Zakamutt Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 you must play multi in 5 hour long grueling sessions, training from hell will make you improve Quote
Nosebleed Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 My friends always force me to play hard maps with DT and i always fail but when i go back to normal speed getting an S isn't as much of an issue anymore. And i used to only play on normal 4 months ago. I can also do a lot more insanes now and sometimes get an A, sometimes... Point is, just practice a lot, i got told this when i was starting and it's gotten me this far in just some months. Just play a lot until your soul leaves your body, Quote
zhurai Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 Yes. Play the game alot. Just like "how to get good at" almost everything in this world. Quote
Guest Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 I'll say the same thing as last time. Play maps you can't finish or those you can barely. Â Well that's my point of view but i'd rather C an extremely difficult map rather than S an easy one. Quote
shcboomer Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 I've been playing what I normally can instead of trying something too hard. I'm progressively getting better. I can almost do some 5+ star maps now. Quote
Lewycool Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 ^It's not hard though Wasn't saying it's hard. It’s an AR 8. I was just saying it was weird to play. Quote
Guest Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 It has been done http://youtu.be/7lf4ya_RplM 260 BPM + AR 10 (And I just noticed in the video that my friend is mutual with Legendre....damn) Â RIPÂ Quote
Nosebleed Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 The streams in this map are so mind blowingly annoying. Look at this crap  Quote
Guest Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Why annoying ? is it the speed or the shape ? Quote
Nosebleed Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Why annoying ? is it the speed or the shape ? Speed. They're slow, and I usually end up just getting 100 in all because i go too fast. Quote
Nosebleed Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 DT it Problem solved ! It becomes too fast that way. The sliders are fast for some reason while the streams are rather slow. Maybe i'm just doing this wrong. Perhaps it just requires a lot of accuracy Quote
Guest Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Strange Indeed. But yeah controling double tapping speed can be a pain sometimes. Â If you want a map with that from beginning to end you can train with Lily - Marie-Lusie It's a cool map for slow streaming training. Quote

If you want a map with that from beginning to end you can train with Lily - Marie-Lusie It's a cool map for slow streaming training. After installing a new skin and tweaking my settings a bit it helped a lot on getting better accuracy on streams. Even those 3 note streams that you need to double tap where I usually got only 100 now I can easily nail most of them. I'm slowly but steadily gaining more accuracy on streams which feels great. It also feels great to be able to finish more insane beatmaps. And I thought it was impossible with mouse and keyboard. My friend has been nagging me to set the proportions of the osu window to 4:3 when I'm already used to 16:9 from the beginning. Is this really mandatory for better gameplay?   My attempt at the song. I was fine with the slow streams but when the slow and fast streams were chained, i started tripping up. So I'm not alone!? Thank god! Quote
Guest Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 I tried playing the map ... god my accuracy is awful ... And I miss last note, FML  As for the screen i'm playing with a 1366*768 resolution. It's not a problem but it might create longer jumps (maybe ? I don't really know) But yeah it's fine. Quote

This map is cursed clearly.  I'm playing on the resolution below that one (my screen's resolution is 1366 x 768 ) so it's widescreen nonetheless. My friend just keeps telling me on a 4:3 propotion the maps can be played better, but trying to get used to it is not working out for me. I can do fine in 16:9 but just wanted to know what other users have. Quote

Guest Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Yeah I have 16:9. I think it's for the jumps. Maybe the game tends to stretch the maps so perhaps it's harder. I don't mind though ... More Challenge ! Quote
Nosebleed Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Yeah the maps get stretched on 16:9 but the option exists for a reason, i'm pretty sure you can play in it just as good as you'd play on 4:3.  So like. I just come back from a shower and start osu  I think i'm going to start taking showers a lot more often. Quote
Guest Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Â I'm a GOD ! Â Meanwhile :Â https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uzqljk6RcLo Quote
Nosebleed Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 maefdoom you sent me a message while I was playing. I forgot to check the chat (only 1 hour later) but i'm still available for multi if you want  Though I think your level is totally above mine. Quote
Zakamutt Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 Lolno maps really don't get stretched in other than 4:3 resolution, that would be ridiculous. If you played with scoreboard up you'd realize the beats never go into its area with a widescreen res. The 4:3 map is effectively letterboxed horizontally on a wider screen.
