Down Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Source: Mangagamer twitter The trial version is available on their website, the complete version should be up for sale during the week-end. should come soon. Is out! (31/10) Opening video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qMwlDTZQAs4&feature=youtu.be&a I'm hyped as fuck for this game since Kara no Shoujo is my favorite non-MLA visual novel. Can't wait to play this. Quote
RusAnon Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 On sale this week sounds unrealistic, since no preorders yet. Usually they open preorders at least few weeks before release.Besides, game was sent to beta-testers less than month ago, no way they could finish QA cycle yet, they give at least month just for initial testing playthrough. Down Posted September 12, 2014 Author Posted September 12, 2014 I'm just going with what they say here: Download the trial version and now, and check out #Cartagra this weekend! Quote
RusAnon Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 I bet they will announce release date and open preorders. Quote
Down Posted September 12, 2014 Author Posted September 12, 2014 Well w/e I can plan a full 20 hours chunk to play the game in one go that way. I'll just download the trial while waiting. Quote
SilverLi Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 That VN looks interesting. It somehow missed my radar. Quote
RusAnon Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 http://vndb.org/v515 Apparently at the end of trial there's message that release date is oct 31th. Quote
crunchytaco Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 I'm going to try it only because you mentioned MLA as your favorite. Quote

BookwormOtaku Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 I've played some of the game untranslated and I can say from what I've played it's pretty good, actually ventures into darker territory than Kara no Shoujo. Quote
suikashoujo Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 I've been waiting for this! I downloaded the trial as soon as it came out. Kara no Shoujo wasn't my favorite game by a long shot, but I'm interested in seeing more from IG. Quote
Zakamutt Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 Writeup finally done http://visualnovelaer.fuwanovel.net/2014/09/cartagra-trial-released-by-mangagamer/ I'm modestly excited; main issue is that I'm reading Sharin no Kuni and that takes priority because it's Sharin no Kuni. Quote
Keaton Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 Je ne peux pas attendre pour ce jeu de video! it has been 6 years since i have attempted to use french so I most likely just butchered that. Quote
Down Posted September 26, 2014 Author Posted September 26, 2014 Preorder opened. 10% off at the moment. Also they decided to make a port for OS X and Linux. The very few VN players out there on those systems probably all have an alternative solution already, but meh it doesn't seem like it took Doddler a lot of efforts. Being one on those very few players, I guess they'll sell at least one copy. Je ne peux pas attendre pour ce jeu de video! it has been 6 years since i have attempted to use french so I most likely just butchered that. Correct except it's "jeu vidéo" and not "jeu de vidéo", but awkward as hell. You'd probably say something like "J'ai hâte de jouer à ce jeu" or "Je n'en peux plus d'attendre ce jeu" - in a more slang, less stiff way though. Quote
Chronopolis Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 I thought I had enough of Innocent's gray's setting, but somehow the Catagra PV appeals to me more than the Kara no Shoujo one. The atmosphere is just as strong in either game, perhaps its the more distinct character design (in later games, all the heroines look similar) and much more vivid/dazzling cg+scenery shots versus the abstract theme of the "egg and shell", which I felt didn't come across in KnS as well I would have liked. I wonder if Catagra has a branching story of any length. Quote
johnnysasaki Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 does anybody recognize Fumiko Orikasa as the main heroine?it sounded like her... Quote
BookwormOtaku Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 Here are my thoughts from the Cartagra demo as a starter for my Halloween reviews:http://gamesforadultsandeveryone.blogspot.com/2014/10/halloween-demo-impression-cartagra.html Quote
Beato Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 does anybody recognize Fumiko Orikasa as the main heroine?it sounded like her... According to the official site Kazuna's voice actress is called 秋城柚月 (Akishiro Yuzuki) which is an alias for the voice actress Yasuda Mio (安田未央). Quote
Down Posted October 31, 2014 Author Posted October 31, 2014 It's out! I hope my internet will be cooperative for once, because I sure as hell plan to finish it this week-end. Quote
arakura Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 I'm not going to buy it right away because there are a few/lot of vns on my list before it, but it actually broke into the top 15 that I want to play just from what it looks like. I'm happy to hear about the release! Quote
Heizei_koukousei Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 Is Kara no Shoujo really good? Kara no Shoujo is a really good choice if you are into mystery and murder stuff Edit: I'm excited to play Cartagra for the shared characters mostly Quote
Down Posted November 1, 2014 Author Posted November 1, 2014 Is Kara no Shoujo really good? Yes, definitely, as long as you don't mind the gruesome murders and somewhat depressing parts of the story. Cartagra should be played first though - it was released in Japan before KnS and happens chronologically before too. I could only play 2ish hours last night but it seems fairly similar to KnS on various aspects. Kazuna is cool. Quote

Though I am a bit more interested in Nana, Shugo's sister. Quote
MrP Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 Anyone know if I can somehow continue from my demo savefile? This was my first mangergamer purchase I and gotta say I'm not overly impressed with the minimal support given for a fairly laborious install. Not that it wont be worth my $35 if its even 1/2 the game KnS was. Quote
