I've been playing since September and I have trouble even finishing most hard maps, let alone insane ones, but there's always hope.

Just tried the one you posted, not exactly a stable performance though. By the way, you should look for a skin for osu!, besides looking better they also make it a little easier to play (at least, I find the game slightly easier with this one).

Alicemagic is awesome warm up if you want to get into hard maps because of the fast rythm. Though the map layout isn't really complex, keeping up with it is not that easy at points and that's why I like to use it so much in order to keep up with faster paces. I also often do normals on double time because If i want to reach insane maps i need to get faster~

Ehh I know skins make it better i just never bothered :P And I never know where to look for them anyway.

I've been playing since like December or so and I can manage quite a few hard maps by now whereas before i couldn't even do any with more than 4 stars and a half of difficulty.

I can't do any insane ones but I'm sure with time i'll get there.

I find the default skin (the new one at least) to be just right. Then again, that was because I was used to how osu used to look with the ugly orange spinner.

There ARE skins that  "pros" use but I don't really care since I think part of the fun is seeing each individual map's design and layout. That said, I generally disable the beatmap skin but key the storyboard and background/ video intact.

I also support default skin. It's pretty good these days and I cba hollow notes or nondirectional followpoints

Also normal diff is complete except for combos and hitsounding on the whole tsuioku thingy, check it out maybe

I was in the middle of something but I took a screen shot, so I almost did a 100

The colors are too bright and can barely see the cursor

Wouldn't it be better to practice insane difficulty with normal mode rather than practicing normal difficulty on double time?

Given both have the same speed,Insane map give you more valuable experience since the number of circles you'll be clicking is twice or triple the amount of normal difficulty.Imo.

That's what I would do if i didn't fail 5 seconds into the insane ones.. The health loss ratio is much bigger.

When i say i play normals on double time it's when i can't do the difficulty that comes next to the normal ones. So i just increase the difficulty on the normal map. Eventually i can get the next one.

But i usually just play on hard ones. It was just an example of what I do when i get like an A or S on a map and yet can't manage to beat the next difficulty level on it.

Well, you could always play Insane with NF until you could pass the difficulty without it.(Atleast that's how I practice)

Slider break everywhere~I swear my gaming environment is the worst

Well i did use NF to sort of practice hard maps at first. But when i try with insane ones i fail so many notes it doesn't feel like it's going anywhere. I like practicing, failing, trying again and feel like i'm going somewhere with it. When i fail 80% of the notes it's not very efficient training imo.

Again I'm still not able to play all hard maps and I definitely can't get S ranks on them (I only have like 1 or 2). I'd like to at least achieve good accuracy on hard maps with some consitency to show that I have evolved. I'll try some insanes at some point of course. I haven't been playing osu for that long so there's still time :P

Today i managed to play  one song on hard that I couldn't before, ever, so there's some progress. I also got a bunch more A's on other maps. These kind of small things are what I look forward to when i play osu.

Also, don't forget to learn how to play with the rhythm, and not with game mechanics. Very important lol

By the way my friend IRL that I usually play osu with said he played with you before some months ago and he complained that you utterly crushed him and everyone else in the room.
