in this game) make it worth reading. It's short and doesn't really have much of a plot though (although it's not so relevant) Goldensneer talked a bit about the trial here. I think we talked about it on the forum but not so much... RinXD Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 (edited) 1300 tell stretch goal 2 EDIT: Stretch goal two met Edited December 19, 2014 by RinXD Quote
Decay Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 This is actually going to surpass clannad's numbers. 0_0 Quote
LiquidShu Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 This is actually going to surpass clannad's numbers. 0_0 Duh the power of Michiru BookwormOtaku and nohman 2 Quote
Darklord Rooke Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 This is actually going to surpass clannad's numbers. 0_0 Clannad’s numbers are being hampered by poor stretch goals and Grisaia cutting into its allotted time. That being said some people would be happy with this. There’s a theory going around that a massive kickstarter with plenty of stretch goals cannibalises potential customers while at the same time costing the company more by requiring more stuff to be added to the game. The theory then concludes that this reduces profit. So a modestly successful kickstarter with hardly any stretch goals might net Sekai the best chance of making plenty of moolah *shrugs* Quote
Decay Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Grisaia's first two days far outpaced Clannad's performance, and I think that has little to do with stretch goals since it's so early. It took Clannad something like two weeks to reach $240,000. It took Grisaia two days. Quote
Darklord Rooke Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Grisaia's first two days far outpaced Clannad's performance, Aha, it wasn't by THAT much XD. Grisaia vs Clannad 2 day performance - 236k vs 170k. Quote
Jibril Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Honestly, what's more impressive to me is that they have less than half as many backers as Clannad, yet they're only ~60k away from Clannad's total funds. Got some very generous people on this Kickstarter... They're generous because unlike Clannad, we can get dakimakuras. I would bet a lot of people had waifus from Grisaia~ Quote
