That URL is a bit curious , but this is exactly what I mean by having your own flavor. Daring to have stylish, slightly pixelated graphics, that interlace effect, etc. I will be checking out the game soon and might drop an order if I enjoy it. Feel free to leave thoughts on the game !

No worries! According to Siliconera, they are aiming for a December release, I think. Yeah, we need more games with this courageous type of style .

I'll be definitely keeping an eye on this. Love cyberpunk settings and at that price it's not that risky of a buy. Speaking of which, did anyone play CYPHER?

However, do you think it qualifies as a visual novel?

I haven't played the prologue so I don't have detailed knowledge of the mechanisms of the game. That being said, I don't see anything to disqualify it. Especially considering some of the other games which are considered VNs. You can even argue it's presented in ADV style, for those who love to stick to VNDB's definition of things.

I'm a big fan of the project and I've picked it up, but I haven't had the chance to play it yet. I'm hoping after the Culina Kickstarter is over I'll be able to. :-P

Yeah, I saw this game a year or more ago, it's been in development for a while and I've been looking forward to it ever since. Not a VN, but it seems really cool.

The demo is actually a short preview of sorts.

It's still goddamn awesome.

 

If that's how the whole game will look like, I'm completely sold. It's incredibly atmospheric, mainly because of the soundtrack, snarky writing and crisp pixel art. I could listen to that kind of music for hours. Play it, it's going to take you 10-15 minutes at most and it's well worth it.

 

I'm going to support the devs and grab the preview. It's rare for me to make such a quick judgement based on a short demo, but that's how good VA-11 Hall-a is.
