Tatsujin Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 We definitely need one to move some stuff away from general public. There are people (including myself) that view stuff from non-safe NSFW places. Not like I encountered anything as of yet but it would be a good excuse to keep those things in a single section. To elaborate as to why we need one, think of what we could post of links and pictures or talk about dirty things without limits. Obviously, you want to limit the things we post like no real-life lolis and no-real life stuff. It should be related to anime, manga, visual novels, light novels, etc. Japanese stuff basically. So there you go! Quote
Nosebleed Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 But can't you already discuss eroge, h-scenes and other hentai related things in all the current sections we have? We literally have a hentai thread just for this purpose. Hell i've shared some of the hentai manga i've been reading there. You've always been free to discuss any kind of hentai as long as you don't post explicit pictures. I don't see any purpose of a hentai subforum when you can already do all the things you posted above. Quote
Silvz Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 I thought about a hentai section on the main site Quote
solidbatman Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Explicit images are supposed to be in spoiler tags. If you see any that aren't, just report the post. Even then, I believe there are even some limits in place on what kind of explicit images can be psted, but I'm not sure if that changed with the hosting change a while back. Again, if the image is not in spoilers, report it. A mod should also explain to the person who posted it the rule to avoid it happening again. Quote
Kaguya Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 From what I remember, you may post explicit images only in link form, not under spoilers. Quote
Fiddle Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 The line between SFW and NSFW when it comes to this kind of culture is a blurry one, so a hentai section would not favorable in terms of organization, in my opinion. We read VNs that strike you with metaphor and foreshadowing, then lolis and boobs. I don't want to discuss the literary power behind Makina's character development in one forum, then transition to the hentai forum when things seem to be getting ecchi. I haven't personally experienced an incident in which I was surprised by an overly explicit image at the fault of another. I believe that things are fine as they stand. Quote
solidbatman Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 From what I remember, you may post explicit images only in link form, not under spoilers. That actually sounds right. Happened when we got flagged for pornographic images by the host. So yeah, just report anything explicit. A moderator can decide if it violates the rules. Quote

Happened when we got flagged for pornographic images by the host. So yeah, just report anything explicit. A moderator can decide if it violates the rules.Alright. This is new to me. I've been on other forums and they have their own H-threads sections around with different types of threads inside.I like the 'link' idea. Quote
Guest Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 This is not 4chan. If you want to post hentai, it should be - in my opinion - on topic/relevant-ish and linked, no picture. Plus posting a picture could - if I recall correctly - cause problems in terms of hosting. And if you really want to post hentai, I know a certain trash thread where you can do whatever you want. And a hentai section would not help "Making Visual Novels popular in the West". Quote
Zakamutt Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 The law on this was actually laid out ages ago, but it might not be in any sticky (or you just missed it.) Essentially, for the forums in general keep it safe, anything risque in spoiler tags and anything explicit (which is pretty much limited to nipples and genitals) in links only. The main addition to this is that in image threads like the lolis thread etc, these restrictions on risque are somewhat relaxed. Still think the true NSFW must be linked there, though. Also if you link an nsfw pic in irc, you should probably say it is . No regulations on ts3 Quote
